Beastiary Part 1 of 4: Chinaland Enemies
Here is a list of all the enemies in Super Ninja Boy, including pictures, levels, locations, sen earned, exp earned, type of enemy, strategies for winning, and the like. The names of the enemies were conjured up by me, and are not very creative. Ah well...
I've split the Beastiary into 4 sections, based on the 4 continents of the game. I have also arranged all the info into a table.
Chinaland Enemies
Enemy Name |
Level |
Location |
Enemy Type |
EXP/Sen |
Picture |
Strategy |
Greybot |
LV 1 |
Yokan Region, Cave to Horizon Gate |
Small Enemy |
2 exp/4 sen |
|
No special attacks whatsoever. They are pretty much the "grunts" of this game, and require little to no effort to defeat. They will attack if given time, though. |
Ducky |
LV 2 |
Chinaland, Cave to Horizon Gate, Samurai Cave, other various locations |
Small Enemy |
4 exp/8 sen |
|
These guys take more hits than Greybot, and attack in larger groups, sometimes 6 in one battle! They can be beaten in pretty much the same fashion, but taken a little more seriously. Sometimes, they attack with Falcons and Cymbalbees. |
Falcon |
LV 3 |
Chinaland, Cave to Horizon Gate, Samurai Cave, other various locations |
Small Enemy |
6 exp/12 sen |
|
Sort of the "partner" of the Ducky enemy, as they usually attack together. The Falcons can be beaten in the same way, though they have an axe attack that you should be careful of. It reaches farther than a punch, so jump to attack them. |
Bobcat |
LV 4 |
Horizon Gate Area, Cave to Horizon Gate, Mt Sanpin |
Medium Enemy |
20 exp/32 sen |
|
A good source of EXP early in the game! A good idea is to trip them with the running slide attack, then keep throwing them at each other. Don't let them spin their tails around, it's a strong attack! |
Flying Statue |
LV 6 |
Horizon Gate Area, Mt Sanpin |
1 Hit Enemy |
6 exp/12 sen |
|
Use the Moonsault Kick. It's your best weapon against these guys. Just make sure you jump diagonally at them. You don't want to miss a jump at these guys, or you'll take a lot of hits and bang the keyboard/controller in frustration, possibly breaking your system! ^_^ |
CymbalBee |
LV 7 |
Mt Sanpin, Samurai Cave, Mt Wasabi |
Dancing Enemy |
40 exp/80 sen |
|
The first dancing enemy in the game, which sometimes appears with Ducky while in the Samurai Cave. There is a lot of time between when he appears and when he actually attacks, so just keep your eyes on him, and repeatedly punch him when you get close. |
Flaming Head |
LV 8 |
Samurai Cave |
Flying Enemy |
60 exp/80 sen |
|
I really don't recommend fighting many flying enemies. You don't get a lot of exp/sen from most of these enemies, so fight these at your own risk. Just attack when they fly side to side. T-Stars work wonders! |
Marching Band |
LV 9 |
Yokan Area |
Flying Enemy |
60 exp/104 sen |
|
This enemy only appears in the Japanese version of the game. It drops it's band members on you. |
Caveman |
LV 9 |
Samurai Cave, Mt Wasabi |
Medium Enemy |
30 exp/60 sen |
|
Try not to let these guys spin their clubs. And, oh yeah, throw them into each other for some fun! |
SkeletonSuperstar |
LV 10 |
Mt Sanpin, Mt Wasabi, Tower of Belba |
Large Enemy |
70 exp/82 sen |
|
The main guitarists in Bongoman's "band". Rush in and beat the tar out of them before they can use their gliding across the screen attack. Oh yeah, if you knock them over while fighting them in Mt Wasabi, you can throw em into the spiked ceiling! *L* |
