Chapter 3

You arrive back in Doraf, and go through a short scene advancing the plot (I'll refrain from disclosing spoilers). Your next objective is to head out into the Ice Mine (a mine for Ice... hmm...) and try and find the Enchanted jewel. I'll take it you can figure out what element many of the monsters will be... Buy some better equipment (some things are only available after the Reinoll event, check the other pages to find out what). Now, head out into the Ice Mine, which is really three dungeons in one, the 1st floor Ice Mine, the 2nd floor Icicle Dungeon and the 3rd floor Polar Dungeon. Beware, this place is very intricate. You'll be going back and forth between the three, up and down stairs. I don't suggest going too far until Rooks is at Lv. 25. The Icicle Dungeon weaves like a snake, and you'll have to go down most of the way before you find Axs. He's petrified, and you heal him. He joins your party, but without equipment, so head back to Doraf to get him some.

Once you can progress further, look for a corridor on the top level that runs from East to West. Keep going down the stairs, and if you do it correctly, you'll come to an H shaped area in the Polar Dungeon. Here you will fight Hydra. Oddly enough, he's Fire elemental, not Water. This battle can be tough, and he has a lot of HP, but once you defeat him (Lv. 30 should do the trick) you'll get Marid, the Water spirit! I wish Axs gave it to me earlier, she would've been useful in that fight...

Anyway, proceed further, and now you'll have to fight Sauza. Also a tricky battle, but he's non-elemental, so that should help. If you defeat Hydra no problem, Sauza shouldn't be much worse. Use Efrite's HP Restore spell if necessary. Once you defeat him, another scene plays out, and unfortunately you lose out again. You find yourself back in the Elf Village, and Chapter 4 begins. It's crunch time.
