Outside of the castle, step on the block you see as you make your way north. It will say:

When the moon light comes
into the castle's terrace,
hold the Moon Stone - a drop
of the moon - to the sky.

Power will be give only to
the person who controls the
power of Light, and the Moon
Blade will be created.

So basically, all that was to tell you to use the Moon Stone item at a place with light. Into the castle we go!

On the first floor, just kill some enemies, get experience, test out your new magic stone, etc. Proceed to the second floor by the staircase to the northwest.

Once on the second floor there will be new enemies. Head east, cut south, and you will find a chest containing a  Statue. Go back north and you will notice a doorway. Head into it to go to a place east of Silence Terrace. Go west, south, and then north from here for a chest containing 350 gold or a  Bright Stone, depending on whether you still have your original Bright Stone. From here keep going west as far as you can, to reach Silence Terrace itself. You will immediately notice a patch of light. Remember the poem? Use the moon stone while standing in the light to receive the  Moon Blade from what we assume to be the deity of Light.

Now that you're done here, head up to the next floor through the entrance to the south. The floorboards on the third floor of Lagoon Castle should be purple. You will see a treasure chest then, with 350 gold in it. Continue east, and then go northwest for the entrance to the fourth floor.

On the fourth floor there will be some Giants hanging around. You can leave now and head back if you want, but the Giants are good experience. Anyway, go back to the previous floor, and head southeast until you come across the chest with the  Moon Shield in it. Now, go ALL the way east until you go to the next screen. In a chest in that screen is the  Curing Ring. If you continue all the way southwest you will also find an Elixir. Now, from where you got the Curing Ring go north and follow the path until you see a doorway. Go through it, and you'll see Princess Felicia trapped behind a mirror. Stand on the two-sword tile, and equip the Statue. Use it to break the princess out. She will warn you that Zerah and Thor have found the basement to this castle. Now you have to hurry and stop them. Go through the mirror behind her to go to the fifth floor of Lagoon Castle.

On this floor go to the northeast corner for the  Moon Armor. Now head southwest for a doorway, and continue down the corridor to fight Battler.

After you defeat battler, go out the back door. You will see a little island. Save. Jump for the island, and if you miss, you'll fall to your doom.

In the house on the island there will be an old man who tells you to hurry. There are two teleportation spots on the island. The one on the bottom left is to get back to Lagoon Castle, fifth floor. The top left one is to the basement of Lagoon Castle.

Head into the basement, and try to avoid most of the enemies. Equip the Curing Ring if your HP gets low. Go south and then head west through some caves (they may be hard to see) and then north for the  Time Ring in a chest. Next, just keep walking south and west until you cannot anymore, and then walk north to see a pair of double doors marked off with Xs on each door. In it is, of course, a boss. It is none other than the Evil Spirit (Green). Of course, save before you go in, as you cannot get out again.

After fighting the Evil Spirit (Green) you will get to fight Zerah. Fun. He'll tell you all about reviving the Evil Spirit with Thor's power, and then get Thor to sic you after you kill him. You can then do nothing but fight Thor with no pausing in between.

After you defeat Thor you'll see him lying on the floor. He will say how he's sorry he tried to destroy the world and all, and hopes you'll forgive him. He gives you  Thor's Pendant before he does a final ninja vanishing trick. Now he's inside the pendant, and talking to you. Defeat that evil spirit!

Go back into the previous room to face Evil Spirit (Red).

After you do that, someone (I'm thinking either Mathias or the deity of Light) will congratulate you. Then there will be a little scene showing you remembering Thor and falling in love with Princess Felicia.
