Items

Well, old bean, world famous explorer extraordinaire Kolorado here, and, as you no doubt know, I've travelled all around the world, and I've documented many types of items. Here are my findings.
There are four types of items: Regular Items, Key Items, Weapons, and "Peach's Items". Regular Items, Key Items and Weapons should be self explanatory to a smashing adventurer like yourself, and Peach's Items are merely the few items that Peach uses when she is controlled between chapters.

The "Buy Low" column tells the cheapest place to buy an item (if it can be bought), and the "Sell High" column tells where to get the best deal when selling the item. Knowing where to best buy and sell items is a smashing way to raise funds, old chap!
If a location is listed as "Cooked by Tayce T.", that means Tayce T., the chef in Toad Town, can make this item. I have listed the easiest, most attainable cooking combination for each cookable item. If you want all the combinations, check the Recipe Section for the recipe.
Generally, I won't list where to find an item in the field, unless that is the only place to find it, or the item cannot be bought or cooked.

	Crystal Berry	Talk to Posie after talking to Rosie and you'll receive this.
		Give this to Rosie and she'll give you the Water Stone in return.
	Diamond Stone	Found in a treasure room in Dry Dry Ruins.
		Place this, the Pyramid Stone, and the Lunar Stone in their slots to uncover the end of Dry Dry Ruins.
	Dictionary	Found in a chest east of Green Station in Shy Guy's Toybox.
		Return this to Russ T., and he'll give you a Star Piece.
	Diploma	Given to you by the Master in Toad Town's Dojo, after beating him for the third and final time.
		No use for this, other than bragging rights, or course.
	Dolly	It is hidden in a tree in Jr. Troopa's Playground. Use your hammer to retrieve it.
		Return this to Goombaria for a Star Piece.
	Empty Wallet	After Koopa Koot asks for this, it can be found in a bush near the blue house in the west side of Koopa Village.
		Return this to Koopa Koot to receive 1 Coin as a reward.
	Fertile Soil	Given to you by Posie, in the Southwest portion of Flower Fields.
		Use this with Miracle Water and the Magic Bean after the sun returns to grow a beanstalk that leads to Cloudy Climb.
	First-Degree Card	Given to you after defeating Chan in the Toad Town Dojo.
		Having this card allows you to fight Lee in the Dojo.
	Fortress Key	These are found throughout the Koopa Bros. Fortress.
		These unlock the locked doors in Koopa Bros. Fortress.
	Fourth-Degree Card	Given to you after defeating The Master for the second time in Toad Town Dojo.
		Having this card allows you to fight The Master for a third and final time.
	Frying Pan	Found in a treasure chest in Shy Guy's Toybox, east of Pink Station.
		Return this to Tayce T., and she'll be able to cook for you again.
	Glasses	When Koopa Koot asks for these, search a bush near Koopa Village's entrance to find them.
		Return them to Koopa Koot, and he'll give you 1 coin as a reward.
	Gold Credit	Given to you by Koopa Koot after you give him the Life Shroom.
		Let's Mario play both Jump Attack and Smash Attack in the Playroom in Toad Town.
	Jade Raven	Given to you by the Yoshi Village Elder after rescuing the five Yoshi kids.
		Place this on the Raven Statue in the jungle to open up a new area of the jungle.

		Place this, the Pyramid Stone, and the Diamond Stone in their slots to uncover the end of Dry Dry Ruins.
	Record	Given to you by the Boo's in Boo's Mansion after guessing correctly which Boo has it when they pass it around in a circle.
		Use this on the phonograph to attract the Boo, guarding the chest containing the Weight.
	Red Jar	After Koopa Koot asks for this, go to Dry Dry Ruins and buy a Dusty Hammer, Dried Pasta, Dusty Hammer and Dried Shroom, in that order.
		Give this to Koopa Koot, and he'll give you 3 Star Pieces as a reward, and his "favors sequence" will mercifully end.

