If you travel Zora's River, you will notice some snow
near the end. That is because Zora's Domain is
totally frozen solid. Even King Zora is fronzen
(unless you took the Biggoron Sword sidequest).
Head to Zora's Fountain. Go on the iceburgs and
start hopping left to the ledge which is the Ice
Cavern. Now prepare yourself, because this is the
longest step in the whole game. |

The Ice Carvern is pretty small, but does contain
a Map, Compass, and a Treasure. Go in a ways and
kill the Freezzards (Din's Fire will wipe them out).
Kill them and the door will open. Go in a ways and
you will be in a room with a spinning Ice Blade and
5 Silver Rupees. Collect all 5 of them and the door
        will open. |
          |

          |
You are now in a room with Ice Keese and
Freezzards. Kill the Ice Keese first with an Arrow,
or else they will drain your life when they hit you.
You will see a wierd blue flame. This can be bottled
and used to thaw out red ice. Thaw out the big red
ice in the room to get the chest. Then, take and bottle
another and head back to Zora's Domain and thaw
out King Zora (who will give you Zora's Tunic).
Equip the Tunic and head back. Bottle another flame.
Head back to the spinning Ice Blade and use the
flame on the ice wall to the left of where you are
        now. |

Bottle the Blue Flame and use it on the chest to
get the Compass. You can also get a Heartpiece
here as well. Bottle a Flame and head back to the
Spinning Ice Blade and go across the room. Use
the flame on the Ice Wall and continue. |
          |

          |
You will now be in another room with Silver Rupees.
You have to move the block a bit. Once pushed, it
will slide. 4 rupees are easy to find, but the 4th one
is surrounded by red ice in the North area. Grab 2
Blue Flames and thaw out the ice to grab the 5th
rupee and open the door. Push the block to the
south area and continue on. Further along, there is
a wall of ice. Melt it with the Blue Flame and go
        through the door. |

Fight the White Wolfos. It is pretty easy. When it
is dead, it leaves the Iron Boots. After you get the
Iron Boots, Sheik appears again. He will tell Link
about rescuing the Zora Princess, who ran off to
the Water Temple in Lake Hylia. He then teaches
Link the Serenade of Water, which will teleport him
to Lake Hylia. Get out of the Ice Cavern and warp
        to Lake Hylia. |
          |

          |
Equip the Iron Boots and go to the bottom of what
is left of the lake. Using the only weapon you can
use underwater (the Hookshot), target that blue
switch above the door and hit it. The gate to the
Water Temple will then open. Go through, and
prepare for a long ride. |

First off, remove the Iron Boots to float to the
surface of the temple. Go in a ways and sink down
to the bottom of the temple with the Iron Boots.
Go right from the bottom and take that path (it is
marked by 2 torches). Go in a ways and Link will
run into Princess Ruto. She will tell Link that he has
to help her save the Zoras. There are 3 places in the
temple that Link can use to change the water level.
She leads the way to one of them by going up.
Remove the Iron Boots and follow her (she will
not be seen after this). Float to the top, open the
door, kill the spikes, and grab the Map. |
          |

          |
After getting the Map, go back out and look for a
place with the Triforce symbol on the wall. Play
Zelda's Lullabye here to lower the water level all the
way to the first floor. Jump back down to the first
floor. Light the two unlit torches by shooting the
arrows through the fire (or use Din's Fire). The door
will open. Go in, kill the Shell Blades, and take the
Key. Head back to the middle room and take the
west path (straight across from where you are).
Push the block into the water, put on the Iron Boots
and go after it. Walk the path as far as you can and
        float to the top. |

Slash the crystal to raise the gyser which you can
cross. Open the door and sink into the tank with
the serpent head with the Crystal. Get on the 'tail' of
the serpent and Hookshot the crystal to open the
gate. Quickly remove the Iron Boots and head
to the gate and float to the surface. Grab the Key,
equip the Iron Boots, slash the crystal, and sink
down and run through the gate before the Shell
Blades get at you. Now head back to where you
pushed the block in and Hookshot your way back
        to the top. |
          |

          |
Unlock the door to the center tower and enter.
Hookshot up and play Zelda's Lullabye at the
Triforce Slate to raise the water level. One of the
blocks will raise up next to where you are. Equip
the Iron Boots and sink down to where it was. You
will notice a hole. Go down it and continue. You
will find a room with a crystal. If you look above,
there are 2 gates, one above the crystal (containing
monsters) and one to the other side of it. Use the
Hookshot from the other side to hit the crystal, which
will release the monsters. Kill the monsters with the
Hookshot to open the other gate. |

