Ring Keeper: After discovering The Secret Garden, agree to help Florina rid Filgaia of the evil soil. Head to Decaying Labyrinth, and you'll find Ring Keeper at the end.
Boss Battle: Ring Keeper
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Ring Keeper: |
4800 | 3900 | 4000 | EARTH, WATER, WIND, THUNDER, ICE | DARK | LIGHT | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Mighty Swing (physical attack to one, counterattack)
Phantom Hazard (dark elemental damage to all)
Anti-Arcana Zone (nullifies all Arcana), |
How To Win:
Having been cooped up in a decaying labyrinth for so long, the Ring Keeper has developed a hate for bright light. He may be weak to Spectre, but there is a better and more effective way to beat him.
First, start the battle by having Virginia attack to get her FP up, and Gallows attack to get his FP up. Jet should cast Fragile, and Clive should attack. Ring Keeper will probably unleash his powerful Phantom Hazard attack on your party, dealing about 250 to all. On the second turn, Mystic a Lucky Card, have Jet use a Gella Card, and use Extension + Valiant. Make sure you do this now, because in a few turns, Ring Keeper may cast Anti-Arcana Zone, and you will not be able to use Valiant OR Spectre should this happen.
Once you have casted Valiant, begin an all out attack. Attack him relentlessly with everything you have, and you should be dealing about 500-800 damage per team member to him. Combined with the damage done with Clive earlier, this should kill him. If not, keep it up!
If by chance the boss blocks out Arcana on the first turn or before you cast Valiant, all is not lost. You should have a bunch of Light Gems from killing enemies in the dungeon with Spectre, so use them on the boss with those who aren't attacking. Keep your HP up by Mysticing Heal Berries when needed, and you'll do fine.
|
Lolithia: In Mimir's Well, enter the password "emeth" into the terminal (make sure it's all in lower-case, and don't enter the quotes!).
Boss Battle: Lolithia
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Lolithia: |
22000 | 27000 | 30000 | NONE | ICE | FIRE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Freezing Zone (doubles damage dealt by ice attacks for 3 to 5 turns),
Cold Sleep (deals ice damage and causes sleep to one target),
Cocytus (deals ice damage to the entire party), |
How To Win:
Lolithia is hardly the beast she once was in WA1, but she's still not a pushover. If you gathered Ice Rings from Cradle of the Metal God, then this fight should be no problem; just keep attacking until you emerge victorious, casting Status Lock on your teammates to block out the Sleep status caused by Cold Sleep.
If not, then the battle will be a little tougher, but it's still nothing to worry about. Use Status Lock to block out the Sleep status, and attack with Valianted characters. You'll win fairly quickly.
|
Power Trask: In Ka Dingel, head to where you fought Trask before. Stand in front of the holographic archive and play the Kramer Dolls.
Boss Battle: Power Trask
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Power Trask: |
80000 | 65000 | 78000 | NONE | ALL | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Bio Missile (physical attack to one, also counters any type of physical attacks) |
How To Win:
Trask has switched gears here; rather than boasting a high DEF stat, he's tossed away his armored shell for a major attack boost.
The primary source of damage here is going to be Finest Arts, so we want to get Clive's ammo count down as soon as possible. Once you hit 0 ammo, have him attack until he reaches 100 FP, and once he does, hit Trask with Finest Arts. Then, if you don't mind using a Full Carrot, have Virginia Mystic a Full Carrot, and have Clive do something other than reload to pass a turn and NOT reload. Next turn, you'll be able to Finest Arts again. After a few Finest Arts moves, you'll emerge victorious.
However, watch your HP! Every time Clive scores a hit, have someone heal him from the resulting counterattack! Keep Virginia's FP up to at least 25 at all times, so that you can Mystic a Potion Berry if the need arises.
|
Kraken: In Little Twister, play the Kramer Dolls in front of the well near the entrance.
