Gems
In this game, there are three magic types: Fire, Ice and Lightning. Like most RPGs, different enemies may be weak or resistant to specific magic types. You can view the enemy section to see which magic type of magic is most effective on which enemies. Selecting the magic type at the beginning of each round of battle determines what type of magic you will use if you get any magic icons on the reel. When landing on a magic icon, a random gem of that type in your inventory will be used. Alternatively, your Quartz, Crystal or Diamond may be used, as these can be any element.
Each gem has a specific power. Generally, the higher the number, the more powerful the gem is. Also, using magic attacks uses up your HP (keep in mind that each "orb" of magic stands for 30 MP). Once you find the Amulet, though, you will only consume half the MP you normally would.
Keep in mind that you can sell gems for half their selling price.
Omni-Elemental
You will always have exactly one of these three gems. They are received during the course of the game and cannot be sold or discarded. They can be used in any type of magic.
