The Final Battle
This is it.. the final showdown between good and evil! The grand finale! The end of days! The clash of the titans! The... *gets hit with a brick* OWW! Sorry...
It's time to finish the game. Head back to any town you wish. Restock on every consumable item. Heal up to full. Build your level to whatever you want. I'd recommend anything over 35. When you are ready.... head back to the Temple Apollo area. Occasionally, a star will slowly fall from the top of the screen. What you need to do is catch up to that star... and go inside! |
Welcome aboard Marco's Comet! We're gonna drive this thing to Planet Graviton, where our final target awaits us! Sit in the chair on the left to blast off! Pweeeen! |
That comet sure is fast, huh? Fly to the northwestern-most part of space to reach Graviton. We can fly through those black holes now, so don't worry about that! When you reach the planet, press B to return to the "helm" of the comet, then exit via the staircase. Now fly the Phoenix inside!
Graviton is pretty darn easy for a final dungeon, and the layout is very similar to that of the Dreadstar. From the very beginning, go left until you reach the edge of the map. Don't leave! Go up from there until you reach the end of the wall. Go to the opposite side of that wall, travelling down. Now, just follow the path, but try to save your strength! Run from encounters if you can; you'll need your NP and HP for the boss! When you reach a branch, take the right one and go into the flashing spot to go up a floor.
When you reach the next floor, take the path left and then the second tunnel leading up (the first one on the right is a dead end). Keep travelling the path until you reach a door. Light a bomb and blow the damn thing to bits! Yeah! Boom! Gaahaa!
The next room is very small. In front of you waits a mysterious figure... heal up, take a deep breath, and when you're ready, talk to him. |
Here he is..... General Lion! The grand-daddy of all targets! The head honcho! The master of disaster! A real candyland... of the mind! Err, skip that last one. He's the last boss, and he won't go down too easily, but he's not really all that tough (he spends most of his time thinking of really funny war cries such as "Uh-On!" and "Iiiieeeeerrrr!"). Just give him all you got and then...
You win! Enjoy the nice ending, featuring all of Jack and Ryu's friends congratulating you for a job well done!
And in the immortal words of the great Hiryuu: Now get a job, you lazy hippy.
See you later, alligator! When our tale is greater! |
