Village of Lahan

Items found: 200G, 120G, 80G, 5 Aquasols, Aquasol S, Eyeball, Mermaid Tear, Power Ring, RPS Badge, Spider Web.

When you start the game, you watch an FMV and some introduction scenes, then you can move around in Fei's room. Search under your bed to get 200G. After this go to the other room (don't go up the stairs), rotate the camera and get a spider web. Then get 2 Aquasols inside the barrels and go up the stairs.

Speak with Timothy (the macho guy with funny hair) and he'll ask Fei to visit Alice. Before exiting the house, Dan stops Fei and wants to have a serious conversation outside with Fei (Leave that for later). Head to the village consultant village, you can learn lots about fighting, meet Lucca from Chrono Trigger (Watch out, she'll charge for her teachings :P) and save the game. Talk to the guy explaining Abilities and he'll give 80G for listening to him.

Go to the next house and challenge the RPS player. Win him 5 times in a row to get the Mythical RPS Hero badge. Now go down the stairs and tell the old lady you like Lahan to get 120G. Now go the middle of the town and jump on the well until you get an Eyeball, an Aquasol S and a Power Ring. Talk to the cow lady near the well and say no to get an Aquasol. Talk to the old man cropping the fields twice to get 2 Aquasols, then check the bar. Tell the drunkard "drinking won't help matters" and he'll give you a Mermaid Tear. Now that you're done getting items, go talk to Dan, then to Alice. Leave town and head north to the Mountain Path.

Mountain Path and the Lahan Incident

Items found in the path: Bird Egg, 2 Aquasols, Spider.
Items found in Citan's house: Midori's Ring, Aquasol, 120 G

Move up to the tree near the sign and jump on it to get a bird egg. A chicken will keep taking 1 HP of you every time you refuse to give the egg back.

To your northeast is an aquasol. Then head back west and go east, circle around and after talking to the kid jump off the ledge. After you've crossed the bridge, circle to the level below to get another Aquasol. Before exiting the area, check a nearby tree and jump on it to get a spider.

When you reach Citan's house, go to the back door and jump behind the flowers to get Midori's ring (It won't show up on the item list, but you have it.). Then go up the ladder and check one of the doors halfway to get an Aquasol (A chicken will come out of it). Then head to the telescope, jump to the small roof to your side and check the chimney for 120 G. Now go to the main entrance and talk to Yui and Midori (Yui will bake the bird egg for you). After that, head to the other house with a land crab, talk to Citan then touch the music box.

After a dinner scene, Fei leaves. Save your game before the exit (Don't worry, there are no monsters now) and you'll reach Lahan. You'll watchsome dramatic events and fight an easy battle against a gear, then you can leave the area and head to the Blackmoon Forest.

Black Moon Forest

Items found: 2 Aquasols, Survival Tent, Arcane Rod

First, head southwest until you reach a crossroad, then head to the east path. Jump over the 2 rocks to reach the trunk. The jump down to another trunk on the southwest to get an Aquasol. Now go southwest yet again, jump the roots and reach a Memory Cube. Continue on the ledge and after killing another group of Hobgobs, jump back to the ledge to evade the big boulder. Follow the path where the boulder was and you'll watch a small FMV.

Fight the 2 Forest Elfs and after another scene, proceed to the next area. Go South until you reach a sign, then head Southwest and jump to get an Aquasol, then go back to the sign. From there, head East, then climb the ledge to reach another sign. Head South and before jumping to the Memory Cube, turn West and jump down to get an Arcane Rod. You'll have to go back all the way and this time jump to the Memory Cube and get a Survival Tent. Follow the bridge and youll fight 2 Forest Elfs and 2 Dive Bombers. After watching more Anime and more scenes, follow after Elly to meet your First Boss, Rankar.

The first round is impossible, just wait until you get some help. After climbing on a gear, though, it's just a matter of patience...keep hitting it until it falls. After parting ways with Elly, Citan joins the party and you can head South to The City of Dazil.

City of Dazil

Items found: None

Visit the town, buy some equipment and items if necessary. Meet Big Joe for the first time in the bar, then ask about a sand buggy in one of those houses. Then head to the Ethos workshop. After Citan asks about the parts, exit the workshop and watch a scene. After that the buggy will be back! Return to the house you went earlier and Citan will leave the party. Go to the bar, rest and save. Take this opportunity to level up and train deathblows before going after Citan. When you're ready, exit town and head into the Desert.

Follow the gears direction on the desert. Then you'll see the scene from the image above, then follow their direction again until you get a motorbike. After you recover Weltall you'll have to fight 2 easy Troopers. After an easy win, Grahf shows up and summon a Wyrm Boss.

Don't use Physical Attacks, just keep using Guided Shot and the Wyrm will be down quite easily...after that, more Gears show up and you are forced to surrender. On the transport, save your game, talk to Citan twice, then go to sleep.

Desert Pirates

Items found in the Transport: Extra Ar +1, Leather Vest, Rosesol, Survival Tent

The transport is covered with quicksand and you must be quick to get all items (or you could also let yourself be drown...you'll restart from your cell but carrying the items you got). Exit the Cell, go East, then South to get a Survival Tent. Then go back west past your cell, then South to get a Rosesol. After that go South and climb down the ladder. On this floor you'll fight some Aveh Corporals (notice that you and the enemies get damaged by a "Fire from the Engine Room!" every 2 turns...The engine room must be REALLY big, because no matter how long you stay, it won't explode :P) and the floor will crumble, so keep running as much as you can. Run East, climb the ladder to the North and continue running North, then West to find an Extra Ar +1. Go all the way back to the ladder and climb the South ladder this time. Get the Leather Vest and run back East to the upper floor. Save your game, then circle around the crates to get outside the Transport.

Go through the Crane evading the bars (or jumping them). Fei won't fall, but if you take too long he'll have to start all over from the Cell (In that case, run East to another ladder directly to the upper floor before it's blocked by sand. You don't have to worry about getting the items all over again). After reaching Weltall, Bart will show up and attack you.

Use Guided shots or Triangle, Square attacks. Before you can actually finish the battle, you'll both sink into the Stalactite Cave.

Stalactite Cave

Items found: Gold Nugget, Iron GWhip

After Bart and Fei introduce themselves and a scene between Citan and Sigurd occurs, you can move around with the 2 gears. Head South, then West until you find a big rock and you'll shove it off. Follow the passageway and head South to get a Gold Nugget, then West to another entrance. Cross the long corridor, then cross the bridge on the next area. When you reach the standing Gear, head West, then North and jump 3 platforms to get an Iron GWhip. Go back to the Standing Gear and head SouthWest to the next area. After jumping a few platforms, use the Memory Cube and get outside the Gears to enter the cave.

After some scenes with Bal, talk to him again to upgrade your gears (I recommend leveling up until you can get all the upgrades). Go back to the Standing Gear area and head to the platform where you got the Iron GWhip and turn off the sensor on the second platform. Now go back to Bal's Cave Area and head West, then jump all the way North until you find a passage to heading East. Notice that in the next area you'll be above the Standing Gear and cross the bridge. Follow the long corridor and head West on the next area to deactivate the second sensor. Now go back all the way to Bal and talk to him. He'll open the sand barrier and after a scene you can continue your way. Just follow the only path (get on the gondola to activate the elevator) until Calamity shows up.

Calamity may give you some trouble if you didn't upgrade (He can take over 400 damage), so activate booster and use Skills like Reppu (Triangle, Square) and Beat Serpent (Triangle, Square). It may take a while, but eventually he'll fall. Exit the area a scene in the desert and the reunion with Citan, you'll be moving around the Yggdrasil.

Yggdrasil

Items found: None

Your characters will look very small in the gear hangar, but move faster. To the North is a Gear Shop (Upgrade first, worry about accessories later, they're too expensive for now) and a bit more to the North lies a small door leading the main hallway (If you want to skip ahead and not visit the Yggdrasil, jump this paragraph.). The first door to your East leads to Marge's room (You'll know who she is later); the first and second door to the West lead to the dormitory (Talk to a man there to sleep if you want); the second door to your East is the nursery; the door to your North leads to the Gunnery Room where Maison will sell you character items. If you go down the stairs you'll go past 2 vacant rooms and reach the Engine room.

Now go back to main hallway and to the third door to your West (there's man looking at a plant besides the door) to get on the elevator (You cant go down yet). Ignore the stairs and go talk to Bart and Sigurd on the navigation room. After some scenes, you'll be at the residential area of the hideout. Leave following Citan and Maison for later and go check the area. The door to your North leads to another dormitory where you can also save; the door to your East leads to the planning room; The door to your South with a warning leads to Bart's room, where you can get an Iron Whip (Ignore the warning :P); lastly, to your west there is an exit and the door Maison opened. Go after Maison to the dining hall and after some conversation follow them to the planning room (You can stop and shop at the dining hall, but there's nothing you haven't bought yet on the Yggdrasil). After another scene, go back to the Yggdrasil (you'll have to wait for the platform's return) and Fei will talk a bit more with Bart. Now instead of going inside the Yggdrasil, go to the other platform, use another platform to go down and talk to the mechanic about Weltall. After this there'll be another scene (Will they ever stop?) and you can go sleep at the residential area (If you want to level up a bit first, go outside the hideout and have fun. Remember there are many giant enemies outside though).

When you wake up, the base is under attack. After some scenes, you'll have to, go down and fight the Gebler units. None of them should be too hard. Just use your best attacks against Schpariel (Bart and Citan will join you on this battle). After your victory, make sure you upgrade Heimdal. When you're ready, go talk to Sigurd to start the operation to Rescue Margie.

Rescue Margie

Items found on Bledavik: Hide & Seek Badge

Items found during the Tournament: Survival Tent, Metal Vest, Samson's Hair, Wedding Dress

Items found on the Waterway: Aquasol, Gold Nugget, Rosesol S, Survival Tent

Items found on Fatima Castle: Aquasol S, Cobra Cracka, 2 Hob Jerkies, Hob Meat, 4 Iron Mails, Rosesol S

You'll watch Ramsus introduction, then you can move around Bledavik. A lady near the entrance will point you a good hotel, but dont go there yet. Visit the market and weapon/armor shops buying anything you need. When visiting the market, one of the ladies will be stolen by a kid; Go after the kid (into a small passage) and give him 1000G so he promises not to steal again. On the same alley, challenge the other kid to a hide-and-seek game (Refer to the Secrets section for more information). Now go to the hotel and tell the owner you don't know the name of the lady to get a discount. Go talk to the nun and after some conversation you'll have to go back and look for a way to get inside Fatima Castle, so go North to visit the Shakhan Square.