Boss Battle: Kraken
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Kraken: |
280000 | 95000 | 114000 | NONE | THUNDER | WATER | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Giant Swing (physical attack to one, also counters any type of physical attacks),
Hydro Launcher (water-elemental magic attack to one),
Maelstrom (water-elemental magic attack to all team members) |
How To Win:
Perhaps the strangest thing about Kraken is that he has an elemental weakness to water, yet he lives in a well! How this poor overgrown fishie managed to get by is beyond me.
Depending on which part of the game you have reached when you choose to battle Kraken, you may want to fight him differently. If you do NOT have Finest Arts, then the best way to do things is to equip all of your characters with Water Ward, and give Gallows the Aqua Wisp, Love Charm and Lust Jaw Mediums, then set him up with the Weakness Personal Skill. Have him use Copy Ability to acquire Kraken's attacks, and use said attacks to deal massive damage! Meanwhile, keep your team healed, cast Feeble Mind to lower Kraken's MGR, and DON'T ATTACK WITH ANYONE ELSE!
Or, you may want to use Finest Arts, so we'll want to get Clive's ammo count down as soon as possible. Once you hit 0 ammo, have him attack until he reaches 100 FP, and once he does, hit Kraken with Finest Arts. Then, if you don't mind using a Full Carrot, have Virginia Mystic a Full Carrot, and have Clive do something other than reload to pass a turn and NOT reload. Next turn, you'll be able to Finest Arts again. After about 5 or 6 Finest Arts moves, you'll emerge victorious.
However, watch your HP! Every time Clive scores a hit, have someone heal him from the resulting counterattack! Keep Virginia's FP up to at least 25 at all times, so that you can Mystic a Potion Berry if the need arises.
|
Arioch: In Den of Miasma, head through the dungeon as you normally would until you reach the bombable wall in the room before the room where you fought Goldrake. If you haven't done so already, bomb the wall and head inside. Stand in front of the holographic archive and play the Kramer Dolls.
Boss Battle: Arioch X 4
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Arioch: |
1* | 1* | 1* | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Agony Effect (non-elemental magic damage to one team member) |
How To Win:
This fight is perhaps the easiest battle in the game... the first time.
You see, defeating the Arioches is hardly the end. Upon winning the battle, the Arioch side-quest begins. To actually "defeat" this boss, you will need to face it again and again in random battles throughout the dungeons of Filgaia. Each battle is the same, but each Arioch will have higher and higher status after each battle. However, the basic strategy will always remain the same; attack with all you have.
|
Bombur: In Ark of Destiny, play the Kramer Dolls in front of the "blue save robot", Bombur.
Boss Battle: Bombur
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Bombur: |
64000 | 60000 | 72000 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Desperation (physical attack to one),
Numb Light (causes Amnesia status to one),
Wheel Laser (non-elemental magic damage to all team members) |
How To Win:
Before doing anything, set Gallows up with the Hope Shard and Love Charm mediums. On the very first turn, have him Extend a Status Lock spell, and on the very second turn, have him Extend a Status Lock spell. This will protect you from Amnesia and will guarantee you that 60000 EXP, but you still have to win the fight!
Luckily, Bombur isn't much of an opponent. Wheel Laser is fairly strong, but it really doesn't matter if it's strong or not, because it should only take a few attacks and a Finest Arts to deplete Bombur's HP to zilch.
|
John Dee: Head back through Nidhogg Pass to Greenlodge, and awaken the holographic archive there.
Boss Battle: John Dee
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
John Dee: |
170000 | 80000 | 96000 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
You had it coming (physical attack to one, also used a counterattack to any physical attacks),
Eraser (erases positive statuses on all team members, used whenever positive statuses are cast),
Suppressed Curse? (dark-elemental magic damage to one team member),
Unbreakable Spell? (light-elemental magic damage to all team members),
Agony Effect (non-elemental magic damage to one team member),
Paradigm Pollution (non-elemental magic damage to all team members),
|
How To Win:
This oddly-named boss can be a real pain in the behind. Not only does he hit hard with attack-all magic damage, but he'll counter nearly every physical hit you deal to him with one of his own, and casting support Arcana is useless, because he'll always use Eraser to clear it!
