Getting the Sylph Summon
You can get Sylph as soon as you get an airship in the underground, but i suggest waiting a bit unless you plan on running away from everything (not that bad of an idea). Fly to the northwest and you will find a cave. |

Be sure Rosa casts Levitate on the party on every floor to avoid damage. The monsters in the cave aren't particularly difficult, but they aren't worth the effort to fight them all because you don't get much exp/gp. |
A great thing about this cave is you get the Avenger, a sword for Cecil. This is the 5th strongest sword in the game and definitely worth it if you come at an early time. It's also a good weapon to toss at the last boss. |

Eventually (this is a fairly long cave) you will reach a house. Inside you will find a way out so if you want, go collect all the treasure in the cave, some of it's pretty useful. |
When you enter go talk to the Sylph right ahead and you will learn the call spell. It's an ok spell when you're building up levels but doesn't compare to Leviathan or Bahamut. This is also how Yang survived the explosion. If you come after the Giant of Babil however, you won't find him here. |