You can do some mini-games and funny stuff on the Shakhan Square if you want, then head North until Bart leaves your party. Visit the tournament area and sign up for it. Now go back all the way to the market and check the Eastern border where there is a grate. A kid there will mention the hide-and-seek boy once got lost inside the well. Now go talk to the hide-and-seek boy, then go back to talk with the old man near the grate and choose the second or third option to get the Well Key. Now go talk to the nun at the hotel and get some rest when you're ready (Notice this is your chance to go check one of the tents at Shakhan Square that you couldn't before and watch a small scene about a Lahan villager called Molten), then the plan will start.

Head to the Tournament area and you'll meet some familiar faces. Bart should go South of the Hotel and go inside the waterway (This route is faster). Your first enemy on the tournament will be Gonzalez. Try to drag on the battle as much as you can to give Bart time. Gonzalez is slow, but has a powerful attack ("Can't take it anymore!"), so heal when necessary. After you win, a menu screen will show up for you to heal Fei. After you exit the menu screen after each battle, it will be Bart's turn to move and after some time, Fei's turn (This paragraph will list all of Fei's battles, so move to the next paragraph if you want to know what to do with Bart). The next battle is against Big Joe and he's quite except for the help he gets from his fans :P. Build up a combo and make sure you equip the Metal Vest after the battle. Next up is Scud, and this is another easy battle to drag on, since Scud uses lots of defensive "pills". The next enemy is Dan (!) and he's quite a lot more challenging. Don't let your HP drop too much because of his "You scum" big ether attack (Where did he learn that?). Also, if you refuse to fight and only defend yourself, Dan will give up and throw you Alice's Wedding Dress. The last battle is against Wiseman. Don't even bother, you can't win (or lose) this battle, so just keep wasting turns until it's over.

Bart will have to swim against the current here. Swim NorthEast, and again to the NorthEast when you reach a junction, then climb the pipe and move around the Aquarium to get the Gold Nugget. Now go back and swim NorthEast, then North. On the next junction, go SouthEast to get a Rosesol S, then go back to the junction and go North this time. On the next junction, take the rather long path NorthEast to get a Survival Tent, or go NorthWest, then South on another junction to get an Aquasol S. Now go back and head North, Northeast and North to reach Fatima Castle. After talking with the old man, save your game and climb the ladder to the castle. Inside the castle, you'll have to dodge the guards by staying outside of their vision (Don't worry too much, though. They're quite easy in battle). You'll end up in the middle of a garden, so you should run South to a big door before the guards can reach you (And get used to peek if you don't want to fight). Notice there are 3 doors at the East Corridor and 3 at the West Corridor. On the West doors you can get Hob-jerkies and a Hob-meat by jumping near the North wall in the kitchen. SouthEast door has a Cobra Cracka on it and the SouthWest one has 4 Iron Mails (There's nothing much on the middle one). Now go back to the South Door and go up the stairs, then take the North Door. There'll be another set of corridors with 3 doors each. Get a Rosesol S on the NorthWest door. Check the NorthEast door to hear some conversation between the guards and run to the other side to get an Aquasol S (It's difficult, but possible to escape them). Now go to the last on either door (You'll end up in the same place) and climb the stairs. Now go to East door thenhead to the door all the way to the North (You might recognize the area). Talk to Margie and save your game. After some scenes, Bart will fight Ramsus.

Ramsus isn't really difficult, just don't attack when he is in the Mirror Stance. Fei will join the second round but Ramsus will be tougher and Miang will heal more often. Just don't attack Ramsus during the Mirror Stance (You can use Ether, but Miang will probably heal him) and the battle should be over. After a dandy escape and some other scenes, Margie will be safe and you can bring her back to Nisan.

Nisan and Attack Aveh

Items found at the Kislev Border: Extra Ar +2, Gold Nugget, Magnetic Coat, Rosesol S

Items found at the Kislev Border Desert: Extra Ar +3, Gold Nugget

Reaching Nisan shouldn't be too hard. Near Bart's Hideout, head North until you find a lonely tree on the desert and click on it to submerge the Yggdrasil. After some scenes you'll be automatically inside town.

Visit the town if you want (There's nothing new to buy except for some nifty acessories; if you can buy an Ether Doubler, by all means, do it!), take a peek at the meeting hall for a scene, then head to the Monastery. The Nisan visit is pretty much for story development...Just follow Margie around, check the painting, then talk to Agnes for more historical details. Go back to the entrance of town and talk to Sig inside the lodge. You can (and should) ask questions about the whole situation and after you're done asking, go talk to Bart on the nearby bridge for another scene, then go to the town hall. After lots of planning, talk to Bart the day when you're ready. After more scenes (Do they ever end?), you'll be controlling Citan, so go talk to Maison, then climb the stairs near to bridge to go outside and watch MORE scenes (Last ones...for now).

You can finally move around with Weltall. Head East, jump the ledges and go back West a bit to get an Extra Ar +2. Now go back and head NorthEast, following the other pirate gears doing a big jump to another ledge, then stop following then and go South/SouthEast to get a MagneticCoat at the other tip of the ledge. Now go back North following the pirate gears heading NorthEast. On the next area, head SouthWest and jump to the Eastern ledges when you spot them (You can also circle around West but it's a longer path) and don't forget to get a Rosesol S to your NorthEast. Continue NorthWest and jump to the ledge yo your SouthWest to get a Gold Nugget. Now keep climbing North until you find a Repair Bot. Take your time repairing and saving, then go North, then East to fight the Gebler units.

The Gebler units are EXACTLY the same from the last battle, so they shouldn't be too hard. The problem is the battle after them, against Vierge. Use Booster and your best attacks and you should defeat her before she uses too many Aerods. After you win there's a scene between Fei and Elly and after that you should refuel, then continue the area, following the obrigatory way until you reach a bright spot. You'll watch another scene with Bart, then we're back on track with Fei.

After some scenes, you'll have to complete a small mini-game. Just keep heading up avoiding enemies and mines (Although they'll barely damage you, unless you stay put for too long). After 2 areas, you'll have to destroy the Kefeinzel gun. If you want to avoid being shot by it, use booster and leave the small guns for later. After some other scenes, you'll have to fight Dora.

The Dora is a bit tricky to defeat. Attack with Weltall only until the Head Cover breaks. Then you can attack with the other gears. Also, using Booster in this battle might save your skin, since Dora can take some decent damage and has high HP. After that, there'll be lots of scenes with Fei, Bart (No, you CAN'T win) and after all those scenes, Fei will wake up in the Kislev capital, also known as Nortune.

Nortune - Battling and the Sewer Monster

Items found at the D Block: Dogfood

Items found at the Sewers B1: Aquasol, Kislev Map, Physisol

Items found at the Sewers B2: Bell Amulet, Cool Shades, Ether Veiler, Gallant Belt, Gold Nugget, Knight Helm, Mentsol, Poison Guard, Sewer Keys, Zetasol DX

You wake up at the D Block prison are in Nortune and before you think of doing you must fight some bosses to earn a "rank". You can lose these battles, but you'll be of a lower rank (There'll be a couple of different speeches and you won't get the same dishes but only bad thing is that the prices for selling monster parts will be lower). Leonardo, Heinrich and Vargas are just improved versions, respectively and they're all relatively easy. Suzarn is a bit tougher because she can take all your EP at once and constantly half your HP. Use curative items like Aquasols and attack her when you can. You can't win the last battle against Rico (Hell, even if you're at the ending of the game you probably wouldn't withstand that much damage), but don't worry, you'll get the best rank (for now) by defeating Suzarn.

After getting your rank you can move around. You can buy some dog food from the man near the dog (if the dog barks first), eat some special dishes, hunt monster parts in the sewers and sell them at an Ethos facility and just visit town. Visit Latina's bar and talk to the Hammer (The beast-like guy with a hat) and after he introduces himself, you can buy some items and weapons from him. After that, head NorthEast and a guard will stop you. Go back to the bar, watch a scene, then back to your dorm. After a scene with Citan you can try to remove the collar (Don't worry). I've heard tons of rumors that if you rest first (I coudln't rest, Citan asked me to finish the discussion first) and try later, Citan would remove a small part of it and sell it to Hammer for 5000 G. Unfortunately, it never worked for me. Anyway, after some more talking, Fei decides to become a battler. Head to the NorthEast exit and on Nortune Map, go to the C Block. After some talking you'll have to fight (Take your chance to check the tutorials before doing it). It doesn't matter if you win or not the first battle. On the next day, talk to Citan and Hammer, then go back to battling (You can also buy new gear parts from Hammer!). Battling shouldn't be too hard, check the game tutorial or the basics section if you need. You'll have to fight 2 battles, then go sleep, then fight more 2 battles and sleep. On the next morning, Rico will show up and you'll join him to investigate the sewers. Climb the ladder outside and go down another ladder on the roof near a battler to get inside.

Right after climbing down, cross the bridge to the North, then another bridge to the East, then a bit to the North to find a murder spot. Now go South, then East to get an Aquasol S. Go back to the entrance, then head West (jump the water from the ducts or you'll receive damage.), then South (don't cross the bridge), then SouthEast to get a Physisol. Now go back to the bridge you just ignored to the West and cross it, then head South to find another Murder Spot. Now head North, NorthWest, cross the bridge to the North, then head West to get the Kislev Map (Refer to the Maps Section for a detailed map). Go back and cross the bridge you just crossed, then head West and reach the ladder leading to the second sewers floor.

Go South, moving around to the East until you get the Cool Shades. Cross the bridge SouthEast, head SouthWest, then West to the murder spot. Now go back to the bridge you crossed and head NorthEast jumping over the 'No Entry' sign and climbing the ladder. Head East, then South if you want to save the game. Back to the ladder, go NorthWest/North to find another murder spot. Continue NorthWest opening the door, and continue to the West, then South to get a Knight Helm. Go back to the door, then back to the ladder and go back down. Go back all the way to the ladder leading to the first sewers floor, but cross the bridge near it to the West. Head North, West and South alongside the wall and cross the last bridge to the West where you can save again. Head North alongside the wall until you find the rat-sweeper machine (Catless Rats Remover! :P). Examine it to get the Sewer Keys. Now go back to the Memory Cube, the cross the bridge to the East, then cross the next bridge to the NorthEast (the one you skipped before). Turn West and circle around to get a Poison Guard, the back East and further East until you reach a door to the SouthEast. Follow the obrigatory way to the East (skip the bridge to the South), cross the bridge to the East, turn North, then West to get a Gallant Belt. Head back South but instead crossing back the bridge, continue South until you meet Gramps (You can ask him for information about the sewers). Head all the way NorthEast to find another murder spot and a Gold Nugget. Go back to Gramps, cross the bridge South, the head West and South to get a Zetasol DX. Go back to the bridge, continue East, cross the bridge to the NorthEast, then turn SouthEast/South to get a Mentsol. Go back North and follow North alongside the wall until you reach a door to your side. Get the Bell Amulet, then jump on the pipes to reach an Ether Veiler. Now make sure you're prepared before you go after the monster (you have to reach a slimy with no murder spot near to find him). When you're ready, head West/South (from the Sewage Treatment Room), cross the bridge to the SouthWest, then another to the North, then continue North until you reach a slimy pipe. Examine it and Redrum will appear.

