Deployment Center Mini-Game Walkthrough

All RP's have 'em: Mini-Games! This is the Mini-Game that's in both the GCN and PS2 versions of the game. Like the Treasure Tokens Mini-Game for the GCN, this also can't be accessed til you've freed Nana, but once you do free Nana, you'll have a way to get rare and powerful items and information as well as artwork, videos, and music that you couldn't get elsewhere! Also, this is the only way to get the "keys" for the secret areas you've seen in the walkthrough. This will give you what teams are the best for what you're looking for, what you'll find in the areas, and what areas are the best for building up your troops that you find while on other missions. First a FAQ concerning the Deployment Center.

Q: So, what does this do?
A: It helps you get a lot of stuff that you can't get any where else.

Q: What sort of stuff?
A: Well, powerful Force Metals (All three Reverses can only be gotten through the Deployment Center), Figure Tokens (yup, some of them you've gotta send out troops to find), Tank Parts, Sub-Weapons, Rare Figures (and I'm not talking about the ones that you get in the Treasure Tokens Mini-game. These are ones of places.), Posters (for the Sky Room), Zenny, Data Files (for the Sky Room), Videos, Artwork, and Music.

Q: So, when can I use this?
A: After you rescue Nana from the Tianna Prison Camp.

Q: How do I use this?
A: When you get back to base after saving Nana, talk to her to bring up the Deployment Center Option.

Q: So, can I send my troops anywhere?
A: Not exactly. You can only send Mechaniloids to areas you've already beaten. This means you can send them out to the Lagrano Ruins, Central Tower, and Tianna Camp already.

Q: What's the best place to start off with?
A: See the stars after the name of the place? Those tell how tough the area will be for your Mechaniloids. I'd start off with Central Tower, since that's the easiest  area to begin with.

Q: How are the Mechiloids grouped?
A: They're grouped by Combat, Search, and Intell. They're based on what they're looking for. Combat types are the kind that battle and get the Zenny. Search types are looking for things like the Force Metals, Figure Tokens, Tank Parts, Sub-Weapons, Rare Figures, and Posters. Intell are looking for the data disks, which have things like information, music, videos, and artwork. Most of these items go to the Sky Room, which can also be accessed by talking to Nana, but like I said, there are some valuable items as well.

Q: So, are there teams that are better than others for these missions?
A: Yup, and you'll see which ones they are in this part. Just be warned that even a lucky group might come back beaten.

Q: So, when can I send out my troops?
A: You can send off groups of Mechaniloids (from 1-3) before you go on a mission. Actually, I recommend it, since a lot of the items will help you out on later missions.

First, let's meet the Mechaniloids that'll be in teams for these missions. They'll be grouped by the type that they're under. Also, this'll tell where they're found as well if they need a certain item to start up (some of these will). In those cases, you'll have to come back for them after getting the required item.

Next, I'll show you which teams are the best for an area, and which teams are the worst. These teams can have anywhere from one unit to three units, but depending on from which group you pull units from, this determines how well (or how poorly) your team will do in an area.

Finally, we have the areas and what all you can get there. This'll be divided into the following parts in the chart: Zenny, Force Metals, Figure Tokens, Figures, Sub-Weapons, Tank Parts, Posters, Keys, Design Art, Data Files, BGM (Background Music), and Videos. Please note that not all of these will be found in an area. If they're not in that area, a "None" will be put in that column.

I've noticed that #6 The Task Force shows up twice. I'm guessing this is in two parts. Also, there is no #7, unless that the one with the Vanallia Desert information is supposed to be #7. Note that this is just a check-up of all the things that should be found during your Deployment Center Mini-Game. The Vanallia Desert information is not #13. It is #14. Also, not all of the files can be found in the Deployment Center Mini-Game. Some will be found when facing the Tail Clan members (I don't know which ones tho, since it's been a while), and some will be recieved when certain requirements are met. However those final ones must be found out for yourself. I've only gotten a few, so I don't know what the others are. Oh, and you won't get all of the items out on your first try, so keep sending units into an area until you get a "Cleared" or a star by the name of the place (I forget what it is now). Good luck!
