Edea's house and White SeeD Ship Esthar, the city of wonders Interlude: Lunatic Pandora Space and its Ragnarok: Save Rinoa! Lunatic Pandora, take two

GFs: Doomtrain
Items: Solomon Ring, Weapons Monthly Special edition

Walking down the railroad tracks with an unconcious person on your shoulders can be so much fun. Except not. Keep walking until you reach the end (more or less), then exit the track and enter the area to the east. Just keep walking north, from screen to screen, and check out the small areas to the right and left for hidden draw points. If you go to the save point on the left, you guessed correctly, it means that a boss will wait for you in the next screen once you pass the cliff.

Name Description HP Location Mug Weakness Draw Reward
AbadonA monster born of ancient bones deep in Great Salt Lake. It's assumed that it came to life after the Great Salt Lake dried up. ca. 510- 17,000 Great Salt Lake (Esthar) Power Wrist Cure, Holy, Fire Esuna, Dispel, Cure/ Cura/ Curaga, Lv.>30: Flare Flare Stone, 40 AP

Our friend Abadon is an undead creature; meaning an X- potion or Leviathan's Recovery- ability will mean an instant kill (or almost, depending on his HP). Before you do that though, be sure to mug his Power Wrist and draw a few Flare- spells which should be of great use later on. If you don't want to waste healing items or -spells on him, that's fine. He's also weak to holy and fire. So as you can see, plenty of weaknesses and not much HP at all. This fight should take 3 rounds maximum until Abadon goes down.

Leave this place, search for the blinking light and let Squall check it out. A secret entrance will appear, so go inside, take the elevator- and watch Esthar city unveil in rfont of you! Impressive, isn't it. And as soon as you leave the platform, a few sequences will start, showing off Esthar's high technology. Squall's party, less impressed it seems, falls asleep for another Laguna- dream...

I'll try to make this short. Talk to your fellow captives and the guards until they leave, then talk to your comrades again to set up an escape plan. Junction your GFs and kill off the guards, use the elevator to go upstairs and overhear an interesting conversation between Odyne and his assistant. Leave the building and empty the draw point on your way. Talk to the guy outside, then go back inside and pick up the special edition of the Weapons Monthly. Search for Odyne and have a serious word with him, then go to the transporter and talk to Ellone. There are a few soldiers who will attack you, so kill them off quickly without procrastinating around for too long, then check the controls to the right until the lock opens and go to Ellone (downstairs, then go north). The sequence will be over however, and your original party will wake up again...

Esthar is one hell of a huge confusing city, you might have noticed that. You will be brought to the palace to meet Dr. Odyne. He is.. a rather interesting fellow, and the way he talks can drive you nuts for sure. Odyne will tell you that Ellone was sighted in the space station, so that will be our next stop. Before you go there though, explore the city a little! You can buy some very useful items here, including a Pet Pal magazine which will teach Angelo his final attack. Some of the merchants will actually give you free items as well! And if they tell you that their shop is closed, just keep pestering them until they are willing to sell you stuff. Don't we just love friendsly customers? Talk to the people around the city, and keep your eyes open for a few hidden draw points.

Once you're done, leave the city. You could rent a car to make things faster; or use Diablos' Enc-None ability because in this area the rate of random encounters is ridiculously high. And the monsters might be a little strong for you at this point. We're STILL not going to the space station though. First of all, we'll get you another GF: Doomtrain. Use your little world map to find Tear's Point and go there first. Empty the draw points and get the Solomon Ring which is lieing on the floor somewhere. If you have a look at the ring in the item menu, it will reveal to you that a GF is sealed inside. In order to unlock it, you have to own 6 Steel Pipes, 6 Malboro- Tentacles (can be gained when defeating the insanely hard monster Malboro) and 6 Remedy+, which you can only gain if you have Alexander's Med LV-Up ability; with which you have to upgrade regular Remedies. Malboros can be found in the Grandidi- forest near Esthar, and on both the Island closest to heaven and the Island closest to hell (where we can't go yet). Stay away from Grandidi forest for now, too. Just trust me. If, for some reason, you should have all the items already, just select the ring in the item menu and you can name your new GF. :)

And NOW we're going to the Lunar Gate. Hooray! Space, here we come!