This can be a serious treat no matter how high-leveled you are, because Redrum uses a skill called 'Murder', instantly killing one of your characters. Try to build up your AP bar (using Iron Valor/Steel Fist helps) and kill him FAST. Leveling up won't help much if he insists on using "Murder", so you'd better have some Zetasols in stock. After you win, there's a scene and you're back to the D Block. Go talk to Rico at the inn, and after another scene you can continue your way battling (At the battling arena, silly :P).

Battling the Champ and Escaping Nortune

Items found at the Nortune Central District: Insulated Ar, Knight Mail, Momento Chain, Power Magic

Items found at the Nortune Gear Dock: 100 G, Beam Coat, Evasion Ring, Frame HP30, Master Key, MiniGear, Survival Tent

You'll have to fight 3 more Battlers: Hatamoto, Firewheel and Silver Star. Those are a bit harder than the previous battlers, but don't worry; keep pummeling without giving them a chance to react until you beat them. After that, save the game and go talk to Citan. After a scene, you'll have to fight Wiseman. You can win this battle, although it isn't necessary to do it; just use your best deathblows. After some scenes, you'll be at the inn. Go to the Battling Arena to fight the Champ!

This battle is a bit different than the others; it has 5 rounds, and you can lose (You'll just have to try again). Try using Ether bullets against Stier since he's really strong at short-range attack. After your victory and a scene at Aveh, you can use Rico's room, sell monster parts for better prices, visit other areas of Nortune or even leave the city (but you're not escaping...yet). Go check the Central District first. Talk to the soldiers at the entrance and they'll let you pass. Enter the East door, head down the stairs, enter the South door, then the West door ignoring the chickens :P. Jump into a box next to the shelf and jump pressing the Cross button to get an Insulated Ar. Now activate the crane next to the shelf. Move it from the right to the left to hit the side of the crates at the end of the room, then jump at the hook to reach the Power Magic. Now go back all the way and enter the elevator. Take the stairs to the West and talk with the Kaiser. After some scenes, check the drawer (in front of the mirror) to get the Momento Locket (An acessory for Rico only), then leave the room to watch another scene, then go back to the Kaiser's room to get a Knight Mail. Leave the District and head for the A Block. After some talking with Hammer, exit the top floor by jumping at the chimney (...don't ask :P) to have a conversation with the ex-doctor from the D Block. Before you leave, she'll tell the order to knock at her door (unless you want to drop down the chimney again...). After you leave, check one of those alleys to find Big Joe. This isn't necessary for the game, but if you pay him 5000G, you'll find an M Disk on the same alley later. The item and accessory shop have nothing new compared to Hammer, buy only if you need to restock. Now go back to the D Block and watch another scene. When you're ready, take a nap on the Champ's bed.

Climb the ladder to the roof, jump the 2 boxes, then climb to the observation tower. Jump quickly twice to reach the front car. You'll be on the Gear Docks (being more exactly, near it). Check the South door to watch a scene, then climb up the crates and enter the duct. Head South, and if you head West and look at the grate you'll see Weltall. Continue South, East, South, East, then North to reach a door. Jump to the door to your West (You'll have climb over if you fall). You should head West, then South to exit the area, but you can peek at some optional grates (They'll be listed always from the first junction of this area). Heading all the way the North (and a bit to the East) shows some guards talking. Heading North, then East shows more guards talking. Heading all the way to the West shows the Gear Dock again. After you're done. head West, then South. After watching a scene, get the Master Key at the shelf and a Frame HP30 (Equip it NOW. :P). Head East through the next door, continue East, then North. Check the left side of the machine on the North Wall to get 100 G, then continue North. Head West, the open the South door with the Master key. There's a small box to the South which contains a Beam Coat. Now go back North to the hallway, head North, then West to the next door. Circle around and get the Minigear near the books and some guards will attack you. One of them will drop an Evasion Ring (and probably some other items, as usual), so defeat them and head North. You'll be back at the beginning but now you can open the East door (and I'd recommend you to save). Head East, then West and get the Survival Tent on your way down the stairs. Continue until you reach the gear dock itself (finally). Before getting Weltall, move near SouthEast, talk to the gear that's different from all others and upgrade Weltall (Also, equipping the Beam Coat will help a lot against the next bosses). Touch the switch near the elevator to switch gears until you can board Weltall. Pick up the other elevator and after some scenes, you'll have to fight a Rankar R at the Arena.

This is a very easy boss, just pound him until he's down. There'll be more scenes and you'll be at the ether-controlled ship, fighting the Gebler Units (As usual they're relatively easy and only serve to damage you before the real boss battle). Weltall will fight Aegisknight R, Swordknight R and Clawknight R. Stier will then join against the Wandknights R (Group on each of them individually). After a long scene with Elly, you'll fight Dominia controlling the hetch. Use booster and ignore the Super Aerod until you beat the Hetch. After a long scene you'll be at the A Block so that you can plan to infiltrate the Goliath Factory.

Goliath Factory

Items found at the Nortune A Block: M Disk

Items found at the Goliath Factory: Extra Ar +3, Gold Nugget, Mica, O2 Cylinder

After some planning, you can leave the doctor's house. When you try to exit town, you'll watch another scene and Rico will join the party. Don't forget to go back to the alley where you met Big Joe to get an M Disk (You can use it at the Wildcat bar). Also, you can change party members talking to the lady at the Wildcat bar. Now leave Nortune (You might want to buy some equipment for Elly), head NorthEast along the riverside, circle around the small forest turning NorthWest, then continue on that direction until you find the Factory at the NorthWest border of the mountain. Inside the factory, follow the North path at the crossroad until you find Hammer riding a gear (You can upgrade your gears with him). Continue your way and you'll have to fight enemy gears.

Head Straight and you'll fight 3 Harkebus Mk10, 3 Neo Musha Mk100, 2 Harkebus Mk10. At the next area, keep going until you find an intersection. Go South to save your game, then continue West until you find another intersection. Head East to get an O2 Cylinder, then head West for the next area. Continue through the hall fighting 2 Harkebus Mk10, 2 Hatamoto Mk3 and 4 Mechanics, then activate any elevator at the end of the hall to reach another area. Get off your Gears and head below the conveyor belt to get an Extra Ar +3, turn the switch at the East Wall, then head back to conveyor belt and let it take you to another room. Press the blue switch at the side of the conveyor belt heading down (The other one near the ducts will only make more enemies show up) to make it go up. Jump on it and watch out for falling down on the next area. Save your game, then press the switch near the ducts and 2 chests will fall (Lucky!). Get the Gold Nugget and the Mica, press the switch near the Memory Cube, then jump on the conveyor belt to the East. Keep moving until Fis-6 shows up.

If you're lucky enough, you might be abel to crush him before he overheats. At any rate, don't waste too much fuel if he shifts up too much; you'll barely do any damage. Kill the mechanics that comes to heal him, and after you defeat him you'll be inside the Goliath (Save your game!). After some scenes, you'll fight Grahf (Don't worry, you can't really 'win' this battle) and watch more scenes. After a scene between Fei and Elly you'll have to open the trap door. Then you'll switch to Citan and Rico, so go talk to Bart. You'll switch again to Fei and Elly, then back to the Yggdrasil controlling Bart this time. Go to the Gear Hangar and talk to Rico standing near Stier. Then go to the Gear Shop and talk to Citan to watch more scenes. After that, Fei and Elly will be rescued by the Thames.

Thames

Items found at the Armor Ground: Deathblower 1

Items found at the Beer Hall: Mentsol, Premier Shoes

Items found at the Supply Entrance: D Circuit, Lunar Rod, Mica, Serpent GWhip, Super Googles

After talking with the penguin guy, you can move around the Thames. You can buy new equipment and some items at this same area (named Armor Ground) where you started. You can check a weird motor/van nd talk to Queenie (You can't challenge her yet). Leave this area and you'll be at the Thames main 'map'. Move to the Green Icon that says 'Screw Elevator' and go inside. Besides torturing a drunk guy, you can go to the following floors: B2, where the Dock is; B1, to the Supply Entrance; 1F, to the Deck; 2F, to the Sick Bay, where you can sleep; 3F, the Beer Hall; 4F, the bridge. Choose B1 first to visit the Supply Entrance. At the NorthEast Corner, there's a Gear Shop with lots of upgrades (Be sure to upgrade as much as you can). At the NorthWest corner of the area, a kid asks if you want to show it and if it is for real. Say Yes twice and you'll play a card game against him (More details on the Secrets section). Beat him and you'll get a Super Goggles. Jump on the crate near the kid, then jump over the grate to the East to get a Serpent GWhip. Now enter a door near the SouthEast corner (Before going down the stairs). Fall down moving West to get a D Circuit. Now climb the stairs at the SouthWest corner, then cross the bridge heading North. Head East without falling from the crates or bridges until you see 2 'steps' hanging from the ceiling. Time your jump to get a Lunar Rod. Now head to a drunken guy at the West corner but don't talk to him. Jump on him and stay still, waiting for a moving step with a chest to pass near you. Hit it with your head to make the chest fall and get a Mica. Now go back to the Screw Elevator and choose 3F. At the Beer Hall, climb the ladder and the pipe behind the machine to reach the kid and he'll give you a Mentsol. Challenge the man at SouthEast corner for a card game and get a Premier Shoes for a victory (You can now go back and challenge Queenie for a Deathblower 1, but I'd recommend wait for Citan first). Now go to the bridge (4F) and talk to the Captain. Go to the Beer Hall and talk to him again, watch some scenes and talk to the Captain again on the bridge. After that, go to the Deck and touch the gears with the Cross button. You'll have to fight Dominia (in her new gear).

Haishao can take some decent damage with Nereid Cyclone if you didn't upgrade Brigandier or Vierge, but it has low HP and should go down easily. After some scenes the Yggdrasil will stop at the Thames (Notice that the Yggdrsil now has the same upgrades from the Thames and you just got some cash, so upgrade if necessary), so you should head to the Screw Elevator and watch some scenes, and you'll be back at the Yggdrasil. Climb the ladder to exit the Yggdrasil, but go South to meet Big Joe and a lady. Challenge him to a card game by saying 'yes' and you'll get a LongDarkCoat. Now head to the Beer Hall to watch more scenes, then go back to the Yggdrasil and talk to Sigurd. You can revisit the submarine if you want, but you should talk to the lady at the infirmary, then check the engine room (Down the stairs and through the corridor at the room where Maison is) to watch another scene. Talk to Citan twice, then talk to Elly at the infirmary (This is your last chance to change equipment, so you'd better do it). After some scenes you'll have to fight Dominia (again) piloting the Bladegash. She has a decent evade rate but keep attacking her and use Frame HPs if necessary. After this battle, you'll have to fight Ramsus (piloting Haishao) and Miang.

