Contrary to what the metaphor states, we are going to stay on the beaten path this time, rather than run around like the free spirits that we are. From Arcadia Town, travel north through the giant dirt path until you reach what appears to be a cave entrance. This is where the wise man resides, but we will have to climb to the summit first. |
Another 2D Special Stage awaits us here. This one is pretty easy... all you have to do is ride the boat to the other side, jumping over the floating rock platforms. However, when you reach the part with the spikes, jump off the boat and take the low route to make things easier. When you reach the end, you'll finally meet the great Wise Man... |

And as we figured, he's not all he's cracked up to be. Turns out Mr. Slowpo is a very fitting name for him... he's an idiot. However, he does recommend seeing an actual wiseman that we should be familiar with. His name is Notruedamus, and he lives all the way back in *groan* Yokan. Looks like our long walk is far from over... At least Slowpo gave us the SERENITECH Magic spell. |
