He also has a remarkable healing rate when standing still that prevents death many times. His healing rate quadruples when in a town. He's the only character you actually get to control in this game, so if he dies, the game's over. | |||

Giles is a member of the town of Atland who went exploring in the caves. He got hurt by monsters and escapted to the mountain top barely alive, and is stuck there until he's rescued by you. After you rescue him he will slowly follow you, impervious to monsters for reasons unknown :P | |||

However, after you talk to the elder and learn about the tablets and how you should find them to rescue the villagers, he decides to join you and become friends with you. With this sudden change of heart he is actually responsible for finding two of your tablets, making your quest a lot easier. | |||
