Jewel of the Desert

Almost directly north from Happy's Hut lies the beautiful gem of the desert; Egymid. It seems the rumors in Sandstar were true; all of the adults are here! Unfortunately, they are now slaves of the evil Galands who wish to dig up the Egymid Royal Tomb to find an ancient and powerful relic. However, a few of them escaped to the Sphinx to the southeast and formed a small resistance base, which needs our support. We will be heading there next, but not before preparing for the road ahead. Head to the Item Shop and purchase a SPACE HELMET. Next, go to Leila's house and speak with her to obtain the helpful ESCAPE LEAF magic.

And after doing that, we are going to level up some more and purchase a heap of new supplies. Fight outside until you reach about Level 7, then move on (I suggest a camel ride!). Travel east through the narrow mountain range, ignoring the "S" building (we'll go there later). Keep going south from the "S" building and head left at the small branch in the road. Follow that path to the Sphinx!
