Chain Abilities

Offensive Abilities

These abilities can be accessed by pressing the corresponding button at the time one of your attacks connects with an enemy. Two abilities cannot be used in a row. The Cost column indicates how many points will be added to your RISK when a given ability is used.

Name Cost Effect
Heavy Shot 1 Enemy loses HP equal to 70% of total damage dealt by chain thus far.
Gain Life 2 Ashley's HP is restored by 30% of total damage.
Mind Assault 1 Enemy loses MP equal to 30% of total damage
Gain Magic 2 Ashley's MP is restored by 30% of total damage.
Raging Ache 1 Enemy loses HP equal to 10% of all damage sustained by Ashley.
Mind Ache 1 Enemy loses MP equal to 20% of all MP used by Ashley.
Temper 2 Enemy loses HP equal to 40% of total damage; weapon DP is slightly restored.
Crimson Pain 2 Enemy loses HP equal to 100% of total damage; Ashley loses HP equal to 10%.
Instill 1 Enemy loses HP equal to 10% of total damage; weapon PP gains that amount.
Phantom Pain 3 Enemy loses HP equal to total PP in Ashley's weapon.
Paralysis Pulse 3 Attempts to paralyze enemy.
Numbing Claw 3 Attempts to make enemy numb.
Dulling Impact 3 Attempts to silence enemy.
Snake Venom 3 Attempts to poison enemy.
Defensive Abilities

These abilities can be accessed by pressing the corresponding button at the time when an enemy attack connects with Ashley.

Ward 1 Blocks Paralysis and Numbness.
Siphon Soul 6 Ashley's MP restored by 50% of MP used by enemy in attack.
Reflect Magic 2 40% of magic damage dealt to Ashley dealt back to enemy.
Reflect Damage 2 40% of physical damage dealt to Ashley dealt back to enemy.
Absorb Magic 4 Reduces magic damage by 20%.
Absorb Damage 4 Reduces physical damage by 20%.
Impact Guard 4 Reduces physical damage by 50%.
Windbreak 4 Reduces air damage by 50%.
Fireproof 4 Reduces fire damage by 50%.
Terra Ward 4 Reduces earth damage by 50%.
Aqua Ward 4 Reduces water damage by 50%.
Shadow Guard 4 Reduces light damage by 50%.
Demonscale 4 Reduces dark damage by 50%.
Phantom Shield 6 Reduces damage by amount of PP in Ashley's shield.
