Harvest Moon is the first game in the, well, Harvest Moon series. In it, you always play this hick farmer Jack, who seems to always be way too young and inexperienced to run a farm on his own, yet still succeeds at it and is always a hit with the ladies. While not the greatest of games, it laid down the basis for some great sequels, like the Nintendo 64 version or the upcoming Gamecube version.
