Only Erim and Daos offer any sort of challenge. They're both long fights. Once Daos is defeated, he'll summon the other 3 Sinistrals and they'll try to merge.

The 4 heroes will stop them though

A ghost of Daos will appear to tell you he's going to drop Doom Island on Parcelyte. A ghost of Iris appears after.

Despite her nature as the Sinistral of Death, she'll tell you to destroy the 3 Mystic Stones that make Doom Island fly and create a path for you. She'll also say that she'll be watching to see if people can build their own future (Lufia 1 hint?).
