Sorceror Spells
Sorceror spells are the black magic category of spells in the
game. They are used, mainly, to cause bodily harm to monsters in
battle (whether it be flame, thunder or freeze based damage) as well as
inflict status ailments. But, they can also be used to raise some
battle stats such as strength and evasion. They also have some
non-battle spells, such as Maps, that let you view a map of the current
level you're on. Spells can fail, don't be surprised when you
cast
a spell and nothing happens. Not all characters can use sor.
spells, and the ones that can use them have them at limited levels. |
- Sorcerors can use all Sorceror spells (duh)
- Thieves can use up to level 3 spells
- Samurais can use up to level 6 spells
- Ninjas can use up to level 2 spells
- Bishops can use all spells

Sor. spells must be learned using Magic Stones, Mutated Stones or
Vellums. When using a Magic Stone the first time, you learn the
spell initially. Each time that you use a magic stone of the same
type, you'll level up that spell. You'll notice on your spells
page a small number located in the 'Rank' part of the spell
chart. This is that spell's magic level. The higher the
number, the stronger the spell. When a spells power is maxed out,
a small star will be in the place of the number. Your
character's Wisdom level (or Faith for Priest Spells) also factors into
that spell's strength as well. Some spells, however, max out at
only one level. |