Float to the top and grab the Key. Now head back
to the center tower and exit through the door. Put
on the Iron Boots and sink down to the first floor.
Head to the east path (to where you met Ruto), and
float to the surface. There will be a wall with a large
crack in it. Blow it up, grab the Key from inside, and
go back to the center room on the 2nd floor. Unlock
the door on the west side. Get near the water column
and let the Blue Tektile come down. Kill it, stand
on the column and hookshot the crystal to raise the
water. Exit through the door and play Zelda's
Lullaby to raise the water to the top floor. |
          |

          |
Head over to the east side. Go in a ways and sink
down to the bottom. Follow along until you come
to a block. Pull it back to the end and go back to
the center room on the 2nd floor. Head to the East
Side (still wearing the Iron Boots, because the 2nd
floor is under water). Go along, kill the monsters,
and hookshot up to the surface. Get near the water
column and shoot the Crystal with an Arrow and
quickly grab the Compass. Now head back to the
West side of the 3rd floor and unlock the door. |

You will now be in a room with a waterfall and a
bunch of platforms going down from it. Get on the
bottom, elevating platform on your side, wait for it
to get on the bottom, then jump to the stationary
platform on the other side. Now hookshot up the
waterfall to the top and unlock the door. You will
be in a room with a crystal and statues that go with
the level of the water. Jump in the water with the
Iron Boots and make your way to the Hookshot
target on the other side. Climb over the statue,
shoot the crystal, Hookshot over to the other side,
lower the water, climb the statue, and hit the crystal. |
          |

          |
Kill the tektiles and Like Like at the top. Hookshot
over the spikes and open the door. You will be in a
big area with a lone tree. Pass it and look to the
other side to see Dark Link (ah! Zelda II revisited!)
This monster knows your every move, that is, as
long as you are using the Master Sword. To make
this fight quick, use the Megaton Hammer, or the
Biggoron Sword. It cannot block the Megaton
Hammer attack, but stabbing it with the Biggoron
Sword will make the fight quicker. Once defeated,
the doors will open. Go through the other door and
        grab the Longshot. |

Behind the chest with the Longshot is a Block of
Time. Play the Song of Time to remove it. Jump
down. You will now be in serpent river (as I call it).
Swim down and after you clear the first corner of
the river (first whirlpool), equip the Iron Boots and
make your way through the river. The whirlpools
can swallow you, so be very quick. If you get stuck
in one, try running, then removing the Iron Boots
then swim to safety. Near the end, there is a ledge
and an eye. Shoot the eye, which will open the gate.
Then quickly Longshot over to the chest with a Key
        past the gate. |
          |

          |
Go through the door. You will be in the room with
the serpent and the crystal in its mouth. Head back
to the center room, down the floor one, and to
where you met Ruto. Lower the water level (float
to the top) to the bottom. Longshot your way to the
top. Head to the south side. Shoot the eye to open
the gate and Longshot across the area past the gate.
If you make it in time, you can go follow along to
where you moved that block. Push it forward and go
right to get a Key. Head back to the center room
and to the first floor. Go to the north end and sink
        down to the bottom. |

Go a ways in and Longshot the the surface, and over
the spikes to the locked door. Unlock it and on the
other side, shoot all of the tektiles dead. Swim across
to the other side. Open the door and kill the stingers.
There are 2 walls that can be blown up. Blow them
up. Go to the side where there is no gap in the floors
and push the block inside the blown up area to the
other side. Return to the gapped floor side and pull
the block out far enough so that you can go around
and push it into the gap, which will push the button
and raise the water level. Go up and open the door.
Push the button and jump across the water columns. |
          |

          |
Open the door and you will be where the boulders
drop off. Go right and sink down. Kill the Shell
Blade and float up. Unlock the door and grab the
Boss Key. Now head back to the center room.
Raise the water level back up to the 3rd floor (look
back if you forgot). Once the water is up, go to the
north side and Longshot over to the neck of the
statue and open the door. This next room is tough,
with spikes going back and forth and a steep hill
to climb. Pick a side and when the closest spike hits
the wall, start walking. You should be able to make it
to the top. Open the big door. |

Navi will warn Link that the water is not ordinary
water. Jump to one of the islands and the Boss,
Morpha will show up. This battle is easy, as long
as you do not get too close to it. Head to the outside
land and target it. Try to real it in with the Longshot.
If you get it, attack it quickly. If the water's arm
gets to you, it will shake you around and throw you
into a wall. Not good for your health. Keep going
after the nucleus and attacking it until you kill it.
The water will disappear slowly and will leave Link
with a Heart and a warp point. |
          |

          |
After you warp out, you will arrive at the Chamber
of Sages, where Ruto stands at the blue platform as
the Sage of water, thus having to cancel their
marriage (ah, how sad). She says that she feels that
Zelda is still alive. She gives Link the Water
Medallion and tells Link to tell Sheik that she thanks
him. You warp outside the Water Temple. The water
from the Lake refills and Sheik is there waiting. He
talks a bit and then disappears, and dives into the
        water. |

The only thing left here is the Fire Arrow. Stand
on the plaque on the island above the Water Temple
and shoot the sun. The arrow will soar to the sun
and will come back down as a Fire Arrow. Run
over to the goalpost island and grab it. |
          |