Set each of your team members up with full Dark and Light elemental protection with the Light and Dark Ward skills. This will block out SOME of John's harmful spells, but you'll still be open to damage from Paradigm Pollution and Agony Effect.
Again, the primary source of damage here is going to be Finest Arts, so we want to get Clive's ammo count down as soon as possible. Once you hit 0 ammo, have him attack until he reaches 100 FP, and once he does, hit John with Finest Arts. Then, if you don't mind using a Full Carrot, have Virginia Mystic a Full Carrot, and have Clive do something other than reload to pass a turn and NOT reload. Next turn, you'll be able to Finest Arts again. After about 3 or 4 Finest Arts moves, you'll emerge victorious.
To make things even faster, try using Weaken on John to force an elemental weakness on him, then attach that element to your FA attacker. Thanks to The 984 for this tip!
However, watch your HP! Every time Clive scores a hit, have someone heal him from the resulting counterattack! Keep Virginia's FP up to at least 25 at all times, so that you can Mystic a Potion Berry if the need arises.

Adult Magazines: With a Duplicator and a Migrant Level of 18 or higher, hea to Leyline Observatory and open up the book entitled Adult Mag. Agree to take a look at the stimulating material. 8P
Boss Battle: Adult Magazine X 12
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Pr0n: |
12000 | 7500 | 6250 | NONE | NONE | FIRE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Agony Effect (non-elemental magic damage to one team member),
Grav (reduces HP of one target by 50%),
Melancholy Pose (wastes a turn) |
How To Win:
If you insist on staring, then just select one of them as a target and let the screen rotate around a bit while you... examine the enemy models a bit.
When you're ready to fight, don't take chances. Equip Virginia with the Fiery Rage, Lust Jaw and Aqua Wisp, then equip the Weakness Personal Skill to full. Give Gale Claw to Jet to boost his speed. Now, switch the turn order so that Jet goes first, then Virginia, then the others. Have Jet use a Full Carrot on Virginia, and have Virginia summon Moor Gault. If all goes well, you'll have won.
|
Heimdal Gazzo: In Dissection Facility, head to the room where you must push the two massive blocks to form a bridge. Push the first block out of the way to reveal a door, then head inside and use the Kramer Dolls on the holographic archive.
Boss Battle: Heimdal Gazzo
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Heimdal Gazzo: |
117000 | 70000 | 84000 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Eyeball (physical attack to one),
Screaming Mad (dark-elemental magic attack to one),
Phantom Hazard (dark-elemental magic attack to all team members), |
How To Win:
With Dark Ward Personal Skills maxed out on each of your team members, you have nothing to worry about. Heimdal will occasionally use a weak Eyeball attack, but the damage dealt by it is miniscule at the most.
Again, the primary source of damage here is going to be Finest Arts, so we want to get Clive's ammo count down as soon as possible. Once you hit 0 ammo, have him attack until he reaches 100 FP, and once he does, hit Heimdal with Finest Arts.
|
Emperor Marduk: Complete all 3 divisions of Gunner's Heaven within the turn limits, then speak to Duke Begucci.
Boss Battle: Emperor Marduk
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Emperor Marduk: |
240000 | 90000 | 108000 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Screaming Mad (dark-elemental magic damage to one target)
Agony Effect (non-elemental magic damage to all team members)
Satellite Extinction (non-elemental magic damage to all team members)
Restoration (heals him for about 3000 HP)
|
How To Win:
Marduk, a distant cousin of Angolmois, hits hard for non-elemental damage with Satellite Extinction, but luckily, he doesn't seem to use it all that often. Though there's no way to completely block out the attack when it hits, you can switch your Medium setup to give Gallows Terra Roar and Hope Shard, and have him Extend a Protect spell during the first round, then Extend a Permanence spell during the second. Meanwhile, cast Fragile on Marduk and Hyper on Clive, and have Clive attack.
The primary source of damage here is going to be Finest Arts, as usual, so we want to get Clive's ammo count down as soon as possible. Once you hit 0 ammo, have him attack until he reaches 100 FP, and once he does, hit Marduk with Finest Arts.
