Chapter 2

Well, you lost Teefa, but you gain Salah. If anything, she might be a better character for you at this time. Don't forget to get your Sylph healed before you leave. Before you go, stock up on equipment, and go ahead and buy a weapon for Darwin; you'll need it later on. Head out into the Draven Pass. It's pretty self-explanatory and not too difficult but the monsters are scrooges, and they give up on very little Exp. and gold. You'll see a person fighting; this is Darwin, your next character. Anyway, continue on. This will take you to the Forest of Doubt.

The enemies are tough; try to hold back, keep leveling up and stay strong. The Cyclops boss isn't all that hard; he has a poor HP count, but keep in mind he's effective vs. your Sylph. If you can successfully defend against his attacks, he's a pushover. Once you defeat him, Darwin joins. Hope you bought that sword, r you'll have to go back to Doraf and get him one. Press on and you'll enter the Crimson Valley. There are three levels to it; at the third one, you'll face Efrite. He's somewhat harder than Cyclops, nothing too hard though. Once you defeat him, you gain him as a second spirit. However, Darwin leaves. Oh, well.

For future reference, Efrite's high Alertness makes him perfect for avoiding back attacks, so if you're getting sick of them, put him out front. Press on further and you'll get into another section of the Forest of Doubt. Some of the monsters here are more challenging, but there are some good items to be found, such as a tent. When you get to the end, you'll find Reinoll's house (hereafter this scene is referred to as the "Reinoll Event"). He will explain what you have to do: find the Four Spirits, along with the Spirit Sword, Crystal Sword and Enchanted Jewel. However, Ariel comes, kidnaps Salah, and you are forced to fight his apprentice Zerel. Hope you leveled up, Zerel can be a bit of a pain. All he does is attack, though... but his attack power is high. Defeat him, and you're no better off...
