Walkthrough (part 4)
You'll come to a room with tiles. One misstep will put you back at the beginning of the tiles. Starting right before the tiles, take three steps down, one to the left, then continue down to get past them. Continue following the hallways (go through a mirror or two to pick up some decent items) until you come to a hallway to the far right leading downwards. Heal up, use some StarCores to replenish MP, then move down to fight Inouva.
In the first fight against Inouva, start with Fuu using JadeWing, then HolyWind (heal everyone), HealWind (heal one person), or JadeRage (if no one is in dire need of HP). Hikaru and Umi should bombard Inouva with their strongest spells incessantly, FireEdge and BlueFang, respectively.
Once you damage him enough, he changes into his Kelviroth form and a new battle begins. Follow the exact same strategy, and if you run low on MP use StarCores, not StarFulls (you'll need them a bit later). Lafarga will leave once you're prepared to head into Zagato's Castle. Once you're there, use the save point on your left then head north to fight Alcione and two Kelviroths (it's not as bad as it sounds).
Follow the same strategy in this fight as above, at first trying to take out one of the Kelviroths. When one goes down, take out the other, and then Alcione. Again, use StarCores and not StarFulls. Use Fuu's HolyWind more frequently, because Alcione does have a couple ice spells a bit more powerful than what you've seen in the past two boss fights.
Zagato's Castle is completely straightforward, with a few side-rooms where you can pick up items. If you stocked up on StarCores like I suggested, just waltz through this dungeon fragging all enemies with your attack spells. If not, stick to physical attacks and make good use of Fuu's ultra-economical HealWind spell.
When you reach a save point, you'll know you're near Zagato. Use it, then proceed further to find Zagato. Use the same old boss strategy described elsewhere. When he goes down he summons up his own Mashin. Take it down the same way, still using StarCores. Make generous use of the HolyWind spell, as this boss can finally do decent damage.
Zagato's gone. End of the game, right? Nope. Either heal yourself with items or use the savepoint a bit behind you (but be wary, you can still get into random battles even now), then head north through the doorway to ki..er, I mean, *rescue* Princess Emeraude. After a bit of dialogue she goes berserk and sics her own Mashin on you. You're supposed to die in the first battle, so just let it happen.
When you get up to fight it again, guess what? Follow the same strategy you've been using ever since you gained the Mashin spells. NOW you can use the StarFulls, but you'll most likely only need to replenish each character's MP once. Emeraude will go down after a short (for a final boss battle) time, and the ending will begin. |
