Ganon's Castle

After Ganondorf captures Zelda, your business now
is to head to Ganon's Castle, where Hyrule Castle
used to be. Go there and you will see that the place
is a mess. Go to where the land ends before the
pit of lava. Rauru will call out to Link and the powers
of the Sages will merge and create a bridge to the
castle. Your job is to destroy the 6 barriers that
protect Ganon's Tower. Inside, there are 6 doors
to enter, each leading to an environment similar to
each of the temples. Go to where the Shadow
symbol hangs over the door.
Hover Boots and Fire Arrows are required. Shoot
the torch to the right with a Fire Arrow. That will
show the invisible blocks that can safely lead Link
to the other side. Once the block is gone, light the
torch again and head over to the next floor, and
down the right side to the switch, which will drop a
treasure for the Golden Gauntlets. Now use the Lens
of Truth to find the bridge to the Rusted Switch.
Hammer it, walk back, and find the bridge up the
middle. Open the door, take the stuff from the jars,
and shoot the orb in the center with a Light Arrow,
which will release the Shadow Barrier.
With the Golden Gauntlets at hand, exit the Castle.
Head to the left and to where the big pillar is. Grab
and lift it out of the way to reveal a Great Fairy
Fountain. This is the last Great Fairy, and will give
Link's defense a boost which will cut all damage by
1/2. Not too bad for a last gift. One more thing.
Head back to Kakariko Village. If you have the
Biggoron Sword, then you can do this. If not, then
do a little trading and give the Odd Mushroom to the
woman in the back Potion Shop. Do this, and she
will sell a Blue Potion. Buy 1 and save it. Fill up the
rest of the bottles with Fairies. You will need them.
Go back into the castle and into the Forest area.
Defeat the Wolfos and use Din's Fire to light the
4 torches and then shoot the torch with a Fire Arrow
above the door. Go through the door. Now you have
to get the 5 Silver Rupees. The Hover Boots come
in handy here, but watch out for the fans. The button
on the other side raises a post that you can Longshot
to and get the 5th rupee. All 5 will open the door.
Go through it and shoot the orb with a Light Arrow.
The Forest Barrier is now destroyed. Equip the
Goron Tunic and head to the Fire Area.
Again, you have to collect 5 Silver Rupees. You
need the Golden Gauntlets for this. Lift up the pillar
to the left which will be tossed into the lava. The
rupees are then pretty easy to grab. Open the door
and shoot the orb with a Light Arrow which will
destroy the Fire Barrier. 3 Barriers down, 3 to go.
Head to the Water Area.
This is more like the Ice Cavern than the Water
Temple. You need an empty bottle here. Kill
the Ice monsters which will open the door. Bottle
a Blue Flame and melt the ice. Bottle another flame
and open the door. You now have 2 blocks of ice.
Take the one furthest from the door and move it
into the hole. Keep in mind that you only have 2
minutes to finish this puzzle. Move the other block
into the small area before the wall of ice. Melt the
ice and hammer the rusted switch. There is a Fairy
in the jar in this room. Grab it and open the door.
Now shoot the orb with a Light Arrow.
Enter the Spirit Area. Again, you have to collect
the Silver Rupees. There is one above the Beamos'
head that you can Longshot to. Move the Armos'
to get the other Rupees without trouble. Enter the
door. Spin attack the crystal to get some more
Bombchus. Use one and send it through the hole
in the wall above the cage. It should go straight
and head right for the crystal, which will open the
door. Go through both doors. Shoot the Web ceiling
and Mirror the light to one of the Sun's. A wrong
move will send a Wallmaster. Open the door and
shoot the orb with a Light Arrow.
The Light Area is behind the pillar. Remove it and
enter. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal the enemies.
Do not open the chests. Kill the monsters and a
chest in the middle with a Key will be yours. Unlock
the door and play Zelda's Lullaby at the Triforce
symbol. This will drop another Key. Grab it and
unlock the door. Again, Silver Rupees. You have
1 minute to grab them all. Get the top one first
by Longshot to the top. Grab them while watching
for the boulders and the door will open. On the
other side is a fake orb room. Lens of Truth reveal
the door. Shoot the real orb with a Light Arrow.
With the Barrier now gone, you can enter the Tower.
Kill the Fire Keese and start going up the stairs.
Open the door and kill the 2 Dinolfos. Open the
door, climb the stairs, and kill the Stalfos to get
the Boss Key. Continue on up the stairs and into
a room with 2 Iron Knuckles. Kill them both and
continue up the stairs. Unlock the big door and go
right to the next door. Climb the stairs. Before you
enter the last door, equip the Hover Boots, Master
Sword, and the Light Arrows. Open the door and
you will see Zelda in her capsule above an organ
which Ganondorf is playing.
Ganondorf commands that Link and Zelda give
him the pieces. The dark power is so strong that
Navi cannot get close to Ganondorf. You are on
your own. This is just like the Phantom Ganon
battle. Run to a corner and Ganondorf will shoot
magic at Link. Hit it back to him and it will go back
and forth for a while. When he is hit, aim a Light
Arrow at him. When it hits him, run to the middle
and jump slash him a few times. When he awakens
run to a corner before he uses an Earthquake Punch.
Use the Blue Potion if you run out of magic. Continue
and Ganondorf should die out soon.
Ganondorf will die and the room will collaspe. Zelda
will then be released and the whole tower will start
to collapse. Zelda will lead the way down and open
the doors with her magic. Do not get in front of her,
or it will slow down. You have 3 Minutes to escape.
Hover Boots work good. From the first room, head
left and meet her at the door. Continue. Go past the
flaming rocks, outside, around, and back in. Zelda
will be surrounded by flames and Stalfos will attack.
Kokiri Boots here, and the Biggoron Sword. Kill
them and continue. Eventually, you will come to a
bridge with a ReDead. Avoid it if you can and go.
If you make it out alive, the Castle will collapse...
but you hear a sound. Go and see what it is. It is
Ganondorf, alive! He holds the Triforce of Power
and turns into the monster all Zelda fans love and
remember... Ganon. Ganon, with a swing of his
swords knocks the Master Sword out of Link's
hands and right beside Zelda, who is on the other
side of the arena of fire. Navi this time can fight
with Link. For a final boss, this is easy. Take the
Biggoron Sword or the Megaton Hammer. Run
under his legs, avoiding the attacks, target the tail
and jump slash it. Continue for a long while.
After a while, Ganon will fall, and so will the ring
of fire. Run and grab the Master Sword. You have
to finish the game with that sword. Run in back into
the arena and begin round two. Ganon will now
start to move faster. If you cannot get under his legs
and attack the tail in time, shoot him in the face with
a Light Arrow, then run under his legs and hit the
tail. Continue and eventually, he will fall to his knees.
Zelda will hold him down with her powers and ask
that Link finish him off. The Master Sword glows.
Run up to Ganon and slash him once. Link will
slash him many times and then stab him right in the
nose. Zelda, the 7th Sage, then commands the
other 6 Sages to seal Ganon in the Void of the
Evil Realm. Thus the game is over. Watch the movie,
and keep in mind what Ganondorf says at the end.
"As long as the Triforce of Power is in my hands..."
Perhaps it isn't over??? But the game sure is. Thanks
for reading. I hope this walkthrough has helped you
out like many of my others.