Use Booster and start attacking Ramsus. Watch out for his mirror attack, and notice Haishao is weak against Ether Attacks, so cast Anemo Burn or Thermo Dragon at him and he should be down easily. After some scenes you'll be at the Thames Sick Bay. Go down to the Deck, then head to the Armor Ground to meet a certain Etone from the Ethos.

Wels Hunting

Items found at the Orphanage: Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, Tag Badge, B&J M686 Gun

Items found at the Wels Ship: B&J M10S Ammo, Cabin Key, Penguin Coat, Shot G60 Ammo, Silver Beret, Survival Tent

After watching a scene at the Armor Ground, you'll be introduced to Billy. After some talking, you'll have to meet him again at the Ethos HQ. Head to the dock and board the Yggdrasil II (Note: You can revisit a lot of places and visit some new too, but you won't be able do much right now except for the orphanage, which I'll cover later on). Also, you can change party members from now on if you talk to Margie. The controls are basically the same, except that you can cruise over sand and water. Head to the yellow dot directly to your North (Look at the world map) to reach the Ethos HQ. You'll meet Billy and you should follow him (Don't worry about visiting the HQ for now) until you reach the infirmary room where Fei is. After some talking, you have to visit the HQ. Check all rooms, and keep hanging around the first floor until Elly shows up, then you can go see Fei and take him to the Yggdrasil. Talk to Sigurd and he'll say the orphanage is to the SouthEast of the Ethos HQ (It's another yellow dot to the SouthEast, but not the nearest one). Head there to find Billy.

Before going inside the house, talk to the kid near the fence and help him catch the chickens. Just press Cross near the chicken, then move to the fence direction (repeat this process a few times) and after getting all of them inside the fence, you'll get a Tag Badge. Now go inside and talk to Billy to watch a scene. After that, climb the ladder at the same room and agree with the kid to get a Book 1. Now continue to the other room and enter the first room to the East. Have Rico in your party talk to kid on the bed. Rico will give him the bell amulet and get the Book 3. Now try opening the next door to the East (You may have to re-enter the room a couple of times). A kid will come out of the toilet and give you the Book 2. Now head North and check the bookshelf to watch a scene (You can't check the room for now). Go back to the Yggdrasil and talk to Sigurd at the room where Maison usually is selling items to watch more scenes, then head to the Gun Room again to meet Billy (He'll explain how his guns work...basically, it's almost the same thing, except that you have a limited ammo). After some talking, you must choose a team and head outside through the ladder near the bridge.

The corridor will be dark, so head to the middle of the corridor and rotate the camera until you find a red dot. Touch it to turn on the lights. Before exiting this room, rotate the camera to find a Penguin Coat hidden behind some boxes. You can only access the door to the North (There's only a Memory Cube) or the ladder. Save if you want, then climb the ladder, heading North to another ladder down. Get the B&J M10S Ammo to your West and head South dodging the hanging bags (Or whatever those things are) to get a Survival Tent, then press the East switch to open the B lock. Head back North through the door to reach a corridor. On the first door to the East, there's a Cabin Key; Check the first room to the West for a silly joke; The second room to the West has a Silver Beret; Lastly, the third room to the West has a Shot G60 Ammo. Now take some distance from the North door and run into it 5 times. Ignore the doors and go up the ladder, then head North to save at the Memory Cube. Jump inside the small tube/hatch to your South and you'll have to fight Bloody. He's a weaker version of Redrum, the only thing you have worry about is the 'Murder' Skill (Having Billy helps a lot this time). After this, head South to watch some scenes and you'll fight Giant Wels. You should either use Any Ether (Yeah, even Brigandier's Wild Smile) to lower his defense (Watch out since it will raise his attack, though) or use Renmazuo's Square Attacks. Try to balance the regular attacks and ether attacks to defeat him. After some scenes, you can now upgrade Renmazuo (and equip the gun you got by defeating the Giant Wels). Go back to the orphanage with Billy to open the bookcase you tried to enter earlier to get a B&J M686 Gun. Now you can go back to the Ethos HQ.

Ethos under attack & Zeboim

Items found at the Ethos HQ: Aquasol DX, Gold Nugget, Seal Ar

Items found at Zeboim: B&J M686A Ammo, Black Snake, Panalphasol, Sleep Guard

You'll notice something is wrong when you're back; Cross the door to the North, then the door to the West and you'll watch a scene and fight some assassins. Kill the clawed ones before they use any 'Death, death, death!' attacks and watch out for the Net attack, which can be annoying. Head West, ignoring the first 2 doors of the hallway, then enter the door heading North and climb the stairs. You'll fight more assassins, then cross the bridge, then fight more assassins twice. You'll find only a couple of non-Etones survivors at the last room. Now go back all the way the main corridor, the head West to the last North door to fight more assassins. Leave the room, head to the last room to the West and enter the new passage. After going down the stairs, ignore the door to the South and the 2 door to the North, entering the last door to the North. Climb the stairs and get a Gold Nugget at the room, the open the door to the South to get an Aquasol DX and a Seal Ar. Now go back and enter the door to the East to fight more assassins. Continue through the next East door (ignore the South path), turn North, then East and check 2 last doors to your North to save a Shevat Agent and Big Joe (Just talk to them). Go back South to the corridor and continue East through a door, then North heading down the Elevator continuing North. Enter the door to the East to watch lots of conversation. Exit the room to watch more scenes, then fight more assassins. Go after Jessie to watch more scenes.

You'll have to form a party (Citan must be in it) to help the Thames. Head to the Thames and talk to the Captain. After explaining the situation, you'll have to go after Stein at the Ethos Dig Site (An island to the North of the Thames). Head inside, take the platform down and cross the door to the West. If you want to fight the Gebler Guard, touch him (Although you won't have an option later), then enter the elevator to the North (You'll watch a scene), exiting to the South. Enter the door to the East (It's the only door you can open here) to reach Zeboim (Each character will have a distinct reaction visiting Zeboim; bringing particularly Elly will result into some interesting lines plot-wise). Cross the bridge, climb the stairs East, then West and open the door. Follow the corridor to the North (Save if you want), open the East door, then head straight East to the last door to your South (You'll fight Gebler Guards on the way). Exit the elevator and proceed North through another corridor, then get the chest to your West. Head East, fight some Gebler Guards and cross another corridor. Head South, circling the room (You'll fight Gebler Guards twice) to the last door to the West and get a Sleep Guard. Now go back and head South (First door right after you exit this room), then down the stairs heading North. Go through another red corridor North, turn West, then North again, crossing another red corridor. At this point someone will comment about the maze-like structure of this place. Continue NorthEast and enter the first door to the NorthWest to get a Black Snake. Head back and continue fighting 2 Gebler Guards, then open the door to the East. Get the Panalphasol, save your game, then go back to the door near you to the North. Go down the stairs and exexute the manual scan, then go back to the room where you found the Black Snake and use the computer to reset the emergency level. Go back to the locked door heading South. Activate the computer at the SouthWest (Skip this if Elly's with you). Open the next door to the South and some scenes will start. Check the reactor and after some talking, you'll fight Tolone and Seraphita.

Defeat Seraphita first since her attacks are stronger and she can steal your EP (You'll need it later). Either build your AP bar or use Elly's Ether (Water on Seraphita, Earth on Tolone). Heal yourselves and save after the fight and start leaving Zeboim. You'll watch more scenes and fight Id (The guy with the Gear that crushed Bart). This guy can take over 200 HP to one person in one attack! Have at least one person healing and unleash your best combos on him. After another scene, exit the Site to watch another scene aboard the Yggdrasil. Save your game and talk to Sig. He'll say Fei isn't at the infirmary, so head for the gear hangar where Weltall is to meet him. After some talking, you'll form a party lead by Billy, but without Citan or Fei, to fight Stein.

This battle is rather annoying, since you can't hit him during the first turns and he has lots of HP. After Billy's father helps, attack him with your best deathblows and watch out for fuel and HP until the end (He takes some damage of the party before he dies). After beating him, you'll watch some scenes and Fei will be back on the party. You can now check the Gear Shop for upgrades (They might be too pricy for now, but try to buy parts strong against Ether attacks). You won't be back on the main map for a while, so get ready to climb the Babel Tower.

Climbing the Babel Tower

Items found at the Babel Tower: Beam Jammer, E Circuit, EarthVeil Ar, 2 Ether Ars, FireVeil Ar, Flare RodG, G-GG060 Ammo, G-M10S Ammo, Gold Bullion, 3 Gold Nuggets, Ground, Ice RodG, Lite Ar +1, O2 Cylinder, Old Circuit, Stone RodG, Thunder RodG, Veil Doubler, WaterVeil Ar, WindVeil Ar

Enter the tower, then head SouthEast, then East jumping to the SouthWest to get an Ether Ar. Continue jumping the platforms to the South, South and West, head West, then North to get a Lite Ar +1. Go back South, then East and drop to a small platform to the North to get an EarthVeil Ar (Rotate the camera to see it). Continue West, then jump to the SouthEast back to the upper platform. Jump to the platform East, then South. At the tip of the platform, jump to catch the rope and hold the directional button to either right or left. After you have swinged as much as you can, jump to the SouthEast platform. Continue jumping to the SouthEast, then turn NorthWest jumping to the SouthWest before the platform bends, making you fall. You have to make sure you jump as far as you can to reach the upper platform and get a Thunder RodG. Drop down to a small platform to the East, enter the corridor to the West, then head North and grab a rope to reach another area. Save in the memory cube, then head West and you'll automatically leave the gears. Enter the small room, get the Gold Nugget, check the map to the North and jump over the computer to the East and check the other computer. After a scene, jump to exit the room, re-enter the Gears, drop to the West, then jump to the North to enter a lift. Climb the crates and get the Beam Jammer and Ether Ar before getting outside the Gears. Climb the small ladder to the North with the regular characters and head to the middle entrance to the East. Get the Gold Nugget and the Old Circuit and check one of the computers to the SouthEast. After a scene, you'll fight Ramsus and Miang (again).

One of the easiest battles against Ramsus, don't even bother with booster, just attack him with your best combos. After this, save the game, then take the SouthEast door. Continue East, then South and jump over the pit until you reach a locked door. Go back to the pit you just jumped over and drop down to get a Ground, then enter a small door to the North with regular characters. Head North and jump to get an O2 Cylinder, then drop to get an E Circuit and a Gold Nugget. Check all computers to watch a scene and release a lock, then jump back and return to your Gears. Open the door to the South you couldn't open before. Continue South, then drop down again and head North to get a Veil Doubler and a WindVeil Ar, then head South twice. Get the Ice RodG and the FireVeil Ar at a pipe room, then continue South. At this new area, head West and talk to the Gear to refuel. Head South (Through the lower area), then East to get a Stone RodG. Now go back North, then head South through the upper area until you find a green platform (It looks like a Traffic Jam) and jump on it. After a battle, you will go up, so jump East before it goes down again. Head North and jump to a lower block, then jump NorthWest to get a G-M10S Ammo. Jump South at another green platform, defeat the Traffic Jam and jump either North or East when you reach the peak. Head South and when you cross a broken pedestal (or whatever that is), look behind it to get a Gold Bullion. Jump North (or West) at the next green platform, then jump South (You'll reach another area). Head North and you'll find at GG-060 Ammo behind the weird looking object again. Jump North, then jump East and drop down to the NorthEast to get a Flare RodG. From there, drop West and jump South at another green platform. Jump to the East, then to the South to get a WaterVeil Ar. Jump East once, then take a good look at the SouthWest corner. You're gonna have to drop down at the green platform you barely see! Try centering your jump. Jump South a few times, then turn to West and climb up. Save your game and head to the center to watch a scene.

