You need a copy of the emulator Zsnes and the Seiken Densetsu 3 ROM to play this.   Also, if you want to hack savestates you'll need the program for it.  For all of that go here.

Savestate Archive

Note that all the savestates in this archive are named mana2j.whatever.    If your ROM is not named mana2j.smc, you'll have to rename them before they'll work.

Note that the characters in all the savestates in our archive have no weapons or armor equipped.  That's because the equipment you can use varies depending on your choice of class, and they're all on the first class so that you can choose what you want them to be.  They do have LOTS of cash though, so buy whatever equipment you want once you've picked your class.

In case you want to try out all the different possible classes before you decided what characters and classes you wanted to choose, below are savestates before the first class change of each character on a level high enough for the second class change, with all the items necessary to be any class in the second class change, at the place where you change levels.

(Warning!  Very, very vague spoilers approaching from here on out.)    In Seiken Densetsu you choose one main character and two other characters from six possible characters.  The plot of the game is different depending on which characters you choose.  There is a short introduction which is different for all six of the characters.  The introduction is followed for a long stretch of game which is the same regardless of your characters during which three countries invade (roughly) three other countries.  Then there is a short scene in the middle of the game which is different depending on which character you chose for your main character.  The country your main character is from or the country which invaded the country which you main character is from rises up and defeats the other two aggressor countries.  Then there is another long stretch of game which is the same regardless of your characters.    Then there is a final scene, which is obviously different depending on which character you chose for your main character where you defeat whatever country rose up during the middle scene.  If you do not want to play through the game three full times to see the whole game, here we offer savestates from all three different quests before the middle and end scenes.  Note that there are minor dialogue differences scattered throughout the game which depend on which characters you chose, but those are so insignificant I wouldn't worry about them.  All characters in all of these are in their first class so you can choose what class you want them to be.
