Voloh to Denegul In Voloh you will meet an elder elf near the entrance of the village. Talk to him, and learn about a legend involving breaking a sleep spell upon the nearby Philips Castle every 1000 years, providing that you have the three tablets. But some of the elf's friends traveled east to the castle, and are now trapped there. It is, of course, up to you to rescue them. The item shop in the elven village is worth visiting, but the armory is out of order due to a bandit attack. Go to the mayor's house, and obtain a  Movable Mantle plus a  Earth Staff in order to be able to rescue the trapped elves. Next, go to the entrance of the village again, and talk to the blue-caped blonde guy. He should fairly stand out. You'll learn that his name is Thor, and he becomes your best buddy (in about 4 seconds) and gives you the  Tablet of Faith. If you exit the village, Thor will start looking for the next tablet. He'll crawl along at a snail's pace, and since he's immune to monsters, just follow him without worrying about his safety. He will stop at a point somewhere southwest of the village and find the  Tablet of Wish. Two down, one to go! He'll start following you now. Head east to the castle. Be very careful around this region, because you can fall to your death very easily. Save often. Anywya, jump across the first broken bridge you see, head west, and jump across a narrow chasm between two cliffs. There is a treasure chest. Open it for the  Tablet of Hope. Now you've got all three tablets. Head back to Voloh, and the old elf near the entrance of the village will talk to you. He'll read a bunch of gibberish that must have taken the programmers at Kemco many days of committee work to decide (The words are "Hieke Larmerila Kemuhi", if anyone's interested, which may be Japanese or the result of a spilt bowl of alphabet soup). Thor has to leave now. He "has something to take care of". How very convenient. After doing a ninja vanish trick, you'll all by yourself in rescuing the trapped elves. Head back to the castle, and open the front door. Inside the castle you'll find some difficult enemies, so take this opportunity to level up a bit. You'll eventually find 200 gold in a chest in the eastern portion of the castle, a  Gold Armor in the northern portions, and also a  Key of Prison near the middle of the dungeon. Head down to the basement of the dungeon. The door to that is to the east of the first floor. In the basement you will meet some new enemies, including a fire mage which does projectile attacks. However, they are not immune to fire themselves, so you can fight fire with fire, so to speak. Go west for 200 gold in a chest and northwest for 100 more. In the extreme west of the basement you will find a grated door. Equip the  Key of Prison you got and walk on through. Now talk to the villagers, one of them mentioning one Princess Felicia. Now equip the  Movable Mantle and talk to any of the villagers. They will give you the  Key of Philips, and enable you to go to the second floor of the castle. Equip the key and head for the second floor. Once you get on top, just progress along the only path available to you. Be careful not to fall down into any crevaces. You will eventually come upon a chest which contains the  Large Shield. When you arrive at a large door with a lion-head relief sculptures on either side of it, prepare yourself for a boss, namely, Natela. Upon defeat of Natela you will receive a  Silver Sword. Normally, after this you might have to go back to Voloh to get some hints from the people you rescued, but in this case, I will tell you. Defeating Natela opens up the right door to Philips Castle, so get out of the castle and head right. Stand on the phoenix symbol in the middle of the floor to be warped to another place. Get out of the room and you'll find yourself in the Dwarf Desert. There will be some new enemies in the desert, so equip yourself with magic if you haven't already. Head in a north by northwesterly direction for the town of Denegul.