Use Ether Attacks and Deathblows. Seibzehn has no special attacks, so it'll go down easily. After some scenes (and an explanation as to why Calamity and Seibzhen are similar), you'll be inside Shevat.

Shevat: Visting during the initial attack

Items found at Shevat: A-Charger, Aquasol, Aquasol DX, 2 Aquasols S, Chu-Chu Idol, Dark Rock, Dawn Rock, Dusk Rock, EP Drive, ETH Drive, ETHDEF Drive, Hard Star, Hob-steak, HP Drive, Panalphasol, Physimentsol, Power Crisis, Power Ring S, Samson's Hair, Speed Star, STR Drive, VIT Drive, Yamato Belt

Items found at the Shevat Corridors: Aquasol DX, Battle Apron, Economether, Queen's Rod, Rosesol DX, Ruby Helmet, Shevat Map, Whip-Lasher

Go after Maria if you want to watch a scene about her story, then go back to the entrance and take the central elevator. You'll be at Shevat's map. Before doing anything, head SouthWest and check the border to get a Dawn Rock, then enter the city of Aphel Aura. Talk to the old man for some information about the city, then head North. You can optionally climb the floating stones (You can visit a bar and check a jukebox along the way) to the top and talk to a woman. When you're done, drop down and circle around the stairs and enter the first door you find to the NorthEast. At this Chu-Chu house you can buy new items and equipment. If you brought the 3 badges the Green Chu-Chu at the middle of the room will trade them for random goodies. Tell one of the Chu-Chu's not everyone's honest on the land to get 2 Aquasols S and an Aquasol DX. Lastly, don't forget to talk to the Chu-Chu at the lamp (You need to do this to get the Dark Rock). Take the Steppin Stone at the lower floor, then the West door. Tell the old man you like fishing, buy Spider Web if you don't have it, then go back to the fountain. Jump at the top of it and start fishing. Just keep reeling until you get the Dark Rock (It may take a few tries). Exit the Chu-Chu's house and continue circling East, then open the door to the North at another building. Talk to the citizens, then use the Stepping Stone to find a Gear Shop (Things are rather expensive for now, though). After shopping, exit the house and take the Stepping Stone down, then head South. Check the doll to find a Dusk Rock, then go up the stairs, head East, then check the toyhorse to watch a scene. Now go back all the way to the entrance you came from (or re-enter the area) and use the Stepping Stone nearby. Save your game, then enter take either the SouthEast or NorthWest door if you want to visit the local citizens, then go back and head downstairs, opening a door to the West. Talk to the old woman, then check the Stepping Stone. If you brought the 3 rocks, you'll taken to a room filled with lots of goodies. After you're done, exit town and head to the Palace.

Before following Maria, you should take a look at the palace. The place is filled with interesting information. You'll meet Wiseman, Yui and Midori (If you brought Citan, there'll be some extra dialogue) around the palace. Also, Bart will have a small dialogue if you check the library. After you're done checking the whole place (no extra goodies, unfortunately :P), go talk to Queen Zephyr. Rest at the room as she says, and tell her 'your heart is set' on the next day. After some talking, you'll have to leave one party member behind so that Maria joins (Maria has a couple of decent ethers, but she's really weak physically). Leave the room and some vendor will offer the same items you could get on Aphel Aura, in case you forgot. Try to exit Shevat by using the Stepping Stones, but one of them will be closed. You'll have to use the Emergency Shaft to reach the hangar.

Head North, turn West, then North to get the Shevat Map (Only works at the lower levels). Go back heading East, then North jumping over an obstacle and crossing a door. Go down the spiral stair, open the door to the North, head East, then go down the elevator to get a Queen's Rod. Go back up on the elevator, back South, head West, then North to go down another elevator. Head West, then down the ladder to the North. Head East and Maria will mention you change the windmill direction by touching the Green Crystal. Do it, then jump onto one of them, then jump again when you reach the other side (If you fall, go back West and climb the ladder). Go down the ladder to the North, then South to take the elevator down. If you brought the map, Maria will mention you can use it now (Refer to the Maps section). Go all the way to the South to find a Battle Apron. Go back North, turn West, then enter the first door to the South and up the stairs. Go South, then East all the way to find a Ruby Helmet. Go back and head North to get an Aquasol DX and a Rosesol DX. Now go back and head down the staircase. Turn West, then North all the way (You can turn to West to check on Big Joe at a closed entrance if you want), then East, then take the door to the South. Head South, then West, then South again to get a Whip-Lasher. Go back and head West, then take the stairs down to the South to get an Economether (Have Elly with an Ether Doubler and this and you have a killer member :P). Go back up and head North and try to enter the door to the East. After beating some Gimmicks, the previously locked stairs (Where Big Joe was) will be opened. Ignore the door and go NorthEast to reach another elevator. Save your game, then go East jumping twice the ramp (if you fall, go back West and up the ladder), continue East, North, then East again, climbing down 2 ladders. Jump at one of the rotating blades to the West, then jump again to another rotating blade to reach an elevator to the South. Follow the obrigatory way down 2 sets of spiral stairs, then take West at the last crossroad to save the game. Go back South and down the manhole. Take the West entrance and you'll watch a long scene. You'll be back at Zephyr's room to decide a plan of action to Protect the 4 Generators.

Shevat - Protect the Generators

Items found: None (Except for those dropped by the bosses)

Citan will explain the whole situation and you'll have to choose one Gear to defend each Generator. My suggestion is (I'm assuming you have upgraded the gears as much as you could): Have Vierge on the first generator, Heimdal or Renmazuo on the second, Stier (Equipped with the Silver Ar you just got from the previous battle) on the third and Fei (Equipped with an Ar Repairer if you bought one earlier and a Gold Plate) on the last generator. If you're lucky, the LittleFoot Gear might even drop a Silver Ar +1. Vierge can easily destroy the guards at the first generator with one Aerods atack (try using Ethers if you got the Ether Doubler equipped), so use it to end this battle quickly. At the second generator, the White Knights will be more of an annoyiance (They're very fast, but depending on your defense they can't even damage you). Destroy the White Knights first at the third Generator, then concentrate on Citadel (Don't forget to equip a Silver Ar). The last generator battle will be tough if you didn't equip the parts I suggested. Turn on Booster, Kill the White Knights, then attack Avalanche (There's no way to avoid the Sonic Boom attack, so use Frame HPs if necessary). But it's not over yet, there's still Achtzehn left!

With your gears unable to move, you'll watch one of the most ridiculous scenes ever made (I refuse to describe it :P). Just use any of Chu-Chu attacks against Achtzehn and after a few turns, Chu-Chu will go down. After another conversation, Seibzehn takes on Achtzehn and luckly this a very easy battle compared to the Generators battles. Just use Cross, then Level 1 Deathblows to blow up Achtzehn.

It's over! But before you leave Shevat, note a couple of things: When Gaspar removed your limiters, he allowed your characters to learn new 7 AP Deathblows! Check the Deathblows page for more information; The Yggdrasil can fly now, allowing you to visit new areas (Check the helmsman's notes for the new controls). The best way to learn new Deathblows is fighting Croaker Tribes with a Wizardry Ring equipped (You can find those at a grassland island to the SouthEast tip of the map). It may take some time, but it's worth the effort. There isn't much else to do unless you want to revisit (You could try Battling at Nortune), so get ready and head to Nisan.

Nisan Mausoleum and the First Gate: Hermit's Hole

Items found at the Mausoleum: Deathblower 1, Desert Worm

Enter Nisan and after a short scene, you'll fight some guards. Stand still and more guards will come after you (You have to beat all of them). After they're defeated, you'll watch another scene (You can't use Citan for now), then you should go to the Store (even if it's empty) and touch the table to buy anything you want. After that, exit Nisan through the West (or East) exit, then circle around the lake on the city map and talk to Margie. Go down many sets of stairs until you find a locked door. It doesn't matter what you choose, just check the panel to the East if you decide Bart should remember it, then enter the next room. After defeating more guards, you'll watch a scene, then head North and enter the elevator. Follow the spiral hallway, open the North door, then use the Fatima Jasper to continue. Take the West path, cross the North door, then save the game and get the Desert Worm at the bridge. Take another North door, head East, then take the elevator up. Head NorthWest, enter the Energy Block, then take the third door to the South to find a Deathblower 1. Go back to the corridor entering the second door to the South, cross the NorthWest door, check your retinas, then save. Enter the SouthEast door, circle South, then follow the SouthWest path (There are lights at its sides) to find the Omnigear. Continue SouthWest and read the inscription (The lights will automatically turn on). Now go back to the bridge room (The tool you will be selling items) and check the panels to watch a scene. Now go back to the Gear room (You'll find enemies from now on), watch a scene near the second Jasper lock, then you'll have to fight 2 Neo Etones when you reach the gear.

I only considered these Neo Etones as bosses because of the boss theme playing while you fight them. Just crush them with your newly acquired Andvari and the others. After some conversation you'll be back at Nisan (You can change characters by talking to them). When you're ready, head West to the Hermit's Hole (Now known as Ignas' Gate Cave) and fight 2 Neo Etones. Equip the Seal Ar or Barrier you got from them and continue North to fight Shakhan.

This is a tough battle, but it's only a matter of patience. Equip WaterVeil Ars and Seal Ars to protect yourself against Ignas Storm and Seal Punch. Do not attack him while he's attached to the gate or else Shakhan'll heal 1000 HP. He will also counter attack every time you attack him when he's disattached, so use Frame HPs when necessary. After defeating Shakhan, exit South and you'll watch some scenes until you're back to Bledavik planning to destroy the Second Gate.

Second Gate - Babel Tower

Items found: None (Except for those dropped by bosses)

Before heading to Babel Tower, revisit Bledavik for new dialogues and a funny play (If you helped the kids giving them money..by the way, one of them will give you 100G back). Be sure to upgrade your Gears and equip Elly with a Flare RodG and Fei (or Elly) with an Ether Veiler and Ether Ars (And don't use Chu-Chu in the other group, have Seibzehn and Andvari guarding the place). Head to the top of the Babel Tower with the Yggdrasil and enter the right door. The party will switch to Billy, so choose Bart and Maria in your party. You'll switch back to Fei, so head East, South, jump down into the pit, then get outside your gears and enter the small door to the North. After a scene, Dominia and Kelvena will attack you.

