Enemies
-Enemies behave a bit differently in this game than most RPGs. First, there are no random battles. All battles are initiated by talking to the enemy. Note that the enemies' battle sprites are usually completely different than their overworld sprite.
-Some of the enemies are actually characters from the various manga, even though their battle sprites look nothing like the actual characters. Supposedly, these guys are possessed by the bad guys of the game, hence their strange appearance. Generally, these battles are mandatory, and can only be fought once.
-Once the battle starts, you can almost always run away at any time with a 100% success rate. Exceptions to this rule are listed below (Waruji, Kaseet and Rakira).
-Enemies always have the same maximum HP as your character, therefore in the first chapter, their max HP is 90, in the second chapter it's 120, etc.
-Certain enemies are weaker to one magic type, or may be immune to specific magic types. These weaknesses and immunities seem to be determined by the enemy's battle sprite.
-Also, each enemy drops (or doesn't drop) a specific thing... usually Peach or a food item. This is determined by the specific enemy, NOT by its battle sprite.
-Also, certain enemies will respawn when you leave the screen, allowing you to battle them again, while others are gone forever when they're defeated. This information is listed in the proceeding table.
-As for enemy behavior, all they do is attack. Some may have attacks with special names (again, Waruji, Kaseet and Rakira), but still, all they do is attack. Therefore, enemy behavior is not listed here.
-Each chapter has exactly one "enemy" known as the God of Happiness. When you talk to this guy, he just gives you something (food or Peach), then sends you on your way. If you don't have room in your inventory for the food he provides, he will give 500 Peach instead.
-Also, some chapters have a "poor guy". If you engage battle with him, just run away, since this battle never yields a prize, and he can actually steal food from you.
-Finally, one enemy seems to have been dummied out of the game as far as I can tell. Here's what it would have looked like:
