The Village of Trintan
|
The town of Trintan. Lovely neighbourhood, lousy neighbours, namely, goblins. The first wave is cannon fodder, as are the rest of them. A big bag of gold resides just a bit down from the spot you start from. |
Ooo. Big secret we have here. Just push up on the spot see in the picture, just like you'd take the stairs down. Make sure the whole party enters, or it'll be frustrating to just wait. |

|
Skeletons guard this warehouse. Just have a cleric turn 'em and hope his compadres leave him at least some treasure - the boxes contain a hand axe, a mace and money, the left metal box is trapped with fire, so watch your step or have a thief do her thing. |
Continue on. Gnolls. Compared to goblins, these guys are a bit more dangerous. Easily dispatched, homever. Your first trapped box makes an appearance aswell, if you skipped the warehouse. The Bottle of Elemental'll make your life easier by knocking down all enemies with fire damage. Single use item, though. |

Carve your way through some Owlbears and some Gnoll Archers for some more loot lying on the ground, and prepare for your first boss. The Goblin War Machine. You will do fine if you lets your casters weave every spell they have left, as they'll all level up and regain their daily spell allotment after the battle. Your melee attackers should take care, as they can be knocked down very easily after the chariot charges. You can slow down it's movement why taking out the goblins pushing the warmachine, but they'll recover after a moment.. Elves and thieves may find ranged support just the thing the rest of the party need. |
You can take the goblins out with the Elemental Bottle too to stop it down. A good tactic is to toss a burning oil just in front of the machine, causing it to run into it for a few times, giving your melee people a chance to drop the goblins pushing it and the rest of the party a break into hacking the machine to pieces. After dispatching this mechanical terror, you will be given a choice of two paths to take to the principalities of Glantri. Either by Land on by the means of a Juggernaut with more encounters, or by Boat on a river with less encounters and the chance to snag quite a bit of gold. (If you follow my directions, that is..) |
