The Final Battle You'll be teleported in front of the Rasierian Palace. Your katta friend from before, Sharaf, will tell you that the underground is prepared to launch an attack on the palace, and if you plan to get inside, then you'll have to hurry before the battle begins. Note: Thieves have a completely different route. Click here for a walktrough of that path. Make your way to the gates. A Eunuch patrols the top, while two Rasierian guards are in front of the gate. Fighters have to fight their way inside. Kill the two guards QUICKLY, then force the gates and run into the palace. Wizards can simply cast Dazzle on the guards to blind them, then cast Open on the doors before running inside the palace. After a brief text scene, you'll be on a balcony overlooking the entrance to Ad Avis's ritual chamber. Unfortunately, Khaveen is guarding it. Wizards have it easy here; just cast Calm to get rid of Khaveen, then cast Levitate to float to the ground. Cast Open from a distance to open the doors without getting blown up by the trap, then run inside, being sure to cast Reversal just before entering. If you're a Fighter, though...all I can say is that what you have to do is harder, but much cooler. Climb the rope by the side of the balcony, and Khaveen will challange you to a sword fight. Of course, our hero isn't one to back away from a challange; he'll draw his sword and charge! Unfortunately, Khaveen is extremelly skilled with the sword. After about three hits, he'll knock the sword out of your hands and command you to yield. Of course, you won't give him the satisfaction; get the sword, and you'll grab your sword while barely blocking a death blow from Khaveen. Now hit him three times, and he'll drop his sword. If you're evil or lazy, just hit him once, and he'll die. However, if you want to become a Paladin, tell Khaveen to get his sword. He'll pick it up, and the battle will continue. Eventually, he'll go down. Now run up to the door and force the door. You'll get hit by the trap. Force the door again, and it'll open. Use Healing Pills, then enter. Immediately, a statue will come to life. Wizards WILL get hit, no matter what. Just take it like a man. Fighters will enter combat, but escape; you can't win. Anyway, Ad Avis is lighting the candles in the Seal of Suleiman; if they are all lit, then Iblis will be free, and the world will be destroyed. Fighters have to run up to an unlit candle, then kick the candle to move it away from the seal. Wizards can simply cast Fetch on an unlit candle to ruin Ad Avis's plans (just make sure you have Reversal ready). Naturally, Ad Avis will be royally pissed. If you're a Wizard, he'll use a spell that will change you into your animal form (a Saurus, in your case), but thanks to your Reversal, it'll bounce off and hit Khaveen, who just happened to walk into the room at that very moment. He'll turn into the snake he is and slither off, and Ad Avis will realize that you have a Reversal spell, so he'll begin to chant a spell that will GO AROUND it! As a Fighter, he'll just pound you with Flame Darts, but they won't do much damage. Anyway, you'll have to stop Ad Avis before anything else happens! Fighters have to run like hell up to the brazier to Ad Avis's side. He'll turn it into a pillar of flames, but that won't stop you; just run through, and you'll push him out of the room. Wizards have to move closer to the other side of the room and cast Force Bolt on the wall between the first and second pillars. It'll bounce off, hitting the brazier, sending it toppling into Ad Avis, pushing him out of the room and to his death. And the evil wizard died...and the people rejoiced...Anyway, your Djinni will take Iblis back to the Forbidden city for another thousand-and-one years, but not before revealing the prophecy about you (it's not an RPG without a prophecy, now is it?). The puppet Emir that was put in charge is found to be hiding under his bed. After hearing what happened, he'll proclaim that the evil rule of Ad Avis and Khaveen is over...and once again, the people rejoiced...But there's one more thing to do. You'll be in front of the cracked fountain in Rasier. The Water Elemental will be released into it, causing the fountain to once again fill with water. Also, through the magic it holds, the elemental will transform Rasier from a bleak shadow to a full-blown city of life...and the people rejoiced yet again... You'll now be back in Shapier, inside the Sultan's palace. Everyone that you did something for will proclaim your deeds, ending with your Saurus. A quick swig of the Dispel Potion will reveal that your mount is actually- no, not spoiling that. Anyway, congratulations, Hero of Speilburg and Prince of Shapier! You have done well! But your adventures are far from over, for another evil is on the move. Will you be able to combat this threat? Only time will tell... TO BE CONTINUED IN QUEST FOR GLORY 3: WAGES OF WAR! |
