|
When you are at Zora's River, you will meet that
owl again. After that, blow up the rocks and make
your way to the end of the river. Not too tough.
Also, there is a Magic Bean salesman here. They
can come in handy later. |
Once at the end, you will notice a plaque. Play
Zelda's Lullabye, and the entrance to Zora's
Domain will open. Jump across and enter the
Domain. |
|
|
First things first, go up the long stairways and talk
to King Zora. He will just talk about his missing
daughter. Nothing you can do just yet. Go left from
King Zora and talk to the guy on top of the waterfall.
Play the game, dive off the waterfall, and collect all
of the rupees. If you do it before time runs out, you
will get a Silver Scale, which you DO need to
continue. |
Once you have the Silver Scale, dive under into
that little cave (as seen in the pic). You will warp
to Lake Hylia. There, near one of the pillars, is
a bottle with a letter inside. The letter is from Zora's
daughter, Ruto. She says that she is inside Lord
Jabu-Jabu's belly, and not to tell her father. Bring
the letter to King Zora, and he will let Link into
Zora's Fountain. Before going, however, go back to
the bottom and catch some Fish (you should see
some swimming around). After you have the Fish,
go to Zora's Fountain. |
|
|
There is not much here for now (besides Jabu-Jabu).
There is, however, a Great Fairy Fountain to the
right of Jabu Jabu (a gray rock indicated an false
wall. The Great Fairy gives Link Farore's Wind,
which is a Warp Spell. Anyways, go do Jabu-Jabu.
Use the Fish in front of him and he will open up,
swallow the Fish, and Link! |
Destroy the Octoroks and then aim up to the
ubula-like switch. Use the Slingshot and the door
will open. On the other side, watch out for the
Biris. Do not touch them or else they will send a
shock through Link. Follow the path to the other
side of the room (do not fall down the hole). Open
the door. |
|
|
Move in a little bit and you will see a room with a
lot of holes and the Zora Princess, Ruto. She will
talk and then tell Link to go home. She then turns
around and falls into a hole. Follow her down the
hole then talk to her twice. After the 2nd time, you
can carry her, but you cannot exit the dungeon. Pick
her up and go out the door near where you are. |
Cut through the path of Shaboms and into the
shallow waters. Throw Ruto to the other side and
defeat the monsters in the water. Step on the switch
and rise the water. Go to Ruto, pick her up, and
continue on. Near the end is another ubula switch.
Hit it with the Slingshot again to open the door. Kill
the Octorok in the next room and jump onto the
elevating platform and ride up. You will be in the
same room where you met the first Biri. Go back
to the room where you met Ruto and open the
door on the other side. |
|
|
You now have 3 choices. North, West, or East.
You also have to worry about the Tailpasarans.
Like the Biri, they sting. Take the East path and
press on the Yellow button at the end (which you
do need a 2 person weight to push down). Go
through the door. Set down Ruto and kill the
Stingers in there with the Slingshot. Kill all of them
and you will get the Boomerang. Now go back and
take the West path to the Blue Button. Jump on it
and leave Ruto on it to weigh it down. Enter the
door. |
You will see a large swinging tentacle. Target it
and get near it (but not too near). Throw your new
Boomerang at it and it will retract into the ceiling.
Get close again and it will come back down and
try to attack. Continue throwing the Boomerang
until it dies and leaves the Map. Take it and go back
outside. Ruto will give Link a lecture. Now go back
to the East side and take the path branching off.
Navi will say that the Large Tentacle is gone (you
have defeated the main one. Go through the door. |
|
|
Defeat that Tentacle the very same way. Grab Ruto
and head to the North Path from the 3 way fork.
Now you have to defeat the Tentacle and some
Biris. Biris are no longer feared because you have
the Boomerang. Kill them, pick up Ruto, and head
back to the West path and the branch off from the
West room. Kill the Shaboms in 40 seconds or
less (with the Boomerang) and recieve the Compass.
Now head back to the room where you met
Ruto. |
There used to be a Large Tentacle in the Northwest
corner, but since you defeated it, the hole is now
open. Jump down it and take the door right next
to where you land. You will now be where the
Zora's Sapphire is. Throw Ruto onto the ledge
where it is and she will grab it. She then demands
that Link take her home. Get close and just then, the
platform lifts up and come back down, but not
with Ruto, but with Bigocto! |
|
|
This fight is not easy. Bigocto is very quick. Target
him and stun him with the Boomerang while he
moves towards you. Back up a bit and wait for
him to get un-stunned. He will now either run the
other way or the same way. If he runs the same way,
hit him again, back up and wait. If he runs the
other way, hit him with the Boomerang quickly. A
green spot will show up. Hit it with the Sword.
Repeat a few times and it will die and the platform
will lower again. Jump on it and it will raise up. Kill
the Biris and go out the door. |
This part is a bit tricky, and you need to be fast.
First, kill the Octorok in the water. Go back up
and the platform will start to move. Hit it with the
Boomerang. It will freeze. Jump on it and do the
same with the other one, quickly. Jump across to the
door. You will then be above the room where
you first met the Biri, and where you elevated from
the basement. Jump to the other platform and it will
lower to the main floor. Grab a box and run back
over and place it on the switch. The door will open. |
|
|
Kill the Biris and clim the wall. Now you will have
a web in front of you to prevent you from hitting the
ubula switch. Use the Boomerang to hit the switch
that will open the door to the Boss' lair. Once in,
a bunch of jellyfish will come together and form an
armor for the boss, Barinade. |
Make sure you have a few bottles of Milk, even
if you only have 5 hearts total. Make sure to keep
moving while you target the 3 support tentacles and
hit it with the Boomerang. It will then let go and
release the armor. Target the center with the
Boomerang. It will freeze long enough for you to hit
the jellyfish with the Boomerang. After killing the
Jellyfish, Barinade will release the closer armor. Do
the same thing and then all that is left is the body.
Keep moving and hit it with the Boomerang. Then
do some jump attacks on it. Continue and it should
pimple up and die out. |
|
|
Grab the Heart and then go to the portal where
Ruto is waiting. Once outside, she flirts with Link
and then decides to give him Zora's Engagment Ring,
(aka Zora's Sapphire). Just be afraid and glad that
you got all 3 Stones. Take this time to get any
missed Skulltulas or anything that you can get. Also
make sure to make a Scarecrow's Song at Lake
Hylia. And also be sure to plant Beans at Death
Mountain (before Cavern Entrance) in the Lost
Woods (near bridge skull kid) and in Zora's River
(where the guy sells his beans). When you are ready,
go to Hyrule Castle. |
When you arrive, the gates will open. A white horse
gallops out an on it are Impa and Zelda. Zelda sees
Link and throws something into the castle moat.
When Link turns around, he sees Ganondorf (just
like in the opening dream). See the scene and when
you have control again, dive into where the object
landed. It is the Ocarina of Time! Zelda then comes
to Link in a vision and teaches Link the Song of
Time, which can open the Door of Time. She then
says that only Link can save the Triforce. |
|
|
Go to the Temple of Time. In front of the Alter, play
the Song of Time. The Stones will land on the Alter
and the Door of Time will open. Enter and there will
be a huge room with one thing in the middle. The
Master Sword. Go up to it and pull it. Link is then
engulfed in light and Ganondorf appears. He thanks
Link for opening the door for him and letting him
have the Triforce. Looks like you are in some kind
of trouble. |
