Wycliff to Parma

The first thing that you will hear is that Blade is dying.
Most doors will be locked at this time. Go to Blade's
house in the upper left hand corner.
Upon arrival, Blade will tell you everything about
Erik's father and Excalabria. He also talks about
the Ring of Wisdom in a cave near town. Before he
dies, he gives Erik 200 Kim (Kim is the currancy of
money in Vermilion).
This man has a map to the cave south of here, the
Peak Cave. Always make sure to get maps before
going anywhere.
In the Equipment shop near the gate of town,
buy a Bronze Sword and a Small Shield. Make sure
to equip them.
Make sure to save your game at the church whenever
you need to. When you are ready, go outside the
town walls.
Vermilion and Cave areas are hard to go through,
unless you know how to go through it. When in the
World of Vermilion, or in Caves, you can only turn
direction with 'Left' or 'Right', and you can only go
forward with 'Up' or backwards with 'Down'.
In the fight scene, you can normally walk around like
in towns. Use the 'C' button to swing your sword to
attack, and use the 'A' button to cast a spell (which
you will get a little bit later in the game). Monsters
can attack in groups as low as 1, or as many as 8.
To escape, simply walk over to the left or right sides
of the battlefield. There are 3 ways that a fight can
end, you kill all of the monsters, you escape, or, you
die in battle (lose all of your HP) and if you do die
you are taken back to the last church you visited with
1/2 of your money gone.
Where the little 'Erik' icon is on the map is where
you can find treasure. This one contains 50 Kim. For
the entire World of Vermilion map, click on the link.
The map shows you every treasure location in the
World of Vermilion in red squares. Unless it is hard
to get, or if they are maps or important treasure , I
will not help you find treasure. Remember that once
you open the chest, you must remember to use the
'Take' command to get it.
When you level up, the music will play and your
stats will be shown. Also (this is the best part of the
game) when you level up, your HP and MP are
completely restored to 100%. Allowing you to carry
on without having to waste money at an Inn. Right
about now, I'd go back and buy a Leather Armor,
a couple of Candles, and a the rest on Herbs. When
you are ready, head down to Peak Cave.
Hey? Who turned out the lights? For those of you
who are scared of the dark (and even those who are
not) use a Candle and your problem is solved. Keep
in mind that Candles burn out after a while, so always
keep a spare one handy.
The map is here. With the map, you don't have to
go around a cave blindly. Click the link for the map
to Peak Cave, complete with treasure locations.
Talk to this guy to recieve the Ring of Wisdom. Head
out of the cave and head back to Wyclif. Rest up
(unless you leveled up before entering town) and
save at the Church.
Talk to this guy for a Map to Parma, where the King
of Parma, has the Ring of Sky.
The route to Parma (did someone say Phantasy
Star?) is straight with nothing to lose you.