Have Vierge attack (equipped with a Flare RodG) Marinebasher or cast Thermo Largo (with an Ether Doubler equipped), then group on Bladegash to finish the battle. You'll switch to Ft. Jasper to fight the other 2 elements. Just defeat Skyghene first with your best attacks. Then you'll switch back to Babel Tower and fight Bladegash and Marinebasher (again...). Repeat the previous strategy (Just watch out for fuel and HP), then use the same strategy against Skyghene and Grandgrowl. Billy will hit the gate on the second try and after some scenes, dock at the Thames and talk to the Captain to find a way to the Third Gate.

Third Gate - Sargasso

Items found at Sargasso: Dark Rod, Deathblower 2, Mermaid Mail

After talking to the Thames' Captain, check out the Thames Gear Shop and upgrade your gears, then go back to the Yggdrasil and tell Sigurd you're ready to be automatically taken to Sargasso. To move around Sargasso, keep jumping and holding the run button to move faster (Note that sometimes the current will try to push you back). Start heading North, then East twice, then jump repeteadly above to reach the light. Save your Game, get the Mermaid Mail, then go back underwater. Go back South, then take the West path you ignored. Avoid the current coming from the East and head West (Keep swimming to maintain your position, like you did in the Bledavik Waterway). Jump into the light above to get a Dark Rod and stop the current by touching the other chest. Now go back and head East until you're taken by the current. Jump into the light, get the Deathblower 2, and head inside to fight Crescens.

Just like Seibzehn, this gear is rather powerful alone, but against 3 of your barely damaged gears (The dungeon is relatively small), Crescens has no chance at all. Try testing your newly acquired Deathblower 2 to make things faster. After some scenes, you'll be at Shevat preparing to enter Solaris.

Solaris

Items found at the Solaris 3rd Class F Block and 2nd Class Citizen Area: Aquasol DX, Crimson Vest, Feathered Cap, Tickets, Work Permit

Items found at the Solaris Waterway and Elly's House: Aquasol DX, Army Cardkey, Feathered Cap, Psycho Rod

Items found on your way to Krelian's Lab: Aquasol DX, Gold Bullion, 2 Gold Nuggets, Hob-Meat, 2 Hob-Steaks, Zetasol

Items found at Krelian's Lab: Angelic Robe, 3 Aquasols DX, B&JM686S Ammo, Dark Armor, Dark Helm, Deathblower 3, Ether Veiler, 2 Extra Ars +6, Extra Ar DX, 2 Eyeballs, 2 Gold Nuggets, 2 Hob-Meats, Hob-Steak, Muscle Belt, Scales, 2 Silver Ars +1, Speed Ring S, 3 Survival Tents

Item found after reuniting with everyone and escaping Solaris: 2 Aquasols DX, B&JM686S Ammo, 2 Panalphasols, Shot G70 Ammo, 2 Survival Tents

After watching some scenes (Emeralda joins the party and Citan will be using a sword soon), go to Zephyr's room and say you're ready (If there's anything you want to do before heading to Solaris, do it NOW. You can revisit Kislev and do some battling if you want or test Emeralda and take her to the bar at Bledavik to watch a funny scene). The gravity will be upside down when you reach Solaris (Don't worry, it's just temporary), so head Left and check one of the tubes. The gravity will go back to normal and you can save the game, then exit the tube. After watching a scene, you can jump at the green platforms to visit other tubes. The first one leads to a mutant that dies right after you leave, the second leads to Samson (Accept his offer), the third leads to a citizen and the last one is where you find Elly. Go back to Samson and get a work permit, then talk to the guard at the Watchtower. Cross the NorthEast door, head NorthEast ignoring the first elevator (It doesn't matter that much, it's just a shortcut) and take the next elevator. You must head NorthWest, then SouthWest without being caught by the security cubes. The problems is, their view range is quite long, so you have to hide behind walls to prevent them. Take the elevator, then the first elevator down to get an Aquasol DX. Go back and cross the door to find Samson. After another scene, head NorthEast, then NorthWest past another ID check. Talk to the citizens if you want, then head NorthEast to the 2nd Class Citizen area.

Head NorthEast, then NorthWest and enter the store to buy items and character equipment. Head NorthEast to the next house and take the North door (The NorthWest door leads to a room where Big Joe is dancing and the SouthEast door leads to a room with a Tifa poster and a kid playing with a toy gear), then the SouthEast door and ask the old lady for tickets. Go NorthWest and save if you want, then leave the house, circle around South and talk to the Black Guard to watch the ceremony. After some scenes you'll be escaping Security Cubes by heading West (They won't stop coming, so keep moving). Ignore the first bridge to the North side, then take the second one, jump the blocks and climb up the ladder, then jump over more blocks. Take the bridge back to the South side, then either drop and take the ladder or cross the cables. Move along the South side, ignore the first bridge North, then take the next one to get a Crimson Vest. Jump over a few more blocks, then take the North bridge and go back to get an Aquasol DX. Continue on the North Side and cross the cables (You can't drop this time, so be careful), then go along the South side. Cross the bridge to the North and go back to get a Feathered Cap. Jump 2 blocks again, turn South and exit the area. Check the NorthWest door to enter Elly's house and watch a long, nice sequence. Save your game, then exit the room. Ignore the door to the NorthWest, and go down the stairs. Talk to Medena at the SouthWest room, then talk to the maid at the NorthEast room to get a Psycho Rod, then open the NorthWest door you previously ignored and check the computer. After another scene, you'll be back at Etrenank, so exit SouthWest (You can't talk to Solarians without Elly) back to the Watchtower. After reuniting with Citan, go back all the way to the 3rd Class Area, enter the Dust Chute to the NorthWest and check the Green Panel. You'll be back with Elly. Exit her room, get the Army Cardkey and watch more scenes until you're back at the chute.

Touch the Green Panel to get inside. Cross the door to the NorthWest, then climb the ladders and exit SouthEast. Instead of jumping down, circle around and push a piece of metal to the SouthWest inside the hole. Now rotate the camera until you find a door to the NorthEast and drop down from the spot directly above it (If you fail, you'll go back to the first floor). Head NorthEast, SouthEast, then SouthWest to get a Hob-Steak. Go back and head NorthEast, crossing the door, then head North to get an Aquasol DX and try exiting NorthWest to watch a scene. Go NorthWest and climb the ladder NorthWest to watch some dialogue. Continue NorthWest and turn NorthEast at the other side of the room and get a Hob-Steak before crossing the next door to the NorthWest. At this room, you have to input a certain code to deactivate the foreign object scanner on the previous room. But you can also get some items if you turn on all 'blocks' or turn off all 'blocks'. The code to advance is 0101, meaning the first and third blocks must be off (Gold Bullion), and the others on (Gold Nugget). It's rather confusing, but keep trying different combinations until you succeed. Now go back and enter the conveyor belt at the South tip, touch the small platform to the SouthEast, then jump NorthEast to get a Hob-Meat. Head back and enter the North conveyor belt this time, turning NorthWest, then NorthEast to watch a scene. After that, head SouthWest to get a Zetasol, head SouthEast, then turn SouthWest before the door to get another Gold Nugget. Circle around and enter the SouthWest door. Save your game, then cross the SouthEast door taking the elevator up to Krelian's Lab.

Take the NorthEast door, turn SouthEast, then cross the SouthWest door to get an Aquasol DX and check the computer if you want. Exit and follow NorthEast, then turn NorthWest and enter the NorthEast door to save the game (One of the Memory Cubes actually work) and get a Survival Tent. Exit the room, head NorthEast, cross the SouthEast door, press the switch on the middle of the room to watch a scene, then cross the SouthWest door. Enter another SouthWest door to find a room full of cages. You can open the cages at this room and at the next room to the SouthWest, but you'll have to fight the Reapers inside it (The chests have the following items: Hob-Meat, Muscle Belt, Scales, Angelic Robe, Eyeball and Hob-Steak). After clearing the cages, head through another SouthWest door, then NorthWest, then turn SouthWest opening the purple barrier. Entering the first NorthWest door to get an Extra Ar +6 and the second to get an Eyeball. Go back to the NorthWest corridor and turn SouthWest again, picking a Gold Nugget and a Hob-Meat in the 2 next rooms. Head back, turn NorthEast, enter the SouthEast door getting an Aquasol DX and checking the computer to deactivate a door lock, then exit the room and open the door to the NorthEast. You'll be back at the entrance from the other side, but you can climb the stairs and open the SouthEast gate, taking the Survival Tent and Aquasol DX along the way. Head SouthEast (ignore the 2 branches), get a Silver Ar +1 at the SouthWest side of the next room, then head SouthEast twice. Get an Aquasol DX at the South border, then enter the SouthEast door if you want to save, then go back and enter the Northeast room. You'll be at a room with a cage filled of monsters (All of them are easy, except for the Bloody Bros., whom is a weaker version of Redrum, so kill it quickly or bring lots of Zetasols). After killing all of them, get the Ether Veiler and Deathblower 3 at the chests inside the cage, then go back to the Memory Cube room (If you're the paranoid type like me, save again) and continue SouthEast this time, following the obrigatory way and turning SouthWest twice. Check the panels if you want and get the Dark Helm at the West border. Exit the room, head SouthEast, then turn NorthEast to get a Dark Armor inside the room. Go back and head SouthEast to get a B&JM686S Ammo at another room. Head back all the way (Past the Dark Armor room) to the NorthWest and take the NorthEast branch this time and input the following code: Up, Down, Up, Left, Right. Turn SouthWest and enter the NorthEast door to get a Survival Tent and go back (ignore the upper door), entering the next NorthEast door. Get an Extra Ar +6 while going up and enter the upper SouthWest door. Go back NorthWest to get an Extra Ar DX, then enter the third NotthEast door and go down to get a Silver Ar +1. Go back to the upper hallway and head SouthEast, then from the main hallway going back and forth, turn SouthWest to get a Sonic Wave, turn NorthEast to get a Silver Ar +1, then SouthWest to get a Gold Nugget.