But watch your HP! Keep Virginia's FP up to at least 25 at all times, so that you can Mystic a Potion Berry if the need arises.
|
Bad News: After defeating Marduk, speak to Ortega and choose Chat.
Boss Battle: Bad News
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Bad News: |
325000 | 100000 | 120000 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Power Mountain Load (physical attack to one character)
Counter Tomahawk (physical attack, used as a counterattack to all physical attacks)
Rocket Bazooka (physical attack to one character that causes amnesia status)
Hatchet Blow (physical attack to one character that causes confusion status)
Believe in yourself (heals him for about 3000 HP)
|
How To Win:
You'll want to begin this battle by Extending Status Lock, Shield and Permanence Spells. This will lessen the damage you take from Ortega's physical hits, and it will also block out the harmful status effects (after all, being confused sucks, but missing out on 100000 EXP sucks even more, right?)
Next, Mystic a Lucky Card if you have it, and simply do what you did to win the last fight. Keep Virginia on 25 FP for emergency Potion Berry healing, and simply shoot until Clive's ARM is out of ammo, then pull off Finest Arts. Lather, rinse and repeat until you emerge victorious!
|
Black Box: Open 319 of the 320 treasure chests, then speak to the black chest in Fortune Gear.
Boss Battle: Black Box
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Black Box: |
136000 | 102000 | 85000 | NONE | NONE | LIGHT | DARK | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Gimmick Hand (physical attack to one, also used as a counterattack to any physical attacks),
Screaming Mad (darkness elemental magic damage to one target, also used as a counterattack for arcana that isn't of Light or Dark element),
Phantom Hazard (darkness elemental magic damage to all team members, used as a counterattack for light elemental arcana attacks), |
How To Win:
Think of Black Box as a souped-up Mimic that learned some attack magic along the way. Unless, of course, you have all of your characters with the Dark Ward Personal Skill set up to full. With Dark Ward fully activated, this boss will only be able to hurt you with Gimmick Hand, and that can very easily be healed.
Notice that Black Box has an obscenely high EXP amount. With Dark Wards, you can gain quite a bit of EXP in this fight with a simple trick. Activate everyone's Dark Ward skill to full, and Mystic a Lucky Card and use a Gella Card on the first turn. On the second turn, have everyone use a Light Gem on Black Box (assuming you have a large collection of them. If you don't, head to the Fila Del Fia crater and summon Stare Roe on the Dust Men). Every turn, you will hit Black Box for miniscule damage, but that's not the point. Every time you do this, he will counterattack with Phantom Hazard, increasing each of your team member's EXP multiplier by .4 a turn! Continue this for approximitely 22 turns, and you'll have earned a 9.9 multiplier... that's 1346400 EXP!
Of course, actually defeating Black Box is a different matter altogether. It's very easy. At this point in the game, you can easily take him down with a few Finest Arts and Spectre spells. If you have Full Carrots to spare, use them after a character has performed Finest Arts to allow them to do it again quickly (make sure NOT to reload!) Then enjoy the EXP, Gella and EX File Key... you've certainly earned them!

Luranaire Zein: You'll find him in the Abyss, floor 30.
Boss Battle: Luranaire Zein X 3
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |

Absorbed: |
Luranaire Zein: |
12000 | 17000 | 20000 | DARK | NONE | LIGHT | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
Prepare Intercepts: (used at beginning of turn, if Ephrem is damaged before cancelling intercepts, he'll use Luminous Impact)
Intercepts Cancelled: (used after Gallows' turn, only if Luminous Impact wasn't used)
Luminous Impact: (light-elemental damage to your entire party)
|
How To Win:
This boss is nearly identical to Ephrem Zein, whom you battled earlier. The difference here is that there are now 3 Zeins to take down. However, the same strategies apply. This should be a very easy win.
|
Zaverga Zein: You'll find him in the Abyss, floor 60.
