A Japanese scientist.
He
knows quite a bit about the original Eve incident in Japan, and goes to
New York to investigate Eve's reappearance. He's very awkward and
uncomfortable in social situations. Add a dash of superstition, and
you've got Maeda.

Melissa is an
actress.
Her dream was to get the leading role in an opera, a dream that finally
came true. Unfortunately for her, she is constantly plagued by illness,
forcing her to take regular medication.