Take an obrigatory SouthWest turn, then turn back SouthEast and enter another room to get a Speed Ring S and find some nifty info about all characters (just click on the holograms). Go back to the corridor and head SouthWest to watch a scene. Turn SouthEast to watch another long scene (s). Your party will be Fei, Billy and Bart for now. Keep heading SouthWest to save Elly, then turn SouthEast at the end of the tunnel to find everyone. You can save your game, switch party members by touchin the blue cube and buy accessories/items from Hammer (Nothing new, though). Make sure you get prepared (I'd suggest bringing Billy for healing and Citan since he'll be using a sword, even if unequipped) and exit SouthEast. Enter the next SouthEast door to get a B&JM686S Ammo. Now go back to the room where everybody was and take the SouthWest door, turn NorthWest and enter last door to the NorthWest, ignoring all doors on the way, to get a Panalphasol. Exit the room, cross the SouthEast door, ignore the branch and enter the East door. Turn South at the crossroads, then enter the East door to get a Shot G70 Ammo. Head back and continue South, then SouthWest. Ignore the first branch, then turn NorthWest on the next one and enter the NorthEast door to get an Aquasol DX. Exit and walk a little NorthWest, then turn SouthWest for another Panalphasol. Head back NorthEast, then SouthEast, then turn SouthWest. Follow the corridor until you can turn SouthWest again, then enter the first SouthEast door to get another Aquasol DX. Exit, GO back NorthEast, turn NorthWest, turn NorthEast and enter the NorthWest to get a Survival Tent. Exit and head to the last SouthWest door. Turn SouthEast when you can, then turn SouthEast again if you want to save the game, or continue SouthWest. Follow the obvious way, then take the first NorthWest door you see for a Survival Tent. Go back and head SouthEast. After talking with everyone, head SouthWest to watch some dramatic events and fight Grahf.

Eliminate the Executioner with your best deathblows, since she can use some very damaging Ether, while Grahf's deathblows aren't nearly as dangerous. This fight should be really easy if you have 7AP Deathblows, especially with Citan. After more and more scenes, Disc 1 will be done! Disc 2 starts with Fei at Taura's House.

Taura's House and Saving Nisan

Items found at Taura's House: None (for now)

After lots of scenes, Disc 2 starts and you can move around Taura's house. Go after him to watch more scenes, then go back inside the nanoreactor room to talk a bit more. Then exit the room and after more scenes (Get used to this during Disc 2), you'll have a second chance to fight Ramsus with Weltall-2. This battle is quite easy, even if Vendetta can pack some damage. You already start with System Id without wasting fuel, so take your time getting used to it (You'll use System Id in almost all boss battles from now on). Use Goten X 3 times and he should be gone. You'll watch more scenes about Elly's quest (You won't actively participate this time), then you should save before Bart's mission.

After watching that Tokusatsu-style transformation, you'll fight an even easier boss. Just look at your HP. Just use whatever skills or attacks you want to destroy Ft.Hurricane. Remember this is the only time you'll ever use the Super Dimensional Yggdrasil IV, so enjoy while you can. :P After watching more scenes, you'll have to choose a character party. I suggest you bring characters that have non-elemental deathblows, like Billy, Rico or Emeralda to fight Sufal Mass.

The trick to win this battle is to NOT kill all 4 sulfals. Kill 3 of them, then use you best non-elemental deathblows as fast as you can against the Sufal Mass (He will eventually kill the last Sulfal and start using a death-like attack against you). After watching lots of scenes (including an Anime scene with Elly), choose your party and you'll be at the Anima Dungeon #1.

Anima Dungeon #1

Items found at the Anima Dungeon #1: Ether Guard, King's Helm, Gold Bullion, Survival Tent, Wizardry Ring, 2 Zetasols DX

Before moving on, head NorthEast where you can save, change your party members and most importantly, upgrade your equipments with Shopkeeper Johnny. I suggest you to leave Renmazuo as it is, since you'll get its Omnigear soon enough and bring characters that have all 4 elemental deathblows (Fei, Elly, Citan and Bart). Head NorthEast past Johnny, then turn North to get an Ether Guard. Go back past Johnny heading NorthWest and cross a small passage with your small characters, then turn North to get a Starlight. Now go back and head North through the bridge and circle around the building before entering it to get a Zetasol DX and a King's Helm. Continue North inside the building, then turn West to find a Gold Bullion. Head East up the stairs, then turn West when possible. Cross another room, then pick a Wizardry Ring and check the red dot to the NorthWest corner of the room. Go back heading East, then enter the West door at the end of the hall to get the fuse-like object at the SouthWest corner. Go back to the room with the red dot and examine it again, check the computer, then enter the North door. Head straight to get a Survival Tent, then head back and turn SouthWest. Cross the West door at the end of the hallway to get a Zetasol DX, then check the NorthEast computer. Enter the code 0-3-2-0, then check the West computer. Now go back and go down the elevator to the East path you previously ignored. Enter the North door and activate the middle computer, then check the elevator at the middle of the circular room. Set the following codes in the computers: A-2, B-4, C-8 and D-5, then check the panel near the A terminal. Take the elevator down and head East to get Billy's Omnigear and fight the Elements.

You've fought them before, so you should know the strategy: Use elemental deathblows according to each of the girls' weakness. Start with Fire Deathblows against Kelvena, then Water Deathblows on Seraphita, Wind Deathblows on Tolone and Earth Deathblows on Dominia. It is possible to defeat Dominia first, but she will heal herself for lots of HP if you even get near it. After some more scenes, the girls make an ugly tokusatsu-like transformation and challenge you (for the last time. I promise :P).

Turn Booster and have Weltall-2 use System Id, then use your best infinity deathblows with everyone else (Billy could use his ether gun), but try to keep your HP up, because you'll receive some extra damage after G Elements is defeated. After more and more scenes (Yes, I know you're tired of watching by now), you'll be searching the last Omnigear at the Anima Dungeon #2. The programmers were surely creative about naming dungeons in disc 2, uh?

Anima Dungeon #2

Items found at the Anima Dungeon #2: 2 Aquasols DX, Beastly Robe, Ether Doubler, Ether Guard, King's Helm, Rose Tabard, Survival Tent

Once again, take your time leveling up if you want and refueling with Johnny. At the north corner, there is a boulder that you have to push East (You don't need to throw it into the pit). Enter the newly found entrance to the North by getting off your gears and read the hints on the wall and on the pillars. Search the back of the NorthWest pillar and a block will fall. Jump on it, jump on the north pillar, then jump up (doesn't have to be in any direction) to make another block fall behind the NorthEast pillar. Near this pillar, there's a writing saying "4 steps South, 10 steps West". From that spot, do these steps to make another block fall, then push all blocks into the holes to watch 2 platforms move outside. Leave and get back to your gears. Before jumping to the platforms, jump down to get an Aquasol DX and an Ether Guard, then head back up and jump over the 2 platforms to the East heading to the next area. Head SouthEast and cross the East bridge with your small characters, entering the North door. Get the Survival Tent along the way, then head East. At the next room, walk along the walls or you'll fall into a pit, then get a Rose Tabard and another Aquasol DX, then read the East pillar. Fall into the pit nearest to the pillar pushing the directional button to the East and you'll enter a secret passage before falling down the pit, so cross the East door. Don't move while the spikes are falling, then jump over it to the East and wait until it heads back up to find a door. At the water drainage room (The left switch raises water, the right one lowers it; The buttons change the level you want to add/subtract to 3 or 7), first drain all the water, then add 7, subtract 3 twice, add 7 again and subtract 3 to drain all the water outside this area. Head East, then South to get a Beastly Robe, push the rock to the West, then head back to your gears. Get the Ether Doubler and King's Helm you couldn't access before, then head East. SAVE you game (there's good change you'll have to try battling the area boss again, so do it), and follow the passage to get Rico's Omnigear. Hammer will show up before you leave to stop you.

Yes, the handy but annoying toolman has turned into some gear-like freak and wants to kill you. This battle is ridiculous (You can escape after a certain a point, and even if you don't he self-detonates himself), but the whole point of beating him before he does that is getting an awesome accessory called the Trader Card (With it, enemies will drop nifty rare items that you won't get normally). I suggest that you remove all of Elly's good equipment (You'll know why soon), equip someone with a Holy Pendant (except Weltall-2) and make sure Fei has System Id and the 2 others have a Level Infinity or 3 attack ready when he turns red to start the self-destruction. Having fast characters, like Citan, Emeralda or even Elly (She has a good chance of reaching Infinity) is your best bet. I highly suggest that you try it again if you fail to get the Trader Card, it isn't necessary to beat the game, but quite helpful. After a bunch of scenes, Fei and rest will head to Mahanon.

Mahanon

Items found at the Eldrige: None

Now you know why I told you to remove Elly's equipment. Go down the spirtal stairs and into one of the rooms to "express your feelings" to Elly. After more scenes, you'll have the chance to choose your party and get ready before fighting Deus. Do it and after some other scenes you'll fight it.

Let Deus hurt himself, and when his HP is about 5000 (or less, if you prefer), activate System Id and defeat him. If you attack him before that, he'll heal himself for 16000 HP! After this battle, you'll watch even more scenes, and then fight Grahf riding his Alpha Weltall.

After the battle with Alpha Weltall (There's a good chance you'll lose this battle, but you can beat him if you use Bart's Wild Smile many times to slow him down and with lots of luck. If he ever hits you with his 3-hit combo, you'll take around 30000 of damage), you'll watch many more scenes until you're going after Elly at Merkava.

Merkava and getting the Xenogears

Items found at Merkava: None

Head East, upgrade anything you haven't equipped and buy Ether Ars +3 (I HIGHLY suggest doing these steps). Go back, save your game, then head North to face Ramsus for the last time. Coincidence or not, this is also by far the toughest of all Ramsus' battles. You cannot evade the Wave #3 Demiser, so use Frame HPs on 2 gears immediately and attack him with Level 1 Deathblows (and System Id, of course). Don't bother about booster or about if the remaining gear with 1 HP fails (If you heal all 3 gears, Ramsus will use Wave #3 Demiser again), you'll be fighting another boss immediately with no chance to save or refuel, but the defeated gear will come back with a bit of HP. Try to keep the other 2 gears in a good condition, since after this battle you'll watch more scenes and fight Miang riding her Opiomorph. If you want to take the risk of healing all 3 gears, turn on booster (or have fast gears, like Crescens) and defeat Ramsus before he uses Wave #3 Demiser again.

This is possibly the hardest boss of the game, but if you equipped the Ethers Ars +3, they'll be helpful now. If you let one of the gears die in the last battle, heal it immediately. Miang's Wave #4 Devastator damages you according to how much damage you do to her, meaning if you stay still recharging your fuel there's a good chance she won't even damage you at all. This might take a while, but at least restore a bit of Weltall-2's fuel while using weak triangle attacks with the 2 other gears. Repeat this process until the 2 gears have Level 3 or infinity deathblows, then turn on System Id, and go for it (Make sure you time your hits because you're getting lots of damage on her nexts Wave #4 Devastators). Note that Opiomorph has only 22000 HP, so try calculating how much need you beat her, and watch out when her HP gets too low (She'll start damaging you a lot even if you stop attacking her). After this nearly-impossible battle, you'll watch lots of scenes and save your game (You don't want to fight Ramsus and Miang again, do you?), then re-equip before fighting Id.

