- If Ganlon is reduced to half of his HP (68 to be exact), he flees the battle.
- Zakov does not move from his spot in this battle. Nor does he attack, or do ANYTHING.
Strategy
Isn't Zakov a BRILLIANT tactician? With his soldiers strewn all over the battlefield like so much stale confetti, it's not hard to see why he's losing. At least you can take this mission seriously this time.. and you'd better, because if you die now, you lose.
Kingdom 8 is waiting for you at the beginning. Unless you're feeling lucky, try and take it down from a distance with Turbulence. It has a powerful Fireball attack that you don't want to get him by, especially with Ganlon not too far off!
In fact, Ganlon may very well make it to you before you take down Kingdom 8. If he does, be careful of his Fireball attack (also very strong), and take him down with a team effort as soon as you can by having Bastion use powerful attacks, while you hide some of your other guys behind him and use Turbulence from a distance. You probably won't be able to score the kill against him because he flees when you lower his HP to 50%, but get him out of the way and the battle becomes laughably easy.
The Kingdom soldiers will make short work of your Imperial allies in no time, and will proceed to either go after Zakov, or to go after you. Zakov should last a while against the Kingdom cronies, and it doesn't matter if he is defeated; you don't lose the mission or anything.
After taking down Ganlon, keep your team together on or near the bridge and take down whatever comes to you. It's fairly easy to win this battle once Ganlon and the Haizuron troops are dealt with.
Now that the mission is complete..
- You move on to Mission 30
Before beginning Mission 30, save, load stats from Options screen and then Interview. The Shop is open for business, so purchase new swords and stones (you'll need them!). When buying, consider setting Halak up as a secondary healer by buying her an earth elemental stone and working on her BAS stat. Check the Briefing for an overview of what's next, and when you're ready, head to Mission 30: Logan's Test.
