Level 5

Here is when things get tougher. The walls though have a cool design. The monsters here are the toughest you have fought yet. Most of Level 5 winds around the center of the Level. Grab all the treasure that you can hold. There is a 3rd Magic Ring here at (24, 28). The place you want to go to right now is to the Fairy Fountain at (4, 26). Just check it out for now, as you can do nothing. Go north a ways and at (9, 5), you will find the Light Armor. Give it to Hiro. Now use Egress and warp out.

Head to the castle. Talk to the Princess and she will say that she told the story of how Hiro had to kill his father in order to save her. She begins to cry and Theos will take and place the tears in a vial. If you listened to Edward in the Tavern, you should know that Tears of somebody who holds you dear to her heart, will awaken the Water Spirit.

Go back to the Fairy Fountain and use the Vial of Tears. The Water Spirit will awaken and boost the power of the Arms of Light, making Hiro the Shining Knight. Now, you are almost ready to fight Dark Sol. I say almost, because you are missing some things. Go north and fall down the pit at (7, 6) back down to Level 4. Grab the only treasure in that area, the Miracle Herb. Climb up the stairs and follow the last run.

When you come to a hallway with fire urns, go past it, and grab another Miracle Herb a little bit past it.

Hint: You may encounter Crystal Oozes in this part. Take my advice. FIGHT THEM. They have only 2 HP, and are worth a whopping 30,000 Experience Points each. But, there is one catch. They are hard to kill. They can also cast Muddle (2) and Freeze (4). Also, they may run from battler, or even call other monsters to help fight. Be careful. Regular attack will just miss unless you have a critical hit. I had Milo use Blast (2), and Pyra use Bolt (1). Sometimes they take out 0 HP, and sometimes they take out 1 HP. And of course, sometimes they have 3 HP (HP varies in this game). If you can kill them, give yourself a pat on the back and 30,000 Experience Points for each one you killed.

After fighting a few Crystal Oozes, you should easily get up to Level 50 by then. Milo and Pyra's spells will be at their max (including the all powerful, Bolt (4) spell). Pick up the last Miracle Herb at the Alkemist Shop. Now, make sure to update your inventory to this:

Hiro:

Milo:

Pyra:

I had Pyra take 2 Magic Rings because it can increase Magic Resistance to the holder (that is also why I had her with the Light Robe instead of the Magic Mail). Now, with this equipment, and everybody at Level 50, you should now go to Dark Sol's Lair. With Hiro as the Shining Knight, Milo as the Mithril Knight, and Pyra as the powerful Spellcaster, Dark Sol should not stand a chance.

Enter Dark Sol's Lair. He will waste few words before fighting you. Now things heat up. Although I found him quite easy to fight. To start off, have Hiro use the Barrier Ring, Milo attack, and Pyra use Boost (2). Dark Sol will only use a few weakers spells, like his weaker form of Demonbreath. Come round 2, everyone should fight. If Pyra gets tangled up, do not worry about it. After you take about 1100 HP from him, have Milo cast Heal (4), and then attack some more. At around 1250 HP, Dark Sol will fall. That is it, you have defeated him... or have you?

Dark Sol calls to the darkness and turns into his final form, complete with Demon Arms and Tail. And you have to start the battle over again. Have Hiro use the Barrier Ring again, Milo use the Magic Ring (if he had cast Heal (4) earlier, if not, have him wait until everyone is down to about 100 HP before casting it), and Pyra use Boost (2). Dark Sol may attack twice in one round, so be careful. If one person gets too low, have Milo use the Heal Ring. Now you want to release the heavy guns. Have Hiro and Milo attack, and have Pyra use that long awaited, Bolt (4) spell. Bolt (4) should take out about a good 200 HP off him. Hiro and Milo should be take around 150-200 HP off for each turn. Dark Sol really cannot hurt you just yet, or at least too bad. His Level 3 spells take about a low 30 HP away, and his attack arm take about 40-50 HP away. Not too tough. After taking about 2000 HP off him, the Demon Arms will fall and the tail will come up. His tail can take a good 100 HP away, and he himself will cast the full form of Demon Breath on you, doing about 80-100 HP damage to each member. When all HPs get below 100, have Milo use Heal (4). If one person's HP gets too low, just remember to have Milo use the Heal Ring. After a few attacks with Bolt (4), Pyra's MP should be wearing down. Have her use the Magic Ring to increase her MP for another attack of Bolt (4).

After the Arms fall of Dark Sol, you have to muster out another 1200 HP. Keep the HP up, and follow the same strategy and Dark Sol should soon die. You will then be warped outside the Labyrinth, which you cannot enter again. Go to the Castle and talk to the King twice to end the game.

Congratulations! You just finished one of the most complex RPG's ever made. Give yourself a cookie for beating Dark Sol.
