From Kirof, head east to Medan. |
In Medan, you'll run into Mark from Kirof when you
try to enter the castle. |
Go down the stairs in the northeastern part of the
castle. There, you'll overhear a conversation between the Princess
and a guard about the fake Hope Ruby. |
As you leave the castle, you see Mark running off
and some soldiers chasing him. Looks like he "borrowed"
the Hope Ruby. Head back to Kirof. |
When you enter Kirof, Mark tells you that Reyna is
gone! Our Hero tells Mark to stay in the village, but he insists
on going to. Mark will join the party. |
Head north and go into the Haunted Cave. Reyna also
went in there according to the guard. |
From the entrance, head east and go down the second
rope ladder. Head south until the path splits to southeast and southwest.
Take the southeast path then head south and go in the door on the
left. Go down the stairs. |
Head east and go in the door. Take the left staircase
down. |
Walk south and take the center staircase down. |
Walk north over an invisible bridge and exit to the
north. |
Climb up to the altar, and you'll see Reyna. No wonder
Reyna couldn't be cured- she's been possessed by a Phantom wanting
the Hope Ruby! |
Phantasm:
Have Lufia cast Drain or heal the party while the Hero and Aguro
pound the Phantasm into oblivion. The battle shouldn't last too
long.
After defeating the Phantasm, Reyna wakes up. After
the short dialogue which includes the Hope Ruby being destroyed
during the battle, you'll automatically return to Kirof. Talk to
Reyna, Mark, and Reyna's father then head for Medan. |
In Medan, the Princess admits to the town that the
Hope Ruby was a fake. The people promise to work harder to make
the country truly glorified now. *Sniff* Now head north to the Medan
Mines. |
The Old Man in there mentions that he's been mining
for 70 years, and he found the Hope Ruby... he thought it was real
too. How strange... Head south to Medan and then east to the caves. |
The cave is very straight-forward. The exit is in
the northeastern part. |
Head southeast from the caves to get to Belgen. |
The people here are very paranoid... |
When you talk to the townsfolks, it seems that the
monsters are demanding ransoms (sacrifices). A girl named Jerin
has been ransomed now. |
Talk to the maidens in the chamber, and one of them
will ask you to go to the Dais Key cave to the southwest to get
the key so that you can save Jerin. |
Head southwest to the Dais Key Cave. |
Walk southwest and down the stairs. |
Walk west and go through the door then down the stairs. |
Walk around the platform and go down the stairs. |
Walk south and go down the stairs. |
Walk north through the door and talk to the man. He'll
give you the Dais Key since you've talked to his sister. Now leave
the cave. |
Head west from Belgen to reach the cave that will
take you to the North Tower. |
In the cave, head west and go through the door which
you can open with the Dais Key. |
Walk south and down the rope ladder and head west
across the bridge. Then go down the ladder. Head west and go up
the 2 rope ladders then head west and up the stairs. |
Head west to the altar. Walk up the stairs, and you'll
see Jerin. Try heading to the right of the altar, and you'll get
a better look at her. |
Try to leave the altar, and you'll see a dragon come
up and abduct Jerin. Now leave the altar. |
Head north to the North Tower. |
Step on the teleporter and walk north past the first
4-way intersection and take the door on the right on the 2nd 4-way
intersection. Go up the stairs. |
Walk south and then head to the right and walk north
and up the stairs. Keep walking up the stairs until you reach the
roof. |
Head to the teleporter seen in the picture to the
right. Take the northern teleporters each time, and you'll meet
the Dragon. |
When you talk to the Dragon, he rambles on in his
typical evil villain rant about the greater evil, Amon, being revived.
He decides your death will help his cause so he attacks. |
The Follower isn't very hard. Have Lufia cast Drain
and use Stronger to heal while having the Hero and Aguro pound the
Follower into the next life. |
After the battle, Jerin will be over-joyed that you
saved her. You'll automatically return to the village. |
Jerin wants to join you, but our courageous Hero doesn't
want to endanger her so she decides to stay in the village. |
Leave the village and head east across the desert
to Surinagal. Here, you'll learn about the Lost Forest to the south
which you'll need an elf to get through. You'll also hear of the
Isle of Forfeit which has all the items ever traded... how strange.
Head southwest to the Guide Station. |
Talk to the old man inside. He'll tell you that you'll
need a guide to get through the forest. Accept his offer. |
It seems that Jerin will be your guide. After a hilarious
scene, Jerin joins the party. |
Now that you have Jerin, take a brief interlude and
go back to Grenoble if you're above level 20 and get assigned the
quest to get the Golden Pawn. |
Head east and go north through thd door. |
Head east again and take the door on the far right. |
Walk over the poison marsh and go through the door
on the right-side. |
Get the Golden Pawn from the chest and head back to
Grenoble to collect the 3000 Gold. Then go back to the Lost Forest. |
Follow Jerin's directions to get through the Lost
Forest. |
Walk east through the shrine to get to the islands. |
