How do you get into the legendary village of Mirage in World 3?
You'll have to start off in Crescent Island (no longer an island) |
Go south. Follow the continuous strip of land from Crescent
"Island".
|
|
|
Proceed down the land strip. |
Land the airship here. |
|
|
Walk about in the forest area until you are teleported. |
Either you have met up with some nasty random enemies or... |
|
|
...success, you have reached to Town of Mirage!!! This town has very
good armor, weapons, relics, and spells. It's shopping time. |
After talking to the magics seller, you discover that their spells
aren't that powerful. In fact, you might already have the spells listed here. So, this
is powerful magic?! Harumph! |
|
|
In fact, there is a second magics seller in town! Go out of
the building, and follow the blue arrow to go inside a "hidden" door. |
Here, you find another magics salesman. |
|
|
Much better! These spells are level six white, black, and Jikuu
spells. (The spells lacking are "Holy", "Flare", and
"Meteo". You must get them on your own) The spells are quite expensive (at
10,000 GP each) but well worth the price. |
This is the armor shop. Note the two hidden passages on the left.
The lower passage leads to a blank wall. The upper passage leads to another
merchant. How to get to him? |
|
|
Go to the top right side of the counter and press "A" to push it
back. Now you can go through the hidden passageway... |
Bingo! A transaction awaits with the second armor salesman.
Actually, he sells you relics. |
|
|
Those not the only places with secret doors. There is another in the
pub. Go past the pub, and walk to the left. |
Move to the place indicated by the blue arrow. Follow it down and
you will enter the pub through the back door. |
|
|
You are now inside the pub on the other side of the counter. Walk
left, and go down the stairs. Exit the pub. |
Work your way down to the bottom of the village and enter the building
opposite to the weapons shop. |
|
|
You can regain your HP, MP, and your Status in this pot. (No need to
stay in that inn) Working your way deep into the building, you will find an
underground complex. |
Talking to this person explains the secret of the Village of Mirage.
Every shop in town has two merchants! |
|
|
The paths in the underground tunnels are hidden. You would need a thief or
someone with the passages ability to see them. The stairs to the immediate left
leads outside, where you'll meet a black chocobo. (You will need this chocobo when
obtaining the Phoenix Esper and Bahamut Call Magic) |
The path to the far left leads to a piano. This is the last of nine
pianos throughout Final Fantasy 5. If you played on all nine pianos, you become a
Piano master. (You can learn powerful Songs from the bard in Crescent Village if you
are piano master) |
|
|
The door to the right cannot be passed through. Sorry, there isn't a
hidden switch or something. You will find its purpose later in the Cleft of
Dimension. |
Finally, the door to the far right leads to the second weapons salesman.
That ends your guided tour of Mirage. However, you could explore the other
"non-secret" areas on your own. |
