Strategy

Check out the statistics of the enemies in this mission; since you are dealing with Nordilians, expect to be hit HARD by attacks like Fireball and Str. Slash. However, with all that time and energy Nordilians invest in their POW stat, how many points go to defense? The answer is barely any; Nordilians go down very quickly, and have generally low hit rates (usually ranging from 40%-60%). The exception to this is Shion, who raises his stats a little more wisely (and equips water stones.) He's either very smart, or just out of the loop. Claire is violent in nature; she and her troops start moving towards you on their first turns, thirsty for blood. It's a good idea to do the same as them and meet up on the big plateau in the center. Keep your ATACs close to each other, and follow the usual strategy of wearing down your opponents with Turbulence. Take down Claire first, as she is the most powerful opponent on the battlefield. She will counter with Flare Bomb, but this greatly ups her FP. You should know what to do from here; have a high evade character like Andrew do the dizzying work, and Flare Bomb might not even hit you! Zeira is a little slow in this mission due to the terrain, which is mostly rock, not snow. Milea, Andrew and Alden will probably have the best movement range, or Barlow if he's using the Waiban. Remember, Alden is now a member of your party, and though he's not the most powerful member of your team, he is versatile in many ways, and has excellent DEF. If Milea has joined your team, be advised that she is on Level 12. Allow her to catch up by letting her score kills here and there. You'll want her to catch up to Bastion and the others. From this point forward, make it a point to learn all of Bastion's abilities if you haven't already. The last few missions depend on his attacks and support skills. And one more thing; this level is a little slow for level gaining, aside from Milea. That's because of the low levels of the enemies. So just have your characters weaken the Nordilians, and have Milea or anyone else who is behind bump them off.
