Important Battlefield Events:
- 62 turns after the start of the battle, Ganlon and 2 Kingdom soldiers appear from the northern part of the screen and attack.

Strategy
You may be outnumbered, but with Andrew on your team as a controllable character, things might seem a little more in your favour.

Start by advancing forward, but not too forward; you want to be in the position that assures the Muspels can't gang-tackle you. Luckily, the Muspels attack in waves; the first wave will attack, and a while later into the battle, the second will start moving. Allow the first wave to come to you, and greet them with open arms and open hostility. I usually have Andrew use his Tornado attack on the first or second turn to mess around with the enemy's attack. Zeira, meanwhile, will usually move up as high as he can and fight like the crazy horse he pilots.

Doesn't Ganlon look a bit like Hitler? Maybe it's just me. He does talk like Foghorn Leghorn though with all the ah-ing.

Upon nearly clearing out the first wave, Ganlon appears. He's not here to help you; as the game's subtle hints have lead you to believe, Ganlon's loyalty lies elsewhere.

At that point, Ganlon and his corrupted Kingdom cronies will probably move to the eastern corner where your team resides and will try and hit you from behind. At this point, you should try and finish off any Muspel soldiers in your way, and then move in and gang-tackle Ganlon before he even gets any commands in. The Muspel soldiers that you hadn't slain will most likely hit you from behind, but it's much worse to be hit by Ganlon than the relatively weak first wave. Also, this way will ensure that you get the Ganlon kill, because Zeira will be up in the western regions, battling Muspels and doing a horrible job at it.

Keep attacking Ganlon, and he won't move in from behind; he'll be too dizzy. Let your lowest level fighter get the kill; Ganlon is worth a considerable amount of EXP.

Now that the mission is complete..

- Shortly into Mission 12, Bastion gets a new ATAC....

- You move on to Mission 12, or Mission 45

During the story scene after the battle, if and only if you have completed the game prior to this point, a question comes up that must be answered. Answer "I intend to end the war." to stay on the Kingdom Branch, or answer "I will conquer the Continent!" to bring up another question; answer that the same way to move on to Mission 45 and the Ruin Branch.

Before beginning Mission 12 (or 45), save your game and do all the load stats stuff, and head to the Interview screen. Talk till you can talk no more, then check the Briefing for an overview of what's next, and when you're ready, head to Mission 12: Legendary Light. Or Mission 45: Faulkner the Filcher.
