Reunion to the Final Battle

Fly back to Rykros for one more time. Go to the
Courage Tower, and west from there to the
Anger Tower. Go in and the Elsydeon will flash.
You are now allowed to enter the Anger Tower.
There are only 3 floors here. Grab the other
Guardian Mail here and give it to Chaz. At the top,
Chaz will be alone in a room, with a familiar figure.
It is Alys, and she is alive! Talk to her and she joins
you (I am just kidding). Talk to her and she fights
you.
Alys can hurt, so use Crosscut against her to finish
her off quickly. She only has 500 HP. When she
disappears, a spirit similar to De-Vars and Sa-Lews
appears named Re-Faze. He will ask you if you
want to know of a technique that will turn anger
into power. Say yes and he will fight you (do not
do this, because he WILL kill you in about 1-2 hits.
Even at level 90, I cannot defeat him). Select no.
Re-Faze will talk a bit and then teach Chaz Megid,
that technique he was talking about. Fly back to
Motavia.
A bit south of Mile is the Edge. This is where you
must go. All monsters in here are Deathable, so
kill them easily with skills like Explode, or Crash,
or Negatis. If you choose Gryz, make sure to fight
a Chaos Bringer until it drops a Defeat Axe. Also,
if you removed the Moon Slasher before losing
Kyra, give it back to her for a 2nd one. Now,
the final equipment I recommend for all party
members. The last 5 members are also ordered by
difficulty to defeat the final boss.
Equipment: Algo Ring, Elsydeon, Guardian Mail
Parma Ring, Photon Eraser, Guardian Armor
Mota Ring, Guardian Claw (2x), Guardian Mail
Dezo Ring, Psycho Wand, Guardian Robe
Laconian Circlet, Guardian Rod, Laco Robe
Laconian Crown, Moon Slasher (2x), Rflt Robe
Mahlay Ring, Mahlay Dagger & Sld, Mahlay Mail
Laconian Gear, Sonic Buster, Laconian Armor
Laconian Helmet, Defeat Axe, Laconian Mail
Taking is easiest because of his great healing
ability. Also, St. Fire can do a lot of damage to the
Profound Darkness. And, Ataraxia is handy to have
for a quick battle. Raja's Regen can make revival
easy as well
Taking is next in line. If she knows Tandle, then
she can do some more damage. NaFoi works
wonders on the Profound Darkness. Medice also
has a big affect on it.
Taking is a little bit tougher than Kyra. The
only big differance is that he has no big healing skill,
like Miracle or Medice.
is next in line. Phanomezer is quite strong, but
her big healing skill is not that strong. Granted it can
revive the downed, but it does not heal much.
And the hardest is . Bet you cannot guess why?
He may have great strength, but he has NO good
skills. War Cry can help him out though, and
Sweeping is not going to do much.
If you take anybody but Raja, make sure to buy
some more Star and Sol Dews. There should be
by now 2 jobs left at the guild for money, but not
much. I usually take Raja, but the first time I played,
I took Gryz. I was at level 54 the first time I ever
played Phantasy Star IV, but after that, I was at
level 42 or 43. Stock up on Trimate no matter who
you take. Also, whatever room is left, stock up on
Repair kits from the Weapon Plant. And one last
thing. Under Macro 'B', put: Other - strongest attack,
Rika - Deban, Chaz - Megid, Rune - Legeon,
Wren - Positron Bolt.
The Edge is not tough to guide. At the end of the
line is the Profound Darkness. Now it is time to
fight. The first round is not tough. Profound
Darkness only attacks on person at a time in this
form. I usually just use normal attacks and Heal
with a Trimate. Keep up the attacks and after
5000 HP of abuse, it will change form.
This form is tougher. It attacks all members at
once. Distortion and Lightning Storm can put
a hurting on Wren or Demi. I use the same
strategy here. Again, after 5000 HP of abuse, it
will change form again.
The final form, and 13000 HP of it. Start off
by using Macro 'B' (making sure that you are
at full power). Destruction will take a quick 1000
HP away from her. The final strategy is this:
Wren - Barrier/Positron Bolt/attack, Chaz -
Crosscut/Megid, Rika - Deban/Double Slash,
Rune - Legeon/Efess/NaWat, Raja - Blessing/
St. Fire, Kyra - Warla/Tandle/NaFoi, Hahn -
Astral/NaWat, Demi - Barrier/Phanomezer/attack,
Gryz - War Cry/attack. No matter who is in, make
sure to heal when needed. Note to self that this form
uses Megid, and a pretty strong one at that.
After a long fight, the Profound Darkness dies and
the time warp opens up, which could kill our heros.
But then, the Elsydeon shatters to protect our heros.
Now, after a long game, you can finally sit back and
enjoy the ending.
