The first thing on the list is to find the mirror
that the old man in Hastings talked about. Go right
to this spot and use the Seek option to recieve
Titania's Mirror. Use it outside when there are no
maps, but remember that after a battle, you have
to reuse it again. Warp to Swaffham. |
|
|
Go to the ruined Weapon Shop and search this
area. Rafael's Stick will be found and recieved. This
item removes curses, which is perfect for the Ultra
Strength or Invincibility tricks. Warp to Malaga. |
Go to the rude item shop man and he will explain his
actions. He says that he took Erik's sword to make
the [drumroll] Sword of Vermilion (like
you didn't
know what the most powerful weapon in the game
was going to be). He says that he was rude because
of the Cartahenan Spies. Take the Sword of
Vermilion and equip it (unless you have Super
Strength and are not quite at level 31 yet). Warp
or walk to Barrow. |
|
|
In Barrow, go to the woman at the right of the church
and go to the right of her. Walk right into the woods
and eventually you will come out at Uncle Tibor's
house. Pay him 50,000 Kim for a Pass to
Cartahena. Warp back to Hastings for a rest and
a save. Now it is time to go to Cartahena. |
The road is long, and painful. If you level up along
the way, you are lucky. Refer to the
World of Vermilion map
for the road to Cartahena.
After a long road, it gets even longer with this spiral
road. Enter Cartahena. |
|
|
The music to this town rocks. Everybody but the
sole guard is turned to stone. There is one man in the
first house you pass that has hidden from Tsarkon.
Go to the castle and confront the Tsarkon. But, it
seems that he is gone to the Cave of Thule (or Thule
Cave, whatever). This minister then says that he is
to give Erik a gift, Cartahena as his grave... |
Erik is then put into another fight with an
Archmonster, the Gold Dragon. This one hurts a lot
worse than the Blue Dragon (duh!) but he is still
pretty easy to beat. Remember to wait until it picks
up its head, then run in for the swing, and then back
up. Go until it dies. When it does, it will leave
30,000 Kim and 25,000 Exp. Talk to him again
and he will say that Erik will never beat Tsarkon. |
|
|
Your last hope comes from this man in the first
house who is hiding. He says that he stole the Key
to the Cave of Thule. He gives it to Erik. If you are
at level 31, you can use the Invincibility
Trick and
Ultra Strength Trick now
without any penalties. If
you do it or not, the next part is it. The final zone. |
This is the most annoying part of the game. The road
to Thule is long, and just keeps weaving back and
forth. Once you reach the Cave of Thule, you still
have a lot more to go. |
|
|
The first thing that you want to look for is the one
and only Mirror of Atlas. This mirror can only be
used once, but it reveals every map in the game,
perminatly. To get there, use the Thule Key to open
the door. Turn around the corner and go straight and
take the turn to the stairs. At the 2nd floor, turn
around and go right at the fork to the other stairs.
Follow to the fork on the 3rd floor and go right. It is
right around the corner. Use it and it will disappear.
For a complete map of the Cave
of Thule, click the
link. Take the stairs at the far right. |
After taking another set of stairs to end up at the
first floor, go here. This looks like the girl Erik
fought when in Stow, but is actually the woman who
poisoned Erik. Talk to her and she will say that after
she is through, Erik will wish that the poison she gave
him would have killed him. |
|
|
She then turns into the Red Dragon. Dragon fights
are so easy. Use the same strategy with the Gold
and Blue Dragons to kill this one. Even though the
fight is easy, she still hurts. When it dies, it will
leave
30,000 Kim and 25,000 Exp. Open the chest and
grab the Bronze Key. |
In this chest behind the door is the 'real' Ring of
Earth. Make your way back to the entrance. Take
the same stairs you took the first time when first
entering. At the 2nd floor though, instead of going
right, go left and take the stairs. At the 3rd floor, at
the fork, go left for the Secret Armor, and right for
stairs. |
|
|
After taking another set of stairs, you will end up
here. This man is Thar, from Malaga. He says that
he has asked Tsarkon to turn him into a monster, and
the results are shown as... |
Quite possibly your worst nightmare. Remember
this one? More importantly, remember how to kill
this one? Just remember: Right-Up-Duck,
Left-Down-Slash. Make your way for it and when
you get close enough, slash away at it. Its right hand
will go quickly and then go for the rest of it. This
one hurts quite a bit, so watch out. When it dies, it
leaves 35,000 Kim and 35,000 Exp. Open the chest
and grab the Silver Key. |
|
|
This chest behind this locked door contains the
Ring of Sun. Make your way back to the entrance
again. |
Go here next. You will run into Luther. He says that
he lead the army that destroyed Swaffham. He says
that after he kills Erik, he will go after Wyclif. |
|
|
The Red Cyclops is even stronger than the first. Do
the same thing you did before to kill it. It shouldn't
take too long to kill it, but this one can takes its
toll.
Remember to back up when its lips move and hand
moves back. Its right hand will go first, followed by
its left. When it dies, it leaves 25,000 Kim and
30,000 Exp. Open the chest and grab the Gold Key.
If you are running out of room, remember to keep
the Pass to Cartahena, Thule, Bronze, Silver, and
Gold Keys. |
After opening the door, the Ring of Power lies in
this
chest. Now it is time to go after Tsarkon. In this
area, go to the upper left stairs. At the 2nd floor, go
straight to the other stairs. At the 3rd floor, go right
at the fork and take the stairs up. At the 2nd floor,
go straight forward and the rest should be easy.
Unlock each door with one of the keys, Bronze first,
Sliver second, and Gold third. |
|
|
The moment we have all been waiting for. Player,
meet Tsarkon. He tell Erik a lot of lies and will ask
him to join him. Say no twice and prepare to fight. |
This part is quite easy. Just hack through the
Skeletons to get to Tsarkon. Slash a few times and
he will die... or will he? |
|
|
When the first from dies, back up to the left again,
for he breaks through the floor and becomes a
2-headed monster. This boss is the toughest you
will face. You have to get close to its heads in order
to kill it. There are 4 parts to each head. If you get
too close, it will shoot fire at you. Back away when
one stops moving and then attack after the shot. This
fight may take a while, so take it slow and be careful
not to get killed. Once it is dead, take a breath of
relief and settle down. |
