The Spirit Medallion

Once you have your membership, go to the west
gate and talk to guard at the top of the gate tower.
She says that she will open the gates for Link to
pass, but, Link has to pass 2 trials to get into the
desert. One, the river of sand. He must cross a
quicksand river and follow the flags to the center
of the Haunted Wastelands, and the 2nd is the
Phantom Guide, which you need the eyes of truth
(or Lens of Truth) to see the guide. Pass the gate and
enter the Haunted Wastelands.
First things first. This is tricky at night, so if it is night,
play the Sun's Song and equip the Hover Boots.
Before you see the moving sand, step near the edge
and aim for one of the boxes on the other side of
the river of sand. This is the quickest way, unless
you wish to walk across with the Hover Boots. Now
you have to follow the flag's route. Visibility is near
zero at nighttime, so it had better be day for you.
Once you are at the well in the middle, go to the top
and use the Lens of Truth. Target the Poe Guide
and follow it, remembering not to remove the Lens.
After a while, you will arrive at Desert Colossus.
The first thing you should do is check out the 2 palm
trees on the right. There is a crack on the wall next
to it. Blow it up and inside is a Great Fairy who will
give Link the final and best spell, Nayru's Love,
which will come in handy very soon with its defensive
ability. Now enter the Spirit Temple. The only thing
in here for now are 2 signs. One that says to return
to the past with the heart of a child, and the other
says to return to the futrue with the power of silver
from the past. For now, you probably have no idea
what it means. Exit the Spirit Temple.
As you exit, Sheik will come out and talk to Link
for a bit. Then he teaches Link the Requiem of Spirit,
which will warp Link back to Desert Colossus any
time. Head back to the Temple of Time, place the
Master Sword in the pedistal of time, and come
back to Desert Colossus as Young Link. Enter the
Spirit Temple.
Once inside, head upstairs and go left. A woman
will be in your way. Talk to her and she will tell Link
about Ganondorf and how she will never bow to his
wicked ways. She asks Link to go inside the tiny
hole and get the Silver Gauntlets. Say yes. And by
the way, keep in mind that she is the 2nd in
command behind Ganondorf named Nabooru. Crawl
in the hole, kill the monsters, and take the left door.
This will be tough, as you have to fight a Stalfoe at
your little age. Fight it like you did the Lizalfos back
at Dodongo's Cavern, or try to push it off the edge.
Boomerang the crystal in the Stalfoe room to drop
the bridge. Open the door. Now, go up the middle,
avoiding the monster (which will be at the reverse
of you and cannot be destroyed by normal means).
Get to the reverse side of the door and hit the
Crystal with the Slingshot. A fire will appear before
the door, burn up the monster, and open the door. In
the next room is a Wallmaster. Kill it before it grabs
you. Kill the Fire Keese as well and collect the 5
Silver Rupees to drop the bridge to the other side of
the wall. Kill the Keese, light a Deku Stick and
light the torches to drop a Key. Exit.
Head through the little hole, unlock the door and
climb the wall after killing the Skulltulas. Hit the
switch at top to drop 2 treasures. One contains 10
Bombchus, which you will need. Kill the Lizalfos.
Navi will target a rock on a wall. Use a Bombchu
and send it towards the rock, which will destroy it
and release sunlight onto the sun symbol, thus
opening the door. Climb the stairs to the top. Light
a Deku Stick, then jump down to the bottom and
light the torches to reveal a Map. Grab it, climb
the rough wall, push the Statue over the edge onto
the button, and climb up the stairs to the door.
Follow the hallway and enter the room. There are
3 challenges that await you. 1. Collect the Silver
Rupees (make sure to kill the Beamos as well) to
light the main torch. 2. Light the other torches to
recieve a Key. And 3. Move the Sun Block into the
light to open the door. Go through the door. Make
sure you have Nayru's Love on hand, because you
WILL need it. Unlock the door and enter.
In this room, hit the statue to make it come to life,
and thus you face the toughest miniboss in the game,
the Iron Knuckle. One hit from it and it can take
about 4 Hearts away from you. Use Nayru's Love
first thing so that it cannot hurt you (but can still send
you flying). Get close to it and start using your jump
attacks (or this will take a while). After many jump
attacks, the armor will fall off, and it will speed up.
Keep going with it and reuse Nayru's Love if you
have to. Once it is dead, the door opens, and you
can grab the Silver Gauntlets outside (after talking
to that owl, which for some reason appears now).
Just as you grab the Gauntlets, Nabooru screams
for her life, as two witches capture her. Nabooru
tells Link to get out of there. Now, it is time for some
serious action. Head back to the Temple of Time
and pull the Master Sword. You now have the
Silver Gauntlets, and can now lift heavier things. Go
back to the Spirit Temple and push the block to the
right all the way into the hole. Kill the Beamos in
the room and Longshot the crystal above it to open
the doors. Take the left one and play Zelda's Lullaby
at the Triforce symbol to get the Compass.
Take the left door from where you Longshot the
crystal to enter the boulder room. You have to
collect the Silver Rupees here. Check each safe
hole, for the rupees. Once you have them all, the
door opens which leads to a Key. Grab it and head
back to the Beamos room and unlock the door. Go
down the hallway and climb the wall.
This room is not too tough. Push the mirror
clockwise. The first 2 drop chest the the ground, the
3rd opens the door. Do not place it on the 4th or
else a Wallmaster will come and attack. Go through
the door and you will be in the same big room with
the Map that you were in as a kid. With the Hover
Boots, fall down to the hand with the Triforce
symbol. Play Zelda's Lullaby and a chest will fall onto
the other hand. Longshot over and grab the Key.
Head back up the stairs and unlock the door. Kill
the Beamos and continue.
Remember these things? It can get more complicated
here, but I just shoot them with a Fire Arrow or
use Din's Fire. That will kill them quickly. Kill all
3 of them and the Beamos and go through the door.
Now you have a blue button and 4 live Armos. You
have to make the come alive to and have one press
the blue button to open the door to the right. Follow
the stairwell and there will be a room with another
Iron Knuckle. This one is a bit easier, though Nayru's
Love is still good to use. A few jump attacks with
the Biggoron Sword and he was toast. Exit out the
door and grab the Mirror Shield.
Now head back to the Armos room. Go to where
the sunlight shows. Mirror it to the sun symbol to
open the door to the Key. Grab it and head back
to the room before the Armos room. Unlock the
door. Kill the Beamos and Longshot your way to
the highest rough wall (preventing you from the
tough task of climbing the revolving wall). Go through
the door. Play Zelda's Lullaby at the Triforce to open
the door. Kill the Torch Slugs and check behind
each false door for a switch. Shoot the switch to
reveal a platform below the hookshot target. Target
it and jump over to the button. Grab the Boss Key.
Go back out and take a right. Hit the switch beyond
the gate and go through the door. Go around to the
mirror and blow up the false wall (test with the sword
for weird sound. Reflect the light to the mirror in the
next room, and the mirror in the main room. Go
back and mirror the light to the sun symbol to lower
the platform. Once it is down, Mirror the Light to the
face of the statue to destroy the face. Longshot over
to the big door and unlock it. You will then meet
the two witches, who make a much better Iron
Knuckle attack Link. Defeat it the same way and
it will reveal to be Nabooru!
The witches then capture Nabooru again and
disappear. Go through the door behind the throne
and to the boss room. Climb the wall to the arena
and the fight begins. Get the Mirror Shield and
when one sister uses magic, deflect it to the opposite
sister. Do not target either one, or else you cannot
aim where it is going. Keep it up and they will soon
combine their powers into 1.
This one is easier. Target Twinrova and hold the shield
up. The magic she shoots will be absorbed. It will either
be ice or fire. You have to get 3 in a row of the same
element and it will shoot back to her. If you get hit with
the opposite element, you will get hit and lose the
shield's power. When the magic returns to her, run over
and jump slash her. Continue and she will eventually
die out. The 2 sisters will split again and prepare for
another attack, but just then, the light comes and they
go into the heavens, arguing with each other (a pretty
funny scene). Grab the Heart and take the warp.
You will arrive at the Chamber of Sages. At the
orange platform arises Nabooru as the Sage of
Spirit. Instead of keeping the promise she made
back 7 years ago, she gives Link the Medallion. Just
then, Rauru says that the final showdown is about
to begin, but Link must return to the Temple of Time
to meet somebody there. Warp there. The one
waiting there is Sheik. He tells the final legend of the
Triforce, and says that since Ganondorf did not
have a balance of Power, Wisdom, and Courage,
that the Triforce split. The Triforce of Courage is
held by Link, Power is Ganondorf's, Wisdom is...
As Sheik holds up his hand, he reveals that the Triforce
of Wisdom is his... or her's as he turns into Princess
Zelda, who is the 7th sage. She relives the day she gave
Link the Ocarina of Time running from Ganondorf. She
talks about the plan a bit, and then gives Link the Light
Arrow. Just then, Ganondorf's voice is heard and Zelda
is captured by him. Ganondorf's only mistake he says
was underestimating the power of the Triforce of
Courage. He challenges Link to come to his Castle.
