Lizardman King

Note: All artifacts in the 'Artifact Drop' list with a asterix next to it can only be received in that level by beating the boss.
It cannot be found naturally within that level.
Also note that just because you receive (for example) 140+ points, doesn't mean you'll get the Artifact set that requires 139+ points. You may get the 102+ points artifact set or less. You just simply meet the requirements for that particular set to appear.

Strategy

The Lizardman King is slightly less dangerous than his minions and is effectively one of the easier bosses in the game due to his insanely slow speed. Most of his attacks are close-range and thus easily avoided. Some of its attacks include:

Impale SpikeGet close enough to the King and he'll rear back his left arm to jab you with a long-reaching spike. The attack can be easily seen and just as easily avoided. Step to the side and keep attacking.
Spike TwirlIf he doesn't try to jab you with his sharp spike, he'll twirl around with all his spiked armor extended, both stunning you and throwing you back away from him. This one is harder to predict and avoid as easily, so either take a chance or stay back.
Arrow CatapultSometimes if the King feels you're too far away, he'll step back and raise his arrow cannon arm up and launch five arrow missiles your way. They spread out as they fly to make them harder to avoid, so be deft and get inbetween the arrows.
Spinning SawsNot really an attack of the King himself, but of his minions. There are various switches in the arena which trigger spinning saws to come up from the ground and surge across the arena damaging anything in the arena, even the King himself! When you see these coming for you, simply side-step and continuing attacking the King.

Later Cycles: On cycle 2, the King will add a Fire spell to his arsenal to obliterate you. Having half defense is not a good thing in this battle, so avoid the spell at all costs. In cycle 3, his reaction time will finally be sped up a bit and he'll start casting a new Blizzara spell that will freeze anything it hits. The cohorts will also be more fruitful and come out of the woodwork more often. Keep on your toes during the third cycle!
