Duel Strategy
Everyone once in a while in the game you will be challaged to a one on one duel. There only three duels in the game, but losing the two with Tir means game over, while the one with Pahn costs him his life if he loses. In order to win you must guess what attack the enemy is going to use on you. Attack against Defense, Desperate Move against Attack, and Defense against Desperate Move.

VERUS 
This fight starts after the destruction of the Burning Mirror. Kwanda, still mad at his army defeat challages you to a duel which if you win, will be allowed to recruit him.
Make sure to heal yourself after the Dragon fight so you are not weak for the fight. His attacks don't hurt too much, but you do about the same damage to him. If you need help, refer to the quote guide by clicking the link above, but if not, then try to guess the quotes and counter with them. Losing this fight will end the game, so beware.

| "Forget it. You're methods are obvious." |
| "Now it's your turn. Come on!" |
| "Pretty good. How about another one?" |

| He is going to use desperate attack. |
| "Here we go again!" |
| "Impossible! You can't avoid my blows!" |
| "Interesting. How about another round?" |
| "I'll get you!" |
| "I'll show you how it's done." |
| "Take that!" |
| "The next one won't be so easy!" |
| "Victory is near! I strike with all my might!" |
| "We're getting nowhere. Here I come!" |
| "Well done. You're a worthy opponent. Now it's my turn!" |
VERUS 
After losing to the Armored Cavalry, Tir and the his compainions tried to head back to the castle, but Teo, his father tries to stop him. In order to slow them down, Pahn offers to challage his former master to a duel that could cost him his life.
This is a very differcult fight that will cause Pahn to die if he loses. In order to win, make sure Pahn is up to level 12 in his weapon and at level 31 with all the best armor on him. Once you fight Teo, he will often use desperate moves against you, so defend against him.

| "Can you dodge my blade, Pahn?" |
| "Excellent, Pahn. You're a real fighter. Here's another!" |
| "Finish me with a single blow!" |
| "Hmmm. Here I come again!" |
| "If you don't attack, I will!" |

| "My killer blade..." |
| "Now that I've seen what you've got, I'll show you what I can do." |

VERUS
Once you have obtained the Fire Spears, you are able to defeat your father's Armored Cavalry in battle. But before it over, you must face your father in a duel to determine who is the victor.
Teo is weaken after the battle with the army, so you have the upperhand against you father. He behaves like the duel against Pahn, but isn't nearly as strong, so it easy to win this duel against your father.

| "I underestimated you! What's wrong? Another round?" |
| "I'll see you coming next time!" |
| "Leader of the Liberation Army! No wonder you're careful." |
| "Show me what you've learned." |
| "Well done! I must be more careful too." |
| He is going to use desperate attack. |
| "Are you trying to surpass me?" |
| "Can you avoid my sword?" |
| "Hmmm. Here I come again!" |
| "I'm delighted, my son. You're quite a warrior. But here's another!" |

| "My sword is the Emperor's sword. I'll show no mercy!" |