	Ruins Key	These are found throughout Dry Dry Ruins.
		Use them to unlock the locked doors in Dry Dry Ruins.
	Scarf	Given to you by Merle in Starborn Valley.
		Put this around the snowman's neck in Shiver Snowfield. Shiver Mountain will open up with this and the Bucket on the snowmen.
	Second-Degree Card	Given to you after you defeat Lee in the Toad Town Dojo.
		Having this card allows you to fight The Master in the Dojo.
	Silver Credit	Given to you by Koopa Koot, after you give him a Sleepy Sheep.
		Allows you to play the Jump Attack game in the Playroom in Toad Town.
	Star Stone	Given to you by Merlan, the Magician on Shiver Mountain.
		Use this to access the staircase to the Crystal Palace.
	Storeroom Key	Found in a chest in Shy Guy's Toybox, east of Blue Station.
		Give this to Harry in Harry's Shop and he'll let you raid his storeroom, which contains the Toy Train.
	Tape	When Koopa Koot asks for this, retrieve it from Goompa in Goomba Village.
		Give this to Koopa Koot, and he'll give you 1 coin as a reward.
	Third-Degree Card	Given to you after you defeat The Master in Toad Town Dojo for the first time.
		This card allows you to fight The Master for a second time.
	Toy Train	After getting the Storeroom Key, return it to Harry in his shop, and he'll let you in the storeroom, where the Toy Train is.
		Use this outside of Shy Guy's Toybox so you'll be able to ride it.
	Ultra Stone	Given to you by Raphael the Raven.
		This allows you to Ultra-Rank a party member at a Super Block.
	Volcano Vase	After Mt. Lavalava erupts, you can find this in a chest in Jade Jungle.
		Give this to Kolorado and he'll give you the fourth Magical Seed.
	Warehouse Key	After the "Penguin Murder Mystery" starts, smash the ice on the lake with Tornado Jumps, and retrieve the key at the bottom with Sushie.
		This key opens the warehouse in Shiver City.
	Water Stone	Given to you by Rosie after you give her the Crystal Berry.
		Put this in Lily's spring, and it'll fill up with water again, giving you access to the Bubble Berry Tree.
	Weight	Use the Record in the Phonograph in Boo's Mansion to lure the Boo from the chest, then run to the chest to get the Weight.
		Jump on the couch spring and use the Weight to weigh down the Chandeleir, opening a hidden passage.

Weapons are what Mario punishes the baddies with, of course. There are only six weapons in the game, three hammers and three pairs of boots. Hammers are generally more powerful than boots, but with boots, you can attack twice with a timed hit. Each weapon upgrade not only increases Mario's attack power, but also allows him to navigate an obstacle he previously couldn't!

	Hammer	Found in Jr. Troopa's Playground.
		Finding this will allow Mario to use hammer attacks. In addition, Mario can use the hammer while exploring to hit objects and break yellow blocks.
	Super Hammer	Found in Dry Dry Ruins.
		This more powerful hammer replaces your Hammer. This can be used to smash stone blocks and yellow blocks.
	Super Boots	Found in Boo's Mansion.
		This more powerful pair of boots replaces your Boots. With these, pressing A again while jumping in the air will perform a Spin Jump, which can break certain things from below.
	Ultra Hammer	Found in Flower Fields.
		The most powerful hammer, it replaces the Super Hammer. This can be used to smash metal, stone and yellow blocks.
	Ultra Boots	Found in Toad Town Tunnels.
		The most powerful pair of boots, it replaces the Super Boots. With these, pressing A again while jumping in the air will perform a Tornado Jump, which retains all the abilities of the Spin Jump, but also allows Mario to get a little extra height, helping him to reach high blocks that would otherwise be out of reach.

These are the items used exclusively by Peach in her adventures between Chapters. The Sneaky Parasol can make Peach look like whomever she uses it on, making sneaking around easier than ever, and the Castle Keys are used to open locked doors. The other things have me in a bit of a sticky wicket, though. You don't think she bakes a cake during one of her adventures, do you?
