Status Effects
Don't let looks deceive you, I am indeed the sun. In battle, Mario will sometimes experience effects that will affect him in some way. Some are bad, and some are good, but they're all detailed here.
Note that there is an x with a number above Mario when he is inflicted with a negative status effect. This number indicates how many rounds that effect will last.
The negative effects are listed directly below. Click here for the positive effects.

Description |
Electric |

Caused by eating a Volt Shroom or wearing the Zap Tap Badge. An enemy that directly attacks an electrified Mario (ie touches him while they attack), will receive slight damage. The effect lasts a couple of rounds with the Volt Shroom, but is permanent with the Zap Tap Badge. |
Stone |
|
If Mario uses a Stone Cap in battle, he will turn to stone, rendering him invulnerable, but unable to attack, for a few rounds. |
Transparent |
|
If Mario uses a Repel Gel, he will be transparent for a few rounds, so enemies won't be able to harm him. |