Id is extremely easy this time (even without your Omnigears). Turn on booster and attack him until he's down. After some more scenes, you'll fight True Weltall with your last gear, the Xenogears. This battle is a bit harder (you don't have System Id anymore), but it's still a piece of cake compared to the Merkava battles. Just use your best deathblows (Xenogears had a high rate for getting infinity level deathblows) until Grahf is down. After that, more FMVs and story details will be shown until you're finally controlling your characters again at the Crashed Shevat.

Crashed Shevat and Battling at Kislev

Items found at Crashed Shevat: Elly Jr. Doll, Emer Jr. Doll, 2 Hercules Rings, Hero Costume, Kijin Sword, Mermaid Ring, Speed Shoes, Vivid Turban, Wizardry Ring, Yamato Belt

Items found at Taura's House: Goddess Robe, Manly Mantle

You can finally control your characters again, but there's lots of good items to get at the now-crashed Shevat. Head NorthEast and you'll be at the new "main hall". To your SouthEast side is an Aveh Guard selling items; At the North corner is a clerk selling gear parts (I suggest you upgrade, although there's still one last shop to visit during a sub-quest); There's a woman selling picotiles for 20000 G...buy it so that you can move up the platform, and access the Chu-Chu room. Search the round blue tables (There are 4 tables) to get lots of great items. Go back to the main hall and buy equipment at the NorthWest corner with an old lady; Now head back South and jump over the bar tab and cross the South entrance. If you turn SouthEast, you can play around with a mirror, but you should head SouthWest and find Hans having some family problems. Talk to Kanna and try your luck at the card game. Beat Kanna once to get an Emer Jr. Doll and 5 times in a row to get an Elly Jr. Doll (Use Citan or Emeralda to play it). Also, take your time to listen to Hans' family problems and the Captain will return (You can talk to him and Lance just in the room above). The SouthEast door has a woman at the end of the stairs that will give you the Mermaid Ring if you bring Emeralda here later as an adult (Check the Lighthouse for details); The East door has only a bunch of regulars discussing; Enter the NorthEast door and turn NorthWest going up to talk to Zephyr (You'll watch a cool scene). Go back and continue NorthEast, then talk to Midori (She'll trade her ring for an Hercules Ring) and Dan. Now go back and take the North door besides the gear clerk and unequip the Kishin Sword from Fenrir. Talk to the old man at the end and he'll upgrade your sword to a Kijin Sword. Lastly, enter the NorthWest entrance near the bird lady and give the digger a Gold Nugget and a Gold Bullion to find a jukebox (Takes some time before he finds it). Now exit NorthWest and enter the Yggdrasil.

Go talk to Margie and after some conversation with Bart she'll mention Chu-Chu is missing. Find Chu-Chu at the gear hangar and ask to hear a lowdown about her so that she may rejoin the party (You can also talk to any technician to find out how you got your Omnigears back). If there's nothing left, go back to Taura's house (The World Map is quite different) and talk to him to get a Manly Mantle and a Goddess Robe. You can explore and fight some enemies that gives good stuff (with the Trader Card equipped), but from now on, it's up to you if you want to go to Deus or not. If not, head to Kislev.

You'll find a dog that belonged to the guy that turned into a Reaper in Krelian's Lab, so give him some Dog Food before he dies (I don't see what's the use of doing this, though...). The Blue Crystal at the center will still buy monster parts, but your main objective is the battling arena. Big Joe will bring the Jukebox if you want to use the M Disk (If you don't have the M Disk, you can get it now through battling). The Battling system is still the same, except that you can actually trade points for nifty items, like the Jr. Dolls or Speed Shoes (It will take a while to get all these items). If you beat all gears in Special Mode 1, you can use a special gear called Argento. After you're done here, you can go directly to Deus, but I suggest you finish the Lighthouse and Duneman Isle subquests.

Lighthouse

Items found at the Lighthouse: Deathblower 1, Deathblower 2, Deathblower 3, G-Godfather, Survival Tent, Z-Charger

Bring Emeralda with you and head to the Lighthouse (it's located at the NorthWest tip of a big island in the Aquvy area). Head North taking the elevator down, then head East until you see a small entrance North. Get out of the gears and go inside, then check the walls to find a Deathblower 1 (at the second floor) and information about HyperMode, Eldridge and Big Joe's past (...What!?). Exit, head South and enter the small East entrance. Get the Survival Tent, save if you want, then exit. Continue South, and from this street you can turn West to get a Deathblower 3 or East at the end of the street to get a Deathblower 2. Head back North to the place where you can save, turn East, then head South inside a small door to find a G-Godfather gun, then head back North and enter another small door to find Big Joe. The treasure chests will give random items and come back if you exit and re-enter the room, but what really matters is Joe's Shop. Some of his gear equipment might be too expensive (And it's ok if you don't want to risk using engines with high output, but low fuel), but upgrade at least your armors. And if you're high on cash, why not get a couple of drives? Anyway, exit the shop when you're done and head East until you reach a wide parking lot. Search for a manhole to the SouthWest and go down.

Head West twice and on the third time, go inside the subway car to get a Z Charger, head up the stairs and move along until you watch some scenes. After some sexual comments by Emeralda (Well, not really), she'll grow up and improve her status significantly. Exit the Lighthouse, and if you have the Mermaid Tear, go back to Shevat and talk to the woman at end of a stairway to get (don't forget to bring Emeralda) a Mermaid Ring. Save your game and prepare yourself for another side quest.

Duneman Isle

Items found at Duneman Isle: God Father, Kingly Armor, Yamoto Sword

By all means, have one of your characters equipped with the Trader Card; You'll randomly fight the Dragon, but he's quite different from his previous versions...not only he gives 30500 exp to each character, you'll get some of the best equipments and weapons from him. Defeating him isn't that easy, though; Bring Citan and Emeralda and equip everyone with Speed Shoes, then Fei should use Kokei or Yamikei with a Power Crisis (meaning it's ok to let him die and ressurect him with low HP; Fei'll take more damage that way). Using Elementals Deathblows with the other 2 is too risky, since they sometimes heal the Dragon. Note that you have to hover near the water to land at Duneman's Isle and you can't use gears here. Head to a desert island between Merkava and Bart's Hideout (You can see some kind of ruins on the island). After entering, refuse the Dune Men's offer and defeat them. Head closer to the sandfalls, and from this position, head East 3 times to find a regular desert area, then turn North. Fei will spot Sand Sharks on the next area, then continue North to find a fossil.

Jump over the fossil to get a Yamato Sword, then head back South. Go West to reach the top of the top of the sandfall, but you'll be quickly dragged back down, so choose one chest to get: The Kingly Armor to the left or the Godfather to the right (There's a good chance you'll have to repeat the whole process again, except for checking the fossil). After falling, you'll fight as a regular enemy from now on (There's a good chance you already chance fought one). Just use your best ethers to take him down. Take your time trying to beat the Dragon, it's really worth getting his exp. and treasure. You can exit the Isle now (Just keep going back West on the sandfalls area; You might have to help a Dune Man riding a truck to exit the area) if you want, and head to the final dungeon, Deus (If you're ready).

Deus

Items found at Deus:G-Godson Ammo, Pilot Shield

To the West of Bart's Hideout is a dot with a Grey formation (Deus). Enter it, and head North and a passage will open, so go inside. Head North, turn NorthEast, then North, jump the laser, then head NorthEast up the ramp. Turn SouthEast, then NorthEast jumping the Laser and head North to the next area. Dodge the lasers while falling and jump off the pillar when you reach the next area. You can see the exit to the NorthEast, but not reach it. Go down the elevator just below the pillar, head South and circle around to go up into the next elevator. Head SouthEast, but don't use the elevator, jump twice to the top of the pillar instead. Check it and the bridge to the North below will move to the East. Go down the elevator, head East, then take another elevator up. Head North, down the elevator, turn NorthEast, then jump up the pillar and check the light to switch another passage. Head back to the first switch, then go NorthWest, SouthWest and SouthEast to reach another area. Head South, turn East, then North back to the previous area. Get the G-Godson ammo behind the pillar and head back South until you find a crossroad, turn SouthWest and turn again South to go back to the other area. Go SouthWest and up the first elevator you find, turn East and jump at the top of the pillar to turn another switch. Head back West, go down, then SouthWest, up again, then South. Skip this paragraph from now on if you just want to reach the final boss. Turn SouthWest, then South, then SouthWest again to find a Pilot Shield. Now go back to the spot before skipping the paragraph.

Turn NorthWest from the last spot, then North to the next area. Head SouthEast (There should be a passage now), then go down the elevator, head East, then jump in the gate. After dodging more lasers, you'll be at the place where you fought Amphysvena and Opiomorph. Head East first and talk to Johnny if you want to buy something or leave the place. Upgrade if you forgot to do it before and head back if you're ready. Save your game, choose your party to fight Deus, then head North 3 times and jump inside to find Deus. I suggest you destroy each of the orbs (Although you can beat Deus without doing it), and I'll explain how to identify each of the orbs. Each orbs emmits a certain colored light. To fight Harlute, check the blue one; to go against Marlute, the yellow one; against Metatron, the gray one; lastly, to fight Sundel, check the pink light (It's up to you which boss to fight first).

Note, that you should save Fei for the last battle as your allies suggest. To fight Harlute, equip Speed Shoes, Holy Pendants and GNRS 50, then start attacking him. Harlute will causes many status effects changes and he will freeze 2 of your gears for a certain period of time. It's a tedious battle but it won't take much strategy to win. To fight Marlute, bring Chu-Chu (So, the little pink puff has some after all...) and equip your gears with Z Chargers, Frame HPs and Tank Guards. You can't use gear deathblows (Luckly, weak triangle attacks take good damage) and Marlute will use a powerful attack against all gears sometimes, but if he can't drain your fuel, you have all the time to heal back and re-charge. Like all other bosses, it only takes patience. Metatron is a pure beat-em-up battle, keep attacking him and healing until he's down (He'll take lots of damage, so use fully-prepared gears that you don't want to use in the last battle). Lastly, Sundel will start the battle "choosing" one of your gears. Whatever you do, do NOT attack Sundel with the chosen gear (Most likely, you'll have to heal or charge since every time you attack Sundel with the other gears, he retaliates at the chosen gear). Also, this battle may or may not takes lots of patience, depending if Sundel decides to use his healing every turn (Yes, he does that). After you're done with the 4 guys, bring Fei, equip everyone with Speed Shoes, Holy Pendants, Anti Angel Systems (Power Seraphs drop those), Frame HPs and either GNRS 50s or Z Chargers. Note that Deus can damages every gear for over 12000 HP, but if you defeated all orbs, he won't many skills (like the irritating healing) and have less HP. Just don't let your HP too low and keep attacking him until he's down. After another scene, Xenogears will be restored and you'll face the last boss!

Finally, the last boss. Urobolus can take 7000 HP in one attack, so heal when necessary. I'd suggest you to keep using X, Level 1 Deathblows; This battle is a sinch compared to Deus and the orbs. It'll take a while, but you'll eventually win and finish the game! Congratulations!