Boss Battle: Zaverga Zein X 4
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |

Zaverga Zein: |

Boss' Attacks:
Prepare Intercepts: (used at beginning of turn, if Ephrem is damaged before cancelling intercepts, he'll use Luminous Impact)
Intercepts Cancelled: (used after Gallows' turn, only if Luminous Impact wasn't used)
Luminous Impact: (light-elemental damage to your entire party)
|
How To Win:
Again, this boss is identical to Ephrem Zein, except this time, there are four of them for you to take down. Use the same strategy you used to take down Ephrem and Luranaire, and you'll have no problems at all. Do it quickly though; on the fourth turn, the Zeins will merge together, and their combined form is more difficult than the separated form!
|
Ragu O Ragla: You'll find him in the Abyss, floor 100.
Boss Battle: Ragu O Ragla
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Ragu O Ragla: |
750000 | 0 | 0 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
100 Billion Degrees: (massive fire-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Giant Impact: (physical attack to one)
Counter Sweep: (physical attack to one; Ragu uses this to counterattack any physical attacks)
|
How To Win:
First thing's first; EQUIP EVERYONE WITH FIRE WARD! If you don't, you will be killed by 100 Billion Degrees.
Ragu is a very difficult boss... in theory. With the right procedure and precaution, you'll find that he's not hard to beat at all; the battle is merely time-consuming.
With that in mind, begin the battle by having Virginia Mystic a Full Carrot. Next, have everyone spend a few turns casting as many positive statuses as possible on every character: Protect, Shield, Distortion, Hyper (not Valiant), Turbulence, etc. Use Permanence to allow these to stay until the end of the battle. Once you're done all this (you'll probably end up flipping your Mediums around quite a bit), set your Mediums back up the right way.
Assuming you have Clive with Finest Arts (I'm assuming you do), have him start using normal attacks to deplete his ammunition to 0. MAKE SURE YOU HEAL HIM AFTER EVERY ATTACK TO OFFSET THE COUNTERATTACKS! Get his ammo down to 0, his FP to 100 (should be 100 after the Mystic'd carrot), and then unleash his Finest Arts at full power. This will do a LOT of damage to Ragu, but still not nearly enough to kill him.
After that, repeat the process a bit. Heal Clive back to full while he wastes turns casting spells that DON'T target Ragu (we want him doing something that doesn't involve guarding or attacking so we can keep his ARM empty). And give him another Full Carrot or 4 Mini Carrots to get his FP back to 100. With 100 FP, full HP and no ammo in his ARM, have him Finest Arts again. And keep doing that until Ragu finally dies.
Much like Nemesis in FFX, all Ragu takes is a lot of damage. Using this strategy, you are guaranteed a win as long as you don't run out of healing items and carrots..
|
Ragu O Ragla (Round 2): After winning the first fight, you're pretty much forced into this one.
Boss Battle: Ragu O Ragla (Round 2)
Boss Name: |
HP: |
EXP: |
Gella: |
Halved: |
Resistant: |
Weakness: |
Active: |
Absorbed: |
Ragu O Ragla: |
999999 | 0 | 0 | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE | NONE |
Boss' Attacks:
One Trillion Degrees: (massive fire-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Crack Tremor: (earth-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Maelstrom: (water-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Storm Blade: (wind-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Electrigger: (thunder-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Cocytus: (ice-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Luminous Impact: (light-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Phantom Hazard: (dark-elemental magic damage to your entire party)
Counter Sweep: (physical attack to one; Ragu uses this to counterattack any physical attacks)
|
How To Win:
Ragu is back.. and this time, he's pissed!
This fight is almost identical to your first battle with Ragu, with one exception; he's tossed away his normal physical attack, and he now has access to every common attack-all elemental spell! Equip as many Elemental Wards as you can up to full!
That being said, Round 2 with the big R Oh R is pretty much a carbon copy of the first fight, except with more HP. Use the exact same strategy, and prepare for a lengthier, if not a little easier, battle. As long as you brought along a healthy supply of carrots and berries, you'll find the "hardest battle in WA3" to be quite easy.
