Part 4 - After the battle of Fabul to Baron as a Paladin

When you board the ship, there is a goodbye sequence between Yang and his wife.
The party still needs an airship and Cecil decides if he meets up with Cid, he will give them one for their crusade.
When everything seems to be going well, after the ship has left and is reaching Baron, Leviathan attacks. Rydia gets knocked overboard and Yang jumps in after her. The ship gets swallowed up...
Not knowing where anyone is, Cecil wakes up on a beach. Head east a bit into Mysidia.
If you talk to some people, you see that everyone hates you for murdering people and taking their crystal. One black mage turns you into a frog, just talk to him again to revert, and go up into the elder's house. Buy some antidotes here too because you'll need 'em. Have about 10.
The elder forgives Cecil because he senses some good within him. He says for Cecil to go to Mt. Ordeals to become a Paladin and that is the only way he can defeat Golbeze.
The elder sends Palom and Porom, a black and a white mage to go with you. They aren't all that strong, but their true power lies in their twin spell. Put them in the back row so they take less damage.
Head east through the winding land to get to the forest here. There is this small patch of trees which has Chocobos and the White Chocobo. Here you should build up your levels a bit. During battle, most enemies die after an attack with dark sword. Build up your levels until you get Cure 2 and Fire2, Ice 2, and Bolt 2. This will make the mountain so much easier. In between battles, use Cure and refill your magic with the White Chocobo.
In the mountain to the north, Cecil's sword does next to nothing, so you have to use magic, but since you built up Palom and Porom's magic enough, I recommend just running away from every enemy you see. They take way too long to destroy and it isn't worth it. You can run away from everyone without any trouble.
Right at the beginning, Palom casts Blizzard on the raging fire which blocks your path.
At the same time, you see a scene between Cain, Golbeze, and one of the four emporers: Scarmiglione. Golbeze sends Scarmiglione to kill Cecil before he becomes a Paladin.
You meet up with Tella in a little bit. He's searching for the legendary spell Meteo and joins your party. He is still fairly week compared to Palom. Put him in the back row also so almost all the damage is taken with Cecil. A little up ahead don't forget to take a right and save your game and use a tent. You'll need it.
Here you fight Scarmiglione which proves to be a tough battle. The first part you fight him with four zombies. Cast Fire 2 twice on everything and the zombies should die. Keep casting Fire 2 till Scarmiglione is dead too. Go back to the save spot and use another tent and save. Go back and he back attacks you. He is pictured in the upper right. When fighting hit left, then row. Constantly use Twin, have Cecil attack or use potions when necessary and have Tella Cure or Raise or use antidote.
Cecil transforms into a Paladin and a voice says he has to defeat himself.
The Dark Knight attacks Cecil and he must defeat him alone. The key to this battle is listen to the voice and to do nothing. When half your HP are gone, he will stop.
The light calls Cecil "my son" and says to go defeat Golbeze.
Behind this all, Tella, from the light, suddenly remembers all of his spells and learns the legendary black spell Meteo.
Leave the mountain, but whenever you encounter a group of enemies (4-7) then have Tella cast Fire 3. The first time you should gain 3 or 4 levels, the next you should get 2, and then do it one more time. Ride a chocobo back to Mysidia and speak to the elder. There is an ancient legend on the sword...
He tells you the legend that the Mysidians pray for, and that one person bearing the sword will step up to the evil.
The elder says he will open the gate to Baron for you to go through. He says he will pray for Cecil and the party. Palom and Porom want to go with him, so he lets them. Go to the armor shop and buy armor for Cecil...well as much of it as you can. You might want to build up gold to get it all because you will need it. Buy new armor for everyone else too.
Go to the right side of the town and enter the gate to Baron. Congratulations, you have just finished 1/4 of the game.
