The tree's name is Lilaty, apparently. Talk to people, and receive the  Truth Fire and  Angel's Bell. By now you should have gathered some information about an Ice Cave, and how demons are surpressing the nymphs there. Talk to the liar in the village with the Truth Fire equipped, and he will hand you the  Fur Mantle. Equip it, and go to the Gnome Plain to the north of the village. Nothing here except the entrance to the Ice Cave to your left.

Within Ice Cave, if you do not equip the Fur Mantle, your HP goes down rather quickly, so never be without it. The enemies here are immune to water magic, even the Star Staff level spells, so use fire spells instead. There are also crevices which you can fall into, so be careful not to step into them accidentally. Find the  Elixir in a chest in the north. There's also 350 gold in a chest near the east. As you make your way northward, there should be several gaps that are difficult to manage. If you cut east, you will find an item called  Bright Stone, which fully restores your MP when used. Head back west and makes your way to the boss door, preparing yourself to fight Thimale.

After defeating Thimale, you'll get a  Life Ball. Then equip the Angel's Bell, and head north into the next room. Use the item, and three nymphs will appear. One of them will give you the  Moon Staff and then you will be sent to Phantom Hill.

Prepare to do a lot of ladder climbing. Keep to the east as much as you can, and you should be fine. When you reach a plateau with a small hole in the ground, then you know you've hit the right place. Charge up your MP, save, and prepare to face Ella.

After you defeat Ella, exit the cave, and a ladder will stretch up to the next plateau. Climb it, and jump to a cliff to the east. You'll see Zerah. He'll talk a bit, and then Mathias will arrive to stop him. There will be a short but sweet Gandalf meets Merlin kind of duel, and they'll both collapse on the floor. Zerah will escape. Mathias then tells you about your past. It turns out that both you and Thor are demigods, children of the gods of Light and Darkness, respectively. He wants you to stop Zerah, and gives you the  Thunder Crystal. Then, he says "Puff!" and somehow blows you onto a cloud.

Be VERY careful and save often on the clouds, because one misjudge of the distance will cause you to fall to your death. Hop from cloud to cloud, progressing north, until you can see a land strip. Go to the edge of that last cloud, and jump north to go to Lagoon Castle.
