Part 5 - From Baron to Toria and to Dark Elf's Cave

When you arrive at Baron, first head into the Inn and you'll find Yang. You'll have to fight a group of BaronGuards, and then Yang himself. When you come out victorious, Yang will rejoin your group.
Buy supplies (at least one tent, many potions and a few fenix downs). Then head to the west side of town, into the building and go through the secret passage on the right. Head down into the cave and through the maze. If you built up your levels back at Mysidia it won't matter but you might want to run away from some battles. Thunder works miracles here so make sure you have Yang equip a Thunder Claw.
In this room there are a lot of hidden passages. Check all the walls and go through them. There is a save point just ahead so use your magic points freely. Save and use a tent at the save point.
When you reach the surface, follow the moat on the left side to a door. Go in the castle to Cecil's room and rest in his bed. Continue towards the main entrance.
Here you meet Beigan, one of the generals for the king's army. He says Cid was taken over and he is the only one left. He agrees to join you against Golbeze. Wait, you don't have room for a sixth party member, but soon you realize things are not how they seem. The two twins smell a monster and it turns out that Beigan was one.
This battle can be hard if you don't know what you're doing. Don't attack its arms, because they regenerate in a round or two, so just attack the body. Right off cast Bolt 3 with Tella on the main body and just whack it with Cecil and Yang build up. Right after you use a spell it casts reflect so for the rest of the fight have the 3 mages defend. You can cast spells again when you think his reflect wore off but it isn't necessary.
Go up into the throne room where the king awaits. After a bit of conversation, the king admits he's really one of the four fiends Caignozzio and then attacks you.
This battle is quite easy if you know what to do. Right off have Cecil defend Tella (Cecil is pretty useless) and have Yang build up (700+ damage). Have Tella cast Bolt 3 (does 3000+damage), have the Porom defend and Palom cast Bolt 2. He will do Tsunami and might kill Tella. Revive him because he is necessary for this battle. If you get Bolt 3 off twice, it's toast. Two down, two to go.
Walk down and you meet Cid. He agrees to join you and give you his newest airship: The Enterprise. But wait again, you can't have a sixth person in your party.....
Head down to the next room. With Cagnazzo's last ounce of strength, he closes the walls to crush you. But Palom and Porom save the party by casting Break on themselves to stop the walls. Tella unsuccessfully tries to revive them. Don't bother trying to use any items on them because it won't work. Get the airship and leave.
But meanwhile, Golbeze and Cain are assessing the situation. Cain suggests they use Cecil to get them the last crystal. Golbeze agrees with him and it shifts back to the Enterprise.
Cain boards the ship and after a bit of name calling he says the only way to get Rosa back is to give them the crystal.
Head northwest toward Toria and go to the town. Stock up on supplies, save and rest. Then head toward the castle and go in the east wing to get all the treasure. Then head to the west wing.
In the tavern, if you talk to one of the guys he will sell you a pass for 10000 gil. If you buy it, you can talk to the guy near the wall and see the dancers. If you really want to, save before you go, then reload because it doesn't do anything else for you.
You will see Gilbert alright but he doesn't have the strength to fight with you. Next, go back to the center of the castle and go up.
The 8 clerics tell you that the Dark Elf stole their crystal and that you can borrow it if you get it back. The cave where the Dark Elf resides won't let you use metallic armor or weapons.
When you think you're ready, head north. At the picture, move one step up into the chocobo forest. You can store your useless dark armor and weapons at the Fat Chocobo if you haven't already. I suggest you do so because you will need the space in a bit. You probably want to build up levels. Just heal with Tella and restore his magic with the White Chocobo. Build up your levels until Cecil learns Cure 2. Then catch a Black Chocobo.
Fly east on the black chocobo to the island shown here land and move into the cave, but beware Cecil will not be fighting, only healing, so don't count on him.
