From Yass Plains to the Defeat of Marlwolf

Continue on here.
Back to the index
Well once you exit to the north from the city, you'll encounter a bunch of Servbots driving tanks. If you have enough range on your blaster you can actually kill them without alerting them. Mow your way through them until you get through the plateaus.
Turn around and get on top of a little hill shown here. From here you can hop onto the ledge of the plateau and climb up. Why is that so important?
Because you'll be face to face with another junk shop. In fact this is the only other junk shop in the whole game. What's the difference? Nothing! Except for a box along side...
Woo! A helmet! This screams out for Roll right now, but you can save it until later.
Right now continue to pummel tanks and enter the next area through this cave.
Kill more hapless tanks and cross the bridge. Data will be on a path to the right, but you can ignore it for now and head towards this ruins entrance.
Don't forget to stop and pick the flowers along the way. They make nice presents for Roll. Remember that you two won't be just kids forever. *Ahem*
Anyway, enter the ruins through this mound to get a very important treasure.
Only, be careful of all the treasures. Some treasure boxes are actually Mimics and they come with a nasty surprise. Continue on through the hallways and up floors to run the gauntlet of fireballs.
Now, reap your rewards! Well since I've dragged you all the way out here, do you know where I'm goign to drag you next?
That's right! All the way back to the Mayor's Office to the Support Van. Have Roll make up your items to a new, shiny helmet and a new Special Weapon: the Powered Buster. This is basically like a bazooka and it'll serve you well here. Make sure you upgrade the powered buster in a few stages of range and make sure to get the energy up to it's max level (which is two). Power is secondary but if you've got the cash (or are willing to blow up enough tanks to get it) go for it.
Now that Mega Man is all decked out in his new gear, head to the path that has Data on it in the second area of Yass Plains. Save and recharge all of your energies with Data and enter the next area.
Showdown with Teasel Bonne! Learn how to take down this digging monster in the boss section.
After your victory, you'll be called back to the Mayor's Office immediately. She'll give you the Class A Digger's License. She'll also try to guilt you into donating money to repairing the city since you did such a bad job of protecting it (ha ha). Now that you've got your license the whole city is open to you. You can also head for the sub-gates too.
