Idle Swordsmen?

Upon reaching Edo, you may or may not notice the samurai look a little... down. It would appear something is draining their energy and making them perform like suckarai.... ugh, that was bad. Head north to the grand palace and talk to King Toro to learn about what is going on.
Toro and his daughter, Tamago (who likes you an awful lot!) inform you of the current situation: the evil Bongoman who lives in Mt. Wasabi to the south has made the people weak and apathetic with his evil music! Your orders are to head south and break up Bongoman and the Rockin' Skeletons band... with your ninja skills, of course!
But first, we prepare for another cave, and an actual Boss Battle. Head to the item store, and stock up on items. Also, purchase the following equipment: SHOGUN SWORD, and EASTERN GEAR. If you need DRAGON EGGS, visit the house without a sign and play Samurai Scorpio's game to win more, for free.

If your Equip Screen looks like this, you're ready to go!

Head south to enter the first cave of Mt. Wasabi, and to run into a slight problem... another special stage (this one is a 3-parter!) Your main concern is not to fall in the lava this time around, so bounce across the bouncy platforms carefully. When you reach the part with the spiked ceiling, I suggest you use Dragon Eggs to cross and make things easier.
In the second part of this special stage, you'll have to run really fast to evade the falling spikes from the ceiling. At the second spiked ceiling here, slowly inch toward and away from the spikes to "scare" them off.
The third part has us dealing with more of those jumping fire things. Just be careful where you jump, and you'll do fine. When you reach the area in the screenshot, use some Dragon Eggs to cross if you aren't confident in your jumping abilities. Shortly after these difficult jumps is the exit, and the entrance to Bongoman's Lair.
