Attacks: Slash, Thrust, Tackle, Str. Slash, Kick, Quicksand
Dormant Abilities: Front Menace
Important Battlefield Events:
- If Duyere is reduced to half of his HP (down to 86, to be exact), he and Faulkner flee the battle. Same goes for if Faulkner's HP is reduced to 86 HP.
Strategy
"As the end draws near, banding close becomes a must."
Now that Bastion has the Ultragunner ATAC, it becomes more and more important to group your team up to take advantage of the Assist factor, and to have Bastion heal anyone who's HP is low. We're going to practice this strategy here today. Position your team on the northern bridge, all bunched up with Bastion in the middle part. Put your stronger attackers like Claire and perhaps Franco or Halak in the front, with your long range attackers in the back. Now, allow the silly Imperials to move in. The foolish soldiers decide to attack you in groups of one, which will make them laughably easy to dispatch. In fact, the only thing you have to worry about when taking down the Dantarius troops is the guys that approach from the other bridge. Keep your team back to back to cover yourself from southern attacks, and take the weak Imperials down as you did the weak Imperials shortly before. Even the bodyguards aren't tough to take down, and they attack together.
When Duyere approaches, feel free to attack him for EXP, but don't get him to 86 HP or below. Faulkner is worth much more EXP, and you want to get as much EXP as you can off him (as he also leaves when his HP is reduced to the very same number). Even better, if you can Faulkner dizzy, you can get a boatload of EXP by finishing him off. That EXP could be used for getting Bastion up to a high enough level to learn Soaring Dance... hint hint. Just make sure Faulkner's HP level is relatively low (not TOO low) before you dizzy him. A good way to dizzy him is to use Turbulence to kick up his FP after he tries to Flare Bomb one of your characters (which hurts VERY much). Spiral Dive may be a better choice sometimes though, because it actually causes significant damage.
Now that the mission is complete..
- If you haven't already, choose which girl's ending you're after, and get ready to make a huge morale-affecting choice after the next mission.
- Bastion now controls the Ultragunner ATAC! His Alba is now free for anyone else's use (aside from Sadira).
- You move on to Mission 37
Before beginning Mission 37, save, load stats from Options screen and then Interview, talking to the girl who's ending you want. Check the Briefing for an overview of what's next, and when you're ready, head to Mission 37: Refuge in Nordilian. Hardly!
