The Forbidden City Ad Avis takes you out to the ruins of the Forbidden City. After his hocus-pocus fails to open the door inside, he tells you to find a way. Use the mirror you got from Zayishah to move the moonlight onto the door. It'll open. Walk inside. Just as you step in, the door slams shut behind you, leaving you suspended in darkness. Rub the lamp, and the Fire Elemental will light your way. Move to the next screen. Now there's an underground river blocking your way. A few logs come down the first waterfall, continue down the water in front of you, then go down the other waterfall. Walk over to the closest shore to the river and jump when a log gets in front of you. When it passes another close shore, jump again. Of course, that's not all in this room. A small windhole is creating a vacuum. If you try to continue on, you'll get sucked back. Fighters have to force the rocks near the windhole, Wizards have to cast Force Bolt on the rocks, and Thieves have to pick the rocks. The rocks will collapse, sealing the windhole. Continue up to the next floor and past the first room. HOLY SHIT! The next room is full of hot lava and fire geysers that regularly erupt. Use water to cover yourself in water, lowering the damage you take in here. Walk down the path, being careful not to get hit by the flames or touch the lava. When the water starts to evaporate, quickly use water again. Eventually, you'll reach the next room. Okay, there's a big door on the floor below you, and no way to get down there. Just walk to the edge of the cliff and jump! You'll take some heavy damage, so be sure to use a healing pill if you have any. Now approach the door. It'll tell you to speak the name of power. The answer is Suleiman. The door will now open, revealing the next room. This place is LOADED with treasure, ranging from gold coins and jewels to golden weapons and armor. However, everything here is booby-trapped; so much as touching a mere gold coin will get you impaled, crushed, falling down a pit, or simply vaporized into oblivion. Just ignore the treasure and head to the last door. You'll now witness another cutscene. You found Iblis, but Ad Avis turns out to be-*gasp*-a villain! He'll knock you out, then use his magic to forever block the door leading out of the chamber. He'll then teleport back to Rasier. Well, I guess it's over... Wait! Something's flashing on that stalagtite (or is it stalagmite?). Head down and look at the flash. It's a ring! Get the ring, and you'll now be in possession of a Djinni Ring! And inside that Djinni Ring is...a vastly incompetent Djinni. Oh well, at least you get wishes. Ask about wishes, and you'll get the usual "three wishes" lowdown. However, the Djinni can only grant three types of wishes: Health, which restores your HP, SP, and MP to full; Prowess, which raises one skill by 50 points (it doesn't work on Honor, though); and finally, teleportation, which will teleport you to as close to Iblis as the Djinni can get you. Don't worry about Health; rather, concentrate on Prowess, ESPECIALLY if you plan to import into QFG3! Wish for two skills of your choosing (pick ones that are important to your class), and wish for teleportation. The final battle draws near! A look at the Rasier of old. The new one doesn't look much better. |
