Tools - Edgar attacks the enemy/enemies with store-bought tools, either doing damage or causing status effects to the monsters.

Objective Overview:

Edgar is a physical powerhouse. Early in the game his auto-crossbow, drill, and chainsaw will be be invaluable to your team. He can equip all the strongest weapons/armor in the game, including spears, some of which are very useful. His magical abilities, however, lead much to be desired. In case you haven't figured it out yet, Edgar is the king of the Figaro Kingdom, and as such he's a little bit full of himself, but he is still kind and idealistic and wants the best for his friends and his people. He's still a bit of a pervert though.

I used to think Edgar was a lot more useful than he actually is. See, while Edgar's tools might be useful early in the game, by the time you reach the Floating Continent they'll be practically useless, and he doesn't have much else going for him. His physical attacks are pretty good, I admit, but his magic just blows goats. It doesn't help that he's really full of himself either. Just because he is Mr. Rich King he thinks he can hit it with all the ladies? Hah! This guy's got nothing on Locke. Use Edgar for the first half of the game, but stick him in the back after that.
